Perfect place to stay if you enjoy the beautiful, quiet surroundings of the Beetsterzwaag forest. Great for a family of 4 with small children. There’s a playground across the street with an animal farm. The supermarket is within walking distance (10 min)., And you are literally around the corner from biking and walking trails. And, only 30 mins away from a city like Groningen or about 1h from the Wadden sea coast. The hosts are warm, friendly and very helpful.

What is the house in a unique location! It is very clean and cozy. It's great to be able to walk right into nature. It's also nice that there are two terraces, so you have more opportunities to sit outside sheltered.

Had a very nice stay in the holiday home at the Friese Wadden holiday park. We were at the Women's Fair in Leeuwarden, so after working hours we were able to relax in the house. Also nice beds and everything was clean. The tranquility and views were fantastic. We will definitely come back.

Last weekend I had an unforgettable stay with friends in a beautiful house surrounded by nature. The house was spacious and comfortable, ideal for our group. The area offered plenty of opportunities for relaxation and adventure, with beautiful walks and a visit to a charming village. It was a perfect weekend to enjoy and recharge together, and we look forward to coming back again.

Had a wonderful week between the birdsong and the humming of the bees. A place to relax and unwind. The house was spacious and equipped with every comfort. As icing on the cake, spent another evening in a hot tub with a view of the setting sun in the meadow. Contact with the hostess was pleasant and went smoothly.

We had a great stay at Warns in the beautiful family lodge. Very idyllic, clean, cozy, great amenities, beautiful private garden, very family friendly, enough space for many people in the cottage, very well equipped kitchen. Right next door are a small playground and an enclosure with sheep and a horse. Our son loved it. The pool has also been nice, just a little cold for small children. The host was totally friendly and helpful and explained everything on site at the lodge. Thanks for the great time. We will come back. :-)

Aryette was a super friendly and helpful hostess. We felt very welcome and right at home. Communication and check-in/out were super easy and straightforward. Can only recommend it for a quiet time with the family.

Very nice place, we felt immediately comfortable. Everything is high quality and practically furnished, furniture and pictures are tasteful, there are beautiful and special lamps everywhere. We had a lot of spices, oil and our own knives with us, that wouldn't have been necessary at all. Irene was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Those were very special days for us, thank you so much!

Frootje was very responsive to our requests. The welcome went well and we had a nice weekend at the house.

The house was as described. Stayed here with 4 adults and a dog and had plenty of space. It was very clean like the bathroom and floors and there was no dust to be found. Also in October we could enjoy the terrace. There are also fun games, books and movies available. From the house you can walk in Lemmer or towards the Brekken. Nice host Evert is very pleasant in communication.

We had wonderful days! A very comfortable cottage that was not lacking, in a very quiet area, in the middle of the meadow. A short distance from Leeuwarden. Very friendly owners. Highly recommended!

We spend a wonderful weekend there with friends. The location is lovely and quiet, but close to lots of activities in the area. Perfect place to stay, we'll definitely come here again.

This is the best Airbnb we've stayed in. It's a fabulous home with a beautiful garden and is in a quiet location with lovely views over the Friesland countryside. Geertje is a wonderful host. Just perfect.🙂

A comfortable and nicely furnished house, with every comfort! Beautiful surroundings with good hiking trails. It was also great for the children, nice outside rabbits on the property. Highly recommendable!

We had a wonderful week in this house. 6 adults and 6 teenagers had plenty of space and were very happy with 8 bathrooms. Large well-equipped kitchen. Anna was a skilled and pleasant hostess. Responded quickly to questions and gave us great tips and information. We went to the large bathing beach in Lemmer 20 minutes away. Had a great dinner at Pavillion t’Mar on the nearest beach. Rented bikes and explored the surroundings, rented boat on the canals. A full day in Amsterdam was mandatory. Fitness trips on roller skis and in sneakers went well from Rijs. Really happy with your stay and would love to come back! Randi

Had a very nice stay! Upon arrival, some "start-up problems", these were immediately seriously picked up by Gaby and well resolved. We felt right at home in this airbnb. Tastefully furnished and equipped with every comfort. If you are looking for a quiet location: look no further :) Beautifully located on the water. It is remote, but a car is necessary for a message.

Henk is a very friendly host and "De kleine walvis" is a beautiful and well-equipped accommodation. This was our second time here and, as always, we felt very comfortable. Thanks to the good weather, we were also able to use the outdoor area. The location is perfect for a quick trip to the beach with the kids. We'd love to come back!

Wonderful stay, beautiful old house with artsy decor! Four of us stayed, two couples, that was perfect. We enjoyed the island, the house was full of comforts and communication with Loes was pleasant. Recommended!

We found our way around right away. Sandra contacted us directly with questions and gave us tips for our stay. She's a great host and brought us a carrot and fresh eggs. We had a great time. The pool is quite large and we found space there with 5 adults. The sauna can accommodate about 3-4 people. We are very satisfied and can recommend the accommodation.
