We purposely tucked our adorable Tiny Home into the woods to achieve the peaceful retreat you're looking for. You'll feel like the "Little Red Riding Hood" skipping through the woods as you escape the "Big Bad Wolf" of technology and stress. Evenings around the Firepit w/the stars are simply magical!

Mateo 39D at Nantahala Weddings & Events - no pets

The Mateos (named after our architect’s little son) are 4 small and separate bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – 39D is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).

Read a book in the hammock, gather around the firepit, or relax in the hot tub gazing at the stars.

Retreat to a charming, rustic chalet in the woods surrounded by tall fairyland trees. Vaulted ceilings, an indoor swing(!) & plenty of cozy spots give you space to relax. Hang the Sky Hammock indoors or out, cook a yummy pancake breakfast in the kitchenette, play a game together, put a record on, gather around the fire pit for s'mores after a day of adventure, or just cozy up with a good book... If you need a place to unplug or reset, In-the-Trees-House is the place for you.
