This place is highly recommended! This cottage is absolutely adorable, it sits beside Dominique and Alain's house on a cute little pond. There are cats and geese and ducks wandering around, but they didn't make any noise at all! Inside, the cottage is so clever in the layout, with everything you need, from kitchen supplies (vinegar, oil, salt, sugar) to blankets and thick towels. The bed was very comfortable and the Vellux blinds kept it very dark upstairs. Alain gave me tips on hiking (I did the Ballade des Katts walk to the monastery directly from the path beside the property). The local beer in the fridge was a very nice touch and the WiFi worked perfectly, which was good because the cell reception was patchy. The landscape is beautiful and the WWI sights are poignant and well signposted. Don't miss the daily 8 pm commemoration for the fallen in Ypres at the Menon Gate. When the bagpipes played Amazing Grace, there were tears...

Fantastic location, peaceful, relaxing, easy travel to Lille (bus and tram), family friendly and accessible. Really enjoyed our stay.

We found everything we were looking for for a relaxing stay with friends with children. The accommodation is large, friendly, Pierre is available, responsive and there is all the equipment for leisure (pétanque, badminton...). We had such a nice stay that we decided to come back!

We had a great time at the cottage. The environment is very peaceful and relaxing, the children loved the proximity to animals, especially my daughter who is a fan of horses, she already regrets the return home:) Lucile is a very welcoming and accommodating host, she was very good advice for visits. Thanks again for our stay.

Margaret and Freddy make you feel right at home. The location is a gem, secluded fields, horses and not far from Sluis and Breskens. Workshops and custom menus are also available. Western horseback riding is highly recommended! Thank you for your hospitality! Highly recommended!

We spent a night in the trailer cabin and it was a very good experience. Our hosts were welcoming and the accommodation was very exotic, quiet and surrounded by nature. Special mention for breakfast which was composed of local and good quality organic products. Recommended

Extremely beautiful location! Fields next door, large garden (orchard), nice people, everything you need is present. Shops, beach, nature and sights all in driving distance. Truly worth it!

We were there with friends and our children. The house is old but neatly maintained, very comfortable and spacious. We slept well under the flannel sheets. The sauna and playground are pluses. I had a pleasant contact with the hostess Peggy.

We absolutely loved this place and plan to stay again. It is super peaceful and away from the hustle bustle, but at the same time VERY accessible to Canterbury, Folkestone, and Deal - we went to each place and it is a 15-20 min drive max to each from the Airbnb. When you walk in, the place is exactly as pictured— very clean! It was a wonderful stay.

My friends & I had a fantastic reunion and a great time in Whitfield, thank you to the team who accommodated our later check out and answered a bunch of clarifying questions. Appreciate the effort and support, would book again.

We stayed here as an overnight stay for a wedding party in the area. It is a very nice stay! We were sorry that we could no longer enjoy the accommodation with jacuzzi and beautiful surroundings, but it was an ideal place to stay after the wedding party. Caroline is a friendly host who responds quickly to messages. Great!

The cottage is packed with amenities. The kitchen design is very complete, from coffee maker to wine extractor, everything was there. The beds are of good quality, everything was clean, in short recommended for those who want to stay in this area for a shorter or longer period of time. Sabine is a friendly and thoughtful host.

The sheppards hut is simply stunning. We have stayed in quite a few over the years, but this one just raised the bar in every aspect. The interior, with furnishings and amenitites was everything you could wish for, with a level of luxury not usually found in other huts. The exterior too was immaculate, plenty of seating, private and peaceful. The wood fired hot tub was again another level of luxury not usually found in these style huts locally. The surroundings, views and peace was everything we wanted. A lovely 5 minute walk to Elham and the lovely King's Arms. Plenty of local walks to access too. A perfect stay for a few nights. Having the sheep next door was another lovely touch. Both hosts were lovely, welcoming, chatty and responsive and helped when we had locked our keys inside the hut on departure day!! We will absolutely be returning. If you find this place available, just book it. You won't be disappointed.

Evelien is very helpful and friendly. The area was wonderfully quiet and private. Especially as an animal lover a wonderful place, we were especially fan of the horses who came to welcome us every time we arrived. Furthermore, a lovely bed and the bath was also lovely with a little girl. We would definitely come here again!

Beautiful place to stay. The bedroom was a little warm the 1st night but the hosts kindly had an air conditioning unit and fan for us to use. Very peaceful. Would definitely recommend

We had a wonderful stay here! Sandrine's place has everything you might wish for and more: from amenities to entertainment, with a stunning outdoor area and view. Highly recommended for a week(end) away with large groups of family or friends.

We had the most peaceful and relaxing Christmas at this property. The grounds are beautiful to explore and the hot tub made it that little bit extra special. Great hosts, with clear instructions and local recommendations too. We will be back!

I stayed a few days in Lulu's place with my young retriever. The barn is beautiful, with the beams throughout giving the place a wonderful character. The barn was private, with its own small secure garden, great for a drink in the evening. The kitchen is stocked with every tool and utensil needed for cooking. There were walks within a few meters of the barn where the dog could be let off the lead. Lulu provides a great welcome pack to help you settle in and includes plenty of information.

We spent the weekend with 4 with friends and kids at this wonderful place. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming an we will consider them to come back as it was paradise for the kids who had their best time. We loved it, especially the ice cream truck.

Jaya hosted my partner and I and it was one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in! So cozy, well designed and clean and has everything you could possibly need. The views from the arched windows were incredible and Jaya’s communication was so quick, she was so helpful and kind and even gave us a hand when we had some car trouble! Our stay at Patricia's house was excellent. The house is spacious, fully functional, clean, and nicely decorated. Patricia was responsive and provided us clear instructions. She was so nice as to make sure a chair and a cot were available for baby. There is a Michelin star pub few steps away from the house. Had we known in advance, we could have tried to book.
