I arrived feeling exhausted after a long drive from the USA. But, what a great place to land in Nova Scotia! I slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. The surroundings are beautiful--tucked amidst trees and overlooking the waters of La Have river- I found a little piece of paradise here. The cottage itself is charming. A well stocked kitchen including treats from the La Have bakery. Can't resist that! Joe is such a friendly and kind host. I appreciated that he was always quick to respond to any questions. He can tell you about all the sights and restaurants in the area. My favorite was Cresent Beach about a 15 minute drive--what a place to walk your dog and experience the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

Both hosts are amazing people—very welcoming and made us feel right at home while we were house hunting. The space is comfortable, beautiful, modern, and spotless! We especially loved the TV with all the channels and the gorgeous backyard filled with birds—it was such a peaceful retreat. I would absolutely recommend this spacious and tidy place to anyone visiting the area who’s looking for a quiet stay away from the city, but still close to the ocean!

I am so very happy with my stay at this property. It was clean, welcoming, and had everything you needed. I had booked this Airbnb as I needed a location near Bridgewater for a work contract. It’s about 10 minutes or less from everything which is helpful. Property is beautiful and very peaceful. I would stay here again if I am in the area.

Another wonderful Easter Weekend with family at The Lookout cottage!! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and the large island is awesome! We love the open concept space. Since we had a nice sunny day, we got to enjoy the large deck and all of the outside seating, overlooking the water! The propane fireplace was nice for chilly mornings. Having a full bath and another half bath is so convenient for 4 people! The hosts are very responsive and provided great instructions about check in and how to find the cottage! Would 100% recommend The Lookout and we hope to return!
