  • What else can I say about this place other than stunning! The house is amazing, great features, space and the hot tub and spa are just the icing on the cake. The surrounding areas are beautiful too. Highly recommend eating at the Higher Buck in waddington also. John was very good at communicating from the start of the reservation and very helpful.

My place is in West Bradford, a mile and a half from Clitheroe, with great views and countryside walks. Although there are no shops or pubs in the village itself, a fantastic restaurant is just a minute's walk away. You’ll love my cosy, compact cottage dating from the 1730's with an original beam. It is located in beautiful gardens bordering a babbling brook. A private patio overlooks the brook towards fields. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS During the current time we are taking even greater care over cleaning the cottage. All surfaces are being wiped down with anti-bacterial and anti-virus cleaner. An anti-bacteria and anti-virus agent is being added when bedding and towels are laundered. If guests would prefer to bring their own bedding and towels they are welcome to do this. Weavers' Cottage is small but beautifully formed and oozing with character. The stone built cottage is located opposite our house and has been operating as a self-catering holiday cottage for the past twelve years. The studio accommodation has everything you need: double bed, cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, two easy chairs, breakfast bar, separate shower and toilet, full central heating, TV with DVD player.
West Bradford is a relatively small village community one and a half miles from Clitheroe. It is a rural community with a number of farms and acres of farmland with excellent walks within yards of the cottage. The area is very popular with walkers and cyclists. The village does not have any shops but the nearby town of Clitheroe, has a very good range of shops and supermarkets. Whilst there are limited amenities within the village The 3 Millstones restaurant is less than a hundred yards from the cottage. It is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers excellent food at very reasonable prices: there is an early diner menu Wednesday to Friday 6.00 to 7.00 pm with two courses for approximately £13. There are always two guest ales on tap and there is a very good wine list. The food is consistently excellent, we eat there at least once a month and have never been disappointed. One mile down the road is Waddington, a very picturesque village with three popular and well regarded pubs and The Country Kitchen which provides a hearty breakfast at reasonable cost. Both The Waddington Arms and The Lower Buck are dog friendly.
  • Absolutely stunning place to stay with the stream bubbling behind the cottage and friendly ducks wandering around the garden 🦆. Inside was toasty warm and had everything we needed (including good tea bags). Loved it!

  • Andrew's cottage is just lovely and we had a great time there (despite the weather). We and our dog were made very welcome. The area is beautiful and gave us a chance to escape the city. We highly recommend this place and would always visit again.

  • We had two fabulous nights and days in this little gem of a place. Cosy and warm, with everything we needed for our stay. Nice long walks, good food nearby oh and not forgetting the lovely, hot shower! Thank you Andrew and Sue for being such friendly hosts, we’ll be back xx

  • Please do not be put off by the size of this property, it has everything you need and more. We stayed with two large Golden Retrievers and found there to be ample room for us all.

  • Lovely cottage, cosy, comfortable and clean. Well located for the surrounding countryside.

  • Cosy little cottage. We needed accommodation for a wedding at nearby Eaves Hall, this place was perfect for us. Andrew and Susan were friendly and greeted us at check in. Its in a very old building but inside it was modern and heating was good enough even in December. They also have facilities for self catering which made it felt more homely.

  • Deborah and Andrew are great hosts who have created a warm, comfortable and clean, private space for guests in their home. I couldn’t fault any part of this stay and in addition, Deborah had laid out some bread and cereals for us to help ourself to as well as tea and coffee whenever we wanted. They also can give you plenty of useful tips for local places to visit. Don’t forget to make time to Pat their beautiful 11 year old dog ‘ faith’ who may just wander by quietly to say hello. She’s adorable. Their lovely home is within 5 minutes walk of the town centre which has some nice shops, eateries and the Everyman Cinema. Thank you so much for our stay xx

  • A really warm and comfortable stay with a beautiful house and excellent amenities. The walk in shower with no step was extremely useful and iv always thought Mira Power Showere the best. My only problem was my stay was too short. Thanks very much.

