Family-friendly vacation rentals in Portland

We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! Lots of cooking in the beautiful spacious kitchen, lovely walks on the property, and cozy afternoons in the living room looking out at all the greenery. Would happily visit again.

Great place for all seasons. For our winter stay we enjoyed being able to walk to Belmont and Hawthorne Street which had great restaurants and shopping. The hot tub warmed us up after our cold walks. Inside the kitchen is great and has everything we needed. The King bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on (including better than mine at home). Dallas has put so many small touches into the place, creating an amazing atmosphere. Definitely will stay again if in Portland.

I needed a place to crash before heading back to Seattle and Ally’s place was perfect! So peaceful, clean, everything I needed. She knew I was excited about the hot tub, so she met me when I arrived to make sure I knew how to use it. I was also offered fresh backed cookies! I wish I had more time to hang with the animals, but I will definitely be coming back!

The location was very quiet and private, the garden was lovely. The inside was clean and had all the items needed for our stay. Debi was an amazing host. She checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and didn't need anything else. There were snacks and fresh flowers when we arrived! It was a very nice getaway.

Highly recommended! I immediately felt comfortable and at home. I cooked most of our meals during our 10 day stay and the kitchen has really nice dishes, pots and pans. I needed a little help with the espresso maker and Dee was quick to respond. I appreciated the greener cleaning and bath products. The bed is firm with nice linens. Also loved the blackout shades. The neighborhood is quiet and it’s very easy to walk into Mt. Tabor Park. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in Portland with several great restaurants within a short drive.

One of the best places I've stayed in a metro setting.. .Such a cute and amazing space. Close to everything but still so peaceful and cool above all the hustle and bustle in the loft. Would highly recommend it and can't wait to stay again!

Diane and Michael were excellent hosts. We felt right at home and appreciated the use of their hot tub. It isn't the same as staying downtown, but this was perfect for us because we were looking for a place outside of the city where we could relax away from the hubbub, but still close enough that we drove to Powells and visited one of our favorite Burmese restaurants. We will definitely stay here again because it is what we look for in a short vacation.

Melissa’s place is such a cozy home and central to so many wonderful shops and restaurants. The hot tub was definitely a plus especially during such cold, rainy days as there is a cover over the hot tub so you can enjoy in the rain if you’d like! Melissa was responsive and a great host.

We had a wonderful visit- We were very comfortable, it was very clean and quiet, great bathroom and we were perfectly located. So it was too cold we appreciated the private patio and the café lights thank you . All around it was a nice visit. Thank you.

we loved our stay here! the beds were so comfy and the backyard/patio area was so beautiful. we even ran into Veronika's mom who gave us yummy kiwi berries to try. also loved talking to the chickens

Susan was a wonderful host. She made sure we had everything we needed including an additional small heater during the cold snap in Portland. We hope to stay at the Casita again.

Denny’s apartment is the quintessential Portland pad. Spacious and luxurious in a fantastic Portland Residential neighborhood with the famed 23rd Ave a 5 min walk. We even walked to the Portland Art Museum downtown in about 30 minutes. Tons of shops and restaurants on 23rd and very safe with good dog walking. We have already booked our next stay with Denny.

We had a lovely time! The space a clean and so cozy! They had recommendations and were communicating with us if anything came up. They left us a bottle of wine and asked us what type of roast we would like. The spot is in a great location! We were at least a 45 min walk from Hawthorne, Mississippi district, downtown etc. Irvington was a great place to walk around too. And the bagel spot on the corner is a MUST. 10/10 recommend this AirBNB.

This is our second stay here and we LOVE these amazing hosts! They are so kind, friendly, and they make sure that we had everything we needed, even with an extended stay. I was sad that we were so busy with house renovations and work that we couldn't chat more with them, but I am so thankful that we could come back to their peaceful cottage each day to rest after long days of work. My husband and I hope that we can come back in spring or summer for an actual vacation where we can enjoy their beautiful property and walk through the trails nearby when it's less rainy. This place feels like home and I love it! Thank you Mary and Don for the best stay!!

Located in a very peaceful neighborhood and only short drive into downtown Portland. Neighborhood was surrounded with shops, restaurants and more all within walking distance. Neighborhood is very pet friendly. Overall, great stay!

The room is a large renovated garage and you wouldn't even be able to tell without looking at the closed off garage door. It's spacious and very accomodating.

Karen and Eric were incredible hosts! They were extremely reliable and very responsive. We ended up having to adjust our days and they were patient and willing to walk us through the process. My husband and I booked this airbnb as sort of a stay-cation after our wedding and it was a wonderfully relaxing weekend. We would absolutely stay here again!

Our second stay in the apartment, and we found it a pleasant spot. Comfortable, cozy, clean and a responsive host. We appreciate the lovely yard and quiet neighborhood. We’ll be back! Thanks Bridget!

We loved staying at Gina and Andy’s. Everything was as stated and we felt very comfortable coming and going to visit our family. We would definitely stay there again.

Jayme’s place was very convenient for us when we came to Wilsonville to visit our family. Clean nice place and it’s great for us that she shares her house on Airbnb when she is not at home!!

Julie was a generous host. It was a peaceful place for my family to stay and easy for our local family to come for meals and visit. Every morning we had coffee on the large private deck. We sat on the deck some evenings and enjoyed the fresh air and complete lack of mosquitoes. The two full bathrooms for the five of us were essential. We booked this house to have a great place to stay-in and have local family over but it was also close to many things in Portland. The zoo and the science museum were two of them. Julie was responsive to requests and just a very kind person.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location! The house is large and comfortable with amazing amenities. Tremendous views from every room in the house. One of the best rentals I have stayed in - our group felt well taken care of during our stay. Sonny was exceptionally responsive and a very helpful host. 10 / 10 would stay here again
