A beautiful place to stay. Trevor and Martina had thought of everything. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and absolutely spotless, and they had provided bread, cookies and wine. There was a tea towel and washing up liquid & cloths, and also some dishwasher tablets. The sofa was very comfortable and cosy, which is always one of our priorities! Upstairs, the bedrooms and bathroom were clean & calming. It was a real pleasure to be in the house. A very peaceful area with walks out the front door. Poppleton Park & Ride into York is 10 minutes drive away, next to a Dobbies garden centre which has Waitrose essentials. We also enjoyed Pool Bridge outdoor swim lakes & sauna, 20 mins away. Perfectly positioned house to explore York, Harrogate & surrounding countryside. We highly recommend staying here!

A long awaited break and worth every minute. Quiet, pet friendly, walks from the site available, so for a short break, plenty to do in the area without having to go far.

Just got back from a birthday weekend at The Potting Shed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay perfect for a birthday weekend! We were pleasantly surprised to discover what a charming, quintessentially Yorkshire village Tockwith is. So beautiful all around not far from York. Kathleen was so helpful and friendly, very responsive to our questions and made us so welcome. Nothing was too much to ask. We would greatly consider staying here again, highly recommend.

We had a lovely little last minute weekend getaway for some much needed peace! Michelle was very helpful with helping us locate the cottage, sending me a clear detailed description of how to find it with many pictures making the check in experience nice and stress free :) the little cottage is so lovely, very well designed and looked after! Plenty spacious for 2 and had everything we needed, and the village was such a peaceful little place! Still had access to shops with a big retail park with everything we needed a 15 minute drive away, and a park and ride that was very affordable for a 20 minute bus ride into York to save on parking expenses. We had a lovely weekend and would definitely come back here when visiting York again! :)