We are offering our family holiday home we've used for a number of years on Todber Valley Holiday Park. Todber Valley is a quiet holiday park with a good bar/restaurant, play areas for the children, a small store offering all the essentials and a launderette all within 100 meters of the holiday home. There are on site areas for dog walking, with immediate access to beautiful countryside located literally on the borders between Lancashire, The Yorkshire Dales and The Forest of Bowland (an AONB).
The Holiday home is a 35 x 12 foot Caravan with an open living-dining kitchen area with comfy seating a dining table. The double bedroom has ample wardrobes and a door into the main bathroom. Main bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink. There is also a toilet room adjacent to the twin bedroom.
The park feels very much like a quiet neighbourhood. It feels more like a gated community than a holiday park. Most people on the park are residential therefore the upkeep and the tidiness of the park is exceptional compared to some that can feel a bit rough.
  • A lovely little Caravan, clean and comfortable, especially the bed after a long days walking. Great communication from the initial enqiry and throughout booking procedure. Ryan met me with warm welcome and offered great local advise. Had a lovely break away with the dogs and will definately be back again, thanks to you both for your hospitality 😃

  • Great value and good size static caravan. Great play area on site for our kid.

    Sam2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay- Ruth could not have been more helpful, meeting us at the property and running through things with us. Clean, well-appointed and very cosy, we had a lovely few days and enjoyed exploring the local area. We would love to come back in the summer months. The adventure playground was a big hit with our kids too! Thank you for having us.

  • Ideal caravan, amazing value for money. Has a homely feel about it. ryan(the host) was great, met us at the caravan perfectly on time and was welcoming. Would recommend.

    Dwaine2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ryan's property. So much so that we booked an extra night. The caravan is clean, with good sized living area, bathroom and bedrooms. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly. The site is nice and quiet and the plot is at the far end of a row of caravans with a small private garden which was great for the dog. The steamer pub is a short walk away and there's a good park area for kids. There are plenty of plates, mugs and cutlery, however not a lot of glasses but bath towels are provided and the beds are very comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.

This cosy 1 bedroom cottage in the centre of Clitheroe is the perfect location to explore the beautiful Ribble Valley, attend weddings in the area, visit the wine bars and real ale houses and enjoy the many festivals held in the town. Newly refurbished, the cottage has an enclosed outside space and is a short walk from the many bars, shops, railway and bus stations. The host will provide a warm welcome and can share extensive local knowledge to help you relax and get the most from your visit.
The one bedroom has a king sized bed but there is a sofa bed in the lounge on request if guests would rather sleep separately or for children. There is seating for only two guests, but cutlery, crockery, etc for four.
Clitheroe is a historic market town with a famous Norman castle surrounded by a lovely park. The town has many well know locally owned businesses eg Byrne’s wine shop, Bowland brewery, Dawson’s and The Grand as well as being surrounded by many stunning villages and at the door of Pendle Hill. It is a great base for walking and cycling.
  • Fantastic spot if you want to be within walking distance to everything clitheroe has to offer! Wonderful cottage with everything you need and then some. Sue left milk, bread, butter, jam and a variety of teas and coffees for us on arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend to friends and family and would also return in the future 😊

    Bryony2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • You can't go wrong staying at this well equipped, clean and cosy cottage. It's very well situated, close to all of the amenities in Clitheroe. Nothing is too much trouble for Sue and with all of the kind touches made ie welcome pack you will feel most welcome. Thank you Sue x

    Sue2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was always ready to help with everything and she always gives a good care with guest. The cottage was very clean and the location was fabulous. It took 40 seconds to main street and around 5mins to Clitheroe station. Just around the conner, thee is a bus stop goes to Preston and etc. Tesco is just 2mins away and the cottage has sufficient amenities. I can recommend this cottage to everyone and I would definitely wanna stay at her place again.

