Monthly Rentals in Ruan High Lanes

It was my first time in Truro and I was really nervous because I had not stayed at an Airbnb where the host lives in. My first encounter with Pam felt awkward cos she had stayed up and waited for me to arrive and I was also exhausted from a very long journey as such I wanted to just shower, eat and sleep but Pam said it’s too late to and she will show me the bathroom tomorrow as such, I did not have a bath that night and had to sleep like that. The next day, pam started to warm up to me. Offered me breakfast. House rules was to leave the house at 10am - 5pm but Pam let me stay extra hours as my appointment was 2pm, Pam offered to walk with me and gave me directions to my appointment. That was a nice gesture. The gesture that got me wowed! Was Pam offering to drop me off early in the morning at the train station so I could meet up with my 7am train! That was a not so convenient time but Pam did that selflessly! Pam is amazing when you get to know her!! She’s a lovely host!!

Great location, peaceful and tranquil spot. Like having a hotel room in the middle of the countryside. With the added bonus of toaster and microwave and enclosed outside seating area. Great base for exploring Cornwall, the local beaches were great, we fell in love with West portholland. Roseland Stores were great for supplies and also some local produce. Used the King Harry Ferry several times to cut down on travelling time to Truro. We were sad to leave and hope to revisit in the future.

Karen is an amazing host. So friendly and welcoming. Easy and prompt communication. Very comfortable chalet with private gardens, everything you need. Great location - beautiful village, shop and pub very close. Good bus connection to Portloe with entertaining bus driver. We spent a few days walking the south west coast path - stunning stretch of coast. Hope to return soon.

This lovely place was perfectly located to allow for me and my wife to explore the Roseland peninsula with our two dogs. The local coastal walks were stunning and so varied. It’s a great base for exploring the nearby beaches, with a wonderful beach within easy walking distance for those who are fit (a fairly steep woodland pathway). Lots of nice places to eat out nearby too, highly recommend the Standard Inn pub. The Cornish Italian literally 5 minutes down the road was very good too. The property was very clean and tidy and easy to locate. It had ample cooking equipment and it was nice to have various oils, foil etc provided. The fresh flowers, tasty biscuits and wine were lovely touches & Annie came to greet us, making us feel very welcome. The garden was nice and secure, & considering our little Jack Russell is normally an escape artist, she did not find a hole to escape from!
