Everything was absolutely great, from the beauty of the place to the safety it feels to be there. I really liked the location, just steps from the beach. The place is just as it looks in the photos. What really made my experience unforgettable was the incredible biodiversity of the area. We could see lazy bears, monkeys, and a variety of animals that left us enchanted. It was a beautiful experience to be able to connect with nature in this way. The host was super responsive and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We will definitely be back!

Monica’s place is a lovely spot, it’s very private off a quiet road. It’s about a 7min walk to the grocery store and about 15min walk to the beach (I rented a bike which was very useful). I was there for 2 months working, and the time flew by, Puerto Viejo is a lovely little beach town!! Would recommend a stay at Monica’s if you are looking for a peaceful stay in a beautiful location! Her place looks exactly like the photos and is well equipped for long term stays.

This place was unique and fully immersed into the rain forest(jungle) where you feel inside the jungle surrounded by birds and monkey’s howls so if you love nature and animals this is the right place for you to enjoy and relax with the nature sounds and its beauty at 100%. As well is very close to the beach and the trail to the beach it is also awesome and out of the normal beaches you’re used to as there is a trail to the beach with a unique access that is surrounded by the jungle and you can watch birds and monkeys on the trees, as week big crabs inside little hole so the ground, you feel like Indiana jones and Jack sparrow at the same time 😄! , this is an amazing experience of a Caribbean portion of the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 nature! . Rosa María is a wonderful host and a great person and she is always checking out on you and looking to get your stay the best way possible, she got 4 nice dogs 🐶 and they’re very friendly. We absolutely loved our stay at Lluis and Maylin’s place in Cocles! From the moment we booked, they were so kind and responsive, making us feel right at home. The apartment was even better than we expected — modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. We especially adored the high ceilings, the dual sinks in the kitchen, and the beautiful outdoor kitchen space — it all made our stay feel extra comfortable and special. The location was perfect too, tucked just off the main road and about a 15-minute walk to the beach. We loved being surrounded by nature — waking up to the sounds of birds and howler monkeys was such a memorable part of our experience. Thank you, Lluis and Maylin, for creating such a welcoming and peaceful place to stay. We hope to be back someday!
