“Cosy, relaxing stay at Ty Capel. Communication with Sophie was perfect, warm welcome from Mark on arrival, everything we needed in the cottage for our stay and Sophie and mark were next door in case we needed ‘anything else’. What a friendly pair. Really appreciated the tips and suggestions emailed out to us in advance which helped us plan our weekend and make bookings at The White Eagle pub and The Sea Shanty Cafe, amazing breakfast. Loved the walk down to the beach and pub. Ty Capel is a treasure trove of delights and curios, felt like going back to a bygone era but with all the modern home comforts. Its evident that so much care and attention has gone into creating such a special place. If you like minimalist decor, matching bedding, organised and perfectly placed accessories then Ty Capel might not be for you .. on the other hand, if vintage, retro boho makes your heart sing then you’ll love this place.”

“On the very night that storm Dennis ravaged the area Jills Mongolian yurt stood up to all he gave. And we inside were cozy, warm and loving the extra touches that come with the yurt. I am, a self proclaimed Airbnb snob. I find a place, google it, look at the reviews and then take a while to deliberate whether it’s worth a shot. I wasn’t sure about the yurt but the reviews were excellent and so thought we’d give it a punt. Jill was on point answering messages and was able to quell my fears that the yurt was going to be tested badly by Dennis. In fact when we arrived my hair was perpendicular to my head and everything we ran to the yurt with got a drenching. After settling we weren’t looking forward to the bog-run, however given it was all of 5 strides away and immaculately kept it wasn’t an issue at all. The yurt itself has an aroma that although not unpleasant, does take a second to acclimatise to but the amazing log burning stove puts play to it but filling the room with the heady sent of embers. We didn’t expect much sleep given the storm but a good 10 hours was got due to the comfy bed and linen. We woke to a fridge full of goodies and beverages galore. Don’t hesitate, book the yurt, expect a view to die for, an epic sleep and hospitality beyond.”

“We stayed here in between Christmas and over to New Years. The apartment is really lovely. Spacious, clean, warm and quiet. There is everything you could need. It’s a short walk to the estuary and on to the beaches. It is a very quiet village but well placed for getting around the island. There is one pub in the village the Crown. It is very popular for eating so book well in advance.”
