The apartment is furnished with double bed (180X200 cm), sofa, dining table, etc. The kitchen is equipped with pots / plates, etc. as a holiday apartment. There is a toilet in the apartment and access to the bathroom in the basement. It is possible to use the garden with a lovely terrace. The apartment is close to shopping and with good bus connections. It is 250 metres to the nearest stop. 4A and 11 often go into town. Free parking on the road.

Cozy 1st floor apartment on our farm, located in rural surroundings. The home is centrally located in East Jutland, 18 km from Aarhus C and 9 km from the access road to the E45 motorway. The apartment has a south/east-facing terrace, where you can grill or light a fire. There is room for four guests with the possibility of extra beds. We have a sweet, child-friendly and calm dog, as well as four tame cats, who roam freely on the property. The dog and cats are not allowed in the apartment.

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗

House in the country - The Retro House

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.