    Seokho2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet cosy place :) Close from the station and also Tesco.

    Ena2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little space for two within a characterful little town. The cottage had everything we needed for a lovely weekend meeting with friends. Everything was clean, tidy and uncluttered. There was bread, butter, conserves, coffee and a selection of tea including a fruit one. Shops, supermarkets, and a selection of smaller local merchants a few mins walk supplied a choice of anything we wanted. Likewise, churches, theatre, restaurants and coffee shops were all just a few steps from the front door. Although the cottage doesn’t have private parking, there is some street parking and /or p&d parking nearby. Perfect!

    Denise2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very well kept and sparkling clean. Sue wad great at keeping in touch and made an extra special effort leaving out toys for our 5 month old daughter. As well as bread rolls, milk, butter and jam. Would highly recommend.

A light and airy apartment in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Waddington can honestly be described as one of the most beautiful and scenic villages, with a host of local amenities. Our apartment is peacefully tucked away from the main road . Waddington village is home to 3 outstanding pubs, each with their own character and always on hand to offer refreshment after enjoying the incredible walking or cycling that is on the doorstop.
When you arrive, you will find the cupboards are not bare! There will be some basic supplies to make sure that you can make yourself a cuppa, and start your break immediately. I have put together some information on the local area to help you find your way, and enjoy everything as quickly as possible. No wasting time heading in the wrong direction.
Along with the fantastic pubs in the village, you will also find Tolkiens Trail, the market town of Clitheroe, Pendle Hill, Gisburn Forest and the Inn at Whitewell, all within a short distance.

Set in the Ribble Valley under Pendle Hill where the last witches to be tried and put to death lived, Clitheroe is a small market town with it's own Norman castle. It's great for walking, and has lots of small surrounding villages to visit.
It's a small newly decorated room it has a small double bed in it and a cupboard to hang clothes and store a suitcase. The cottage has stone floors and an inglenook fire place, the cottage has under floor heating so is nice and cozy, you would have your breakfast at the kitchen table.
I live in a lovely part of England in a small market town,my house is well within walking distance of the centre, which has plenty of pubs, bars, pub grub and restaurants. It's also ideal for walking as it sits under Pendle Hill which is where the last witches in England came from,It's one and a half hours from the lake district and has a direct train link to Manchester.
  • A very nice well presented house in a great location. Joan was a lovely host and the breakfast was a thoughtful touch. The room is a bit on the smaller side however it’s fine for a few days. Thank you Joan

The hostess Joan is a wonderful, thoughtful and very genuine person, who goes beyond to make her guests stay a good as it gets. We would highly recommend going here if your in or around Clitheroe and looking for a great place to stay.

  • Joans house was lovely. Loved the stone floors and it was very easy to feel at home. We checked in using the key safe, straight in, no bother, cuppa made and then got ourselves ready to go out. In the morning we found Joan in the kitchen offering a beverage, cereal and cooked breakfasts. A lovely stay and a lovely house. Highly reccomend!!

  • A hidden gem in Clitheroe. We booked 'Tilly' as cheap accomodation to add to our Clitheroe visit. We would 100% here everytime we visit Cllithroe and even make excuses to visit. What a fabulous place. Karen the host was so attentive, quick responses, kind, and friendly. The caravan was super cool with so many cute added touches including flapjack, tea and coffee, great mugs, wine and chocolates on arrival and beautifully decorated. Warm and cosy, we didn't want to leave. The breakfast was out of this world, with home made jam, orange cartons and so fresh. Brought to you in bed. Totally fabulous and I would stay here over any luxury hotel. Can't wait to return. Thankyou again. Roxanne and Ben (15/11/19)

  • Lynne's caravan is beautiful with amazing views. She has thought of everything from coffee, tea, juice and snacks to all other home comforts such as throws, heaters, toiletries. The view is fantastic and even though the weather wasn't good enough for us to be able to sit outside, it's a great enclosed space that will be a perfect place to relax in the warmer weather and summer evenings. Lynne responded really quickly to my messages and it was good to know she was on hand as they live a couple of doors away. We can't wait to book again.

