We loved this little cottage. It had everything we needed including games and films for our little boy. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was shiny and the kitchen had everything we needed. Although it’s small it is well thought out and in a beautiful location.

The location of Tim's cottage is ideal : very quiet despite being just off the high street (where there are a couple of lovely cafés and restaurants) and great for going on hikes and exploring the west of the Peak District. The cottage is compact but meets all needs for a weekend stay - the kitchen is well-equipped and there are plenty of complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Tim was easy to communicate with, and very friendly & helpful. Overall a great stay, highly recommended ! 👍🏻

Fantastic stay. Very clean and comfortable with lots of attention to detail, such as hair dryer in every room, lovely toiletries provided along with tissue boxes just where you need them. The cake and wine (to your liking) is a lovely touch that i have not experienced before but makes a fantastic first impression. Also the milk, juice, chilled water, cereal, bread and condiments means you dont have to think about shopping initially, you can just concentrate on relaxing. Hot tub was set and ready to go with towels provided and the games room provides hours of entertainment! We would definitely return. Rosaleen's cottage was perfect for our needs. It was clean and uncluttered but Rosaleen had thought of everything to make it welcoming and user- friendly like milk in the fridge, some basic cooking ingredients, and some toiletries in the bathroom. These things were very welcome when we were settling in. The cottage itself is full of charm and character and although very old, has been refurbished to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable. The surrounding village has plenty of amenities, especially pubs! We enjoyed plenty of local walks and the surrounding scenery was glorious, with stunning views of the hills, and the Peak District National Park really close by. The cottage is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking. We stayed for five weeks and experienced many types of weather, including snow, but we were never short of things to do. I highly recommend this gem of a cottage and very much hope we will be back.