  • I stayed at Lynne’s with my partner and our 1 year old daughter while visiting family in Read over Christmas. We had a lovely stay at Lynne’s place. Lynne and her husband were amazing hosts, and were very flexible regarding our check-in. Lynne replies to messages almost immediately, and couldn’t have done more to make sure we had a good stay. The caravan was beautifully decorated and spotless. It was much warmer and cosier than we expected, and we only regretted not being able to spend more time there. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to others.

  • We were house-hunting in the area and this cottage proved just the job. There were one or two minor issues but James responded immediately. It was a pleasure to come back to the cottage each evening, and I would heartily recommend it for anyone visiting the vicinity.

  • This is an outstanding cottage, very stylishly furnished, spotlessly clean and in a lovely quiet setting. More like a boutique hotel than an Airbnb! The local pub, the Brown Cow, is highly recommended. Great service, great beer and food and dog friendly and only 5 minutes walk away. Lovely area to explore too. Cannot recommend highly enough - friendly village and great hosts. Will be back!

Set on the gable end of the original farmhouse, the cosy cottage features an open plan kitchen/sitting room, log burning stove, delightful views, exposed stonework, loft bedroom, en-suite shower room. Outside, a lovely sitting area, extended gardens & beautiful babbling brook. Gisburn's mountain bike trails are just 15 minutes away, while a number of first-class dining inns can be found within a few miles. A delightful holiday home, perfect for a romantic break whatever the time of year.
‘Saetr’ is derived from a Nordic word for a ‘summer barn in the hills’ – where the young girls would go to sleep in the summer and care for the sheep and young cattle in uplands. Often followed by their boyfriends in hot pursuit with romance in mind!
Plenty of local walks (suggestions in the cottage), pretty villages, indie shopping in Clitheroe & Skipton, country pubs serving great food and beautiful scenery. Or just relax, read or watch a movie in front of the log burning stove.
  • Very cosy cute place. High spec lovely decor - just so you know no bathroom or bedroom door as it was open plan upstairs and down. Beautiful location at the end of a lane so very quiet and peaceful. The garden was beautiful and all enclosed so our dog Mabel also loved the spot. Great country pubs ten min drive away. Would very much recommend.

  • We arrived at the Lower Buck Inn on a sunny afternoon and the pub already had a great atmosphere, we were checked into our little lodge quickly. The lodge itself is wonderfully designed and very comfortable, all amenities have been provided for including a fan and a heater! My wife was very impressed with the shower in particular, we had spent two weeks staying at over 8 different hotels and BnBs and this was by far the best bathroom! Oliver was very kind and spoke to the chef and managed to rustle up two vegan mushroom risottos which were delicious! I would recommend this pub to anyone who is in the area! and if your lucky enough to stay there you'll have a great night!

    Archie2019-07-13T00:00:00Z

Patricia added special touches to the bedroom, including: teas, coffees, shortbread and rocky road! In the morning, Patricia made us such a superb breakfast, both cold and hot foods, with an offering of fresh fruit, croissants, yoghurt, fresh coffee and a full English Breakfast (and that’s just for starters!). Situated in a most unique location, high on the Ribble Valley side of Lancashire’s iconic Pendle Hill, it sits surrounded by sheep pastures where hare and fox come to say good-night. Despite this rural idyll, we’re only a five minute car drive from Clitheroe, one of the North-West’s nicest market towns. The views will take your breath away!
In construction, we used the original barn stones as well as beams and structural parts that have been at Knowle Top for many decades. The open-plan living area is cosy yet modern, spacious and luxurious. The bedroom is a vision from a French chateau inside a high-ceilinged English barn. The ideal occupancy is two adults, but the sofa could be turned into an additional double-bed if needed.
The Ribble Valley is one of the U.K.’s best kept secrets. Within close distance of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District, it has a little bit of everything, dramatic landscapes, soft rolling hills, picturesque little villages and also a cultural hub in the bustling market town of Clitheroe. The Ribble Valley is a food-lover’s heaven. 10% of Britain’s award winning gastro-pubs are located around Clitheroe. That’s the highest density outside of London.
  • Me and my fiancee had a great stay here, the view was spectacular from the living room and the whole place is designed beautifully. Great value for money. Communication with irene was great also. Highly recommend staying here

My caravan is privately owned and is sited in the lovely Ribble Valley at Gisburn. The site is run by Park deans and is called Todber Valley holiday park. The site is elavated so there is a great view.
There are 2 bedroom one double and one twin. There is a kitchen, shower room and toilet. The living area has a very comfy 3 piece suite and there is a dining area. There is a good sized decking area with garden furniture.
The caravan is based on a Parkdean site. Todber Valley. There is a play area and a laundrette and a pub on site. In nearby Gisburn there is a lovely deli, pub and a great adventure play area for the children.
  • We stayed in at the caravan in January and we were lovely, warm and cosy. Everything is very well arranged, clear communication and instructions on the property. We had everything we needed.

  • Stayed here New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day...lovely and peaceful stay, it is quiet out of season, not sure if It would be in the summer, the caravan itself was fab, lovely, clean and modern, had everything we needed and more!! The lovely thoughtful touch of mini Christmas tree, Christmas card, and little goody bag (which we throughly enjoyed!!) was a very kind gesture, the views even in winter where spectacular...and plenty of places to visit locally, if you are wanting to eat, the White bull in the village had fantastic food!! We highly recommend a stay at this caravan to anyone, and thank the host for everything she did to make our stay so special x

  • A really beautiful caravan which was luxurious, well equipped , stylish and in a lovely part of the world central to lots of places to visit. The caravan was lovely and comfortable with everything and more that you might need. The views from the caravan were spectacular. The owner is easy to communicate with and was most helpful. The arrangements for entering the property were good, clear and easy. Five stars.

  • A perfect stay over for a great nights sleep. The house was lovely, clean and fresh. The beds were very comfortable and rooms nice and spacious. We were very impressed with the size of the house, as it is a terraced, we were expecting the rooms to be much smaller. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely big bath, which is always a bonus for me. The house was very close to the town cenrtre, which meant we could walk into town within minutes. Having egg soldiers and coffee for breakfast was a lovely touch.

Holmes Mill and the Bowlands Beer Hall is a must see, one of the longest bars in Britain – 105ft 4”- and is home to 42 hand pulls and hosts a minimum of 24 individual cask beers at any one time. • Caravan was immaculate and clean upon arrival. Our check in information was very clear and easy to understand and follow. Messages were replied to very quickly and we could not have asked for more. Extra little touches, like chocolates and biscuits being left were really lovely and appreciated. We were warm and cosy, despite the very cold temperatures outside. We did not have time to explore the site properly or the area, but the views were beautiful and we hope to return again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We would highly recommend.

My cottage is in a beautiful village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are wonderful walks/cycling routes right from the front door. We are spoilt for choice as there are many fantastic pubs and restaurants close by. The market town of Clitheroe is only a couple of miles away with great bars, a variety of food options and of course, a castle. My place is suitable for couples, families, solo adventurers and business travellers.
My cottage is very cosy in Winter with a gas wood burning stove. Equally there is a lovely patio garden which guests are welcome to use in Summer time.
We live in an idyllic village environment in a residential area. My cottage is therefore not suitable for people who want to party all night. Respect for my neighbours is paramount and lack of it by my guests will not be tolerated.
  • Gill's place is a sweet escape to cosy cortege nestled in the countryside. The living room is comfortable, warm and cosy, and the kitchen has a decór that Cath Kidston would be proud of. The location is literally 10 steps to a Spar and Post office, and minutes to Clitheroe and other beautiful places. To top it all off, the shower is hot and strong after a day out walking!!

    Adam2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a great part of the world. Gill is a great host. Will definitely stay again.

    Thomas2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fantastic weekend at Gill’s! Arrived on Friday to a warm and cosy cottage in a quiet village - really easy to find! Was blown away by the attention to detail, the place has such character with a lovely modern twist. The whole house was spotless and we were happy to find some essentials for breakfast waiting in the kitchen for us! Beds were super comfy, excellent shower (could do with a lock on the bathroom door though!/couldn’t figure it out if it did), and basically we all had a fantastic weekend - only a 5-10 minute drive from the wedding venue that we were at on the Saturday night. Definitely recommend the pork pies and bacon from the butchers (less than a minute walk away)! Thank you so much Gill for your hospitality - highly recommend!

    Ella2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Gills place! Gill was the best host and welcomed us at the property. She even gave little christmas gifts to our children! • Great last minute booking for a few quite days with our family close to the Yorkshire dales, the caravan was sparkly clean and had everything you needed. This little onsite pub is great and so is the park for children. Nicky was very responsive. Thank you

  • A lovely, cosy caravan for a quick escape to the country. The caravan was very spacious for the two of us, had excellent facilities (good kitchen facilities, great shower, good heating system and great TV and wifi). Couldn't fault it at all. The weather was terrible so it was really nice to have 3 nights in in front of the TV with the fire on. Will definitely return!

    Dave2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • A spotlessly clean van in a lovely location with lots of thoughtful touches. Nicky replies extremely quickly to enquires and was kind enough to leave the lights on ready for our late arrival. We will definitely return for another visit!

    Sarah2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The caravan is one of the best ones we have stayed in, lovely and warm and comfortable and the shower for a caravan was amazing. The site was abit of a let down but only because we had children and wasnt much to do onsite, and bar staff at the bar there were quite rude when we asked if they will still serving food at 8pm and they werent even though was advertised till much later, but this no fault of the host and like said the caravan was beautiful and so were the views. If want a cosy caravan to visit surrounding areas like skipton which is also beautiful then this is a great place to stay.

  • Stayed at the caravan for a two night weekend with my family. Lovely and spacious caravan, very cosy and warm, on a lovely, quiet site with beautiful views. Location is stunning, Pendle Hill literally opposite the entrance to the park. Very well equipped caravan, beds very comfy. Great hot shower. Perfect home from home and highly recommend. Will be definitely back here again in the Summer.

Comfortable apartment just 1 mile from the town of Clitheroe & the picturesque village of Waddington. The apartment is in Shireburne Victorian House which is within Shireburne Caravan Park. Situated on the second floor Stonyhurst has an oak beamed ceiling in the lounge/dining area giving this apartment a cosy feel. The spacious master bedroom has a King Size bed. Second room - twin beds. Bathroom has a WC, sink and shower. Fully fitted kitchen. Sorry we don't accept groups of "workmen" .
Shireburne Park is situated one mile from the market town of Clitheroe, and one mile from the picturesque village of Waddington, In the Victorian house we have 5 self catering rental apartments, which have views across the residential area of Shireburne Park and beyond to Pendle Hill, Clitheroe and surrounding countryside. The Ribble Valley is steeped in history to explore, but Shireburne Park feels a world away from the noise and traffic. It is an ideal spot for a walking or cycling holiday, or using for a base to visit many of the many North West attractions or even the Yorkshire Dales. Alternatively it can simply be a great place to relax and unwind. We are also home to some of Lancashire great eating establishments. A warm friendly Lancashire welcome awaits everyone.
  • Brilliantly situated apartment. Sparkling clean and very comfortable with lots of facilities. Very helpful guest book to look through. There is lots to do in the local area and close by. Apartment is located in Shireburne house in the caravan park which is a very grand building.
