  • My partner and I spent 5 days at Jamie and Tyler’s Garden Shed Guesthouse and absolutely loved it! The bed was super comfy- perfect for recovering after a long day of hiking! The complimentary chocolate was a great bonus too. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway to one of the most scenic places in Washington.

  • The space was just as described in the listing. There were a few thoughtful little touches such as games and a diverse selection of books to read as well as complimentary tea, coffee and snacks. I could tell they really put thought into making the space welcoming. It felt like when you go to stay with a close friend or relative there was that same sense of homey-ness and hospitality. It was a lovely stay.

    Caroline2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A quite cute space, with everything you need. Great location, with lots of nature near by.

  • My SO and I stayed for 2 nights in the Garden Shed and LOVED it. The space is delightful and exactly how we expected based on the pictures and description. We felt like we were away without being too far from the hiking and sight seeing that we had planned - perfect! We would love to come back, and highly recommend it.

We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night. * Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.
  • Tim and Rachael’s place was so great! Checking in was super easy and Rachael was very kind and helpful. The campsite was so close to the ocean, and the little platform had everything we needed for a perfect little beach night! We would definitely come again.

    Joshua2020-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFULLY PERFECT. Exceeded expectations. The sound of the ocean as well as exploration during low tide were our favorite parts. The sunset was absolutely stunning and glowing. The perfect little getaway. I wish we could have stayed longer and we cannot wait to come back! Also- I’ve never experienced an outhouse so lovely. ;)

    Hannah2020-04-17T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful! Ended up staying an extra night.

    Jake2020-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Whiskey Creek is charming. Minimal light pollution, the platform for the tent is feet from the water. The directions for check in were straight forward and simple. The outhouse is hilariously decorated and Rachael was ready to assist in any way we needed.

    Sarah2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such incredible views! The sound of the tides against the rock beach was one of the most therapeutic sounds I have ever heard. So easy to get to and set up. I can't say enough good things!! I can't wait to go back!

    Candice2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • We just stayed in campsite T12. Awesome location (30minutes from Port Angeles) with hot shower ($5 total) in cold days which made our mornings ! Every campsite has a fire pit (you can buy wood at reception for $5. Campsite is facing NW so you won't get any sun in the morning -something to consider if you going in colder months. I would strongly recommend staying at Tim & Rachael’s place.

    Aleks2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Would give 6 stars if I could. Breathtaking views. Peace and quiet. Nice sturdy flat deck to set tent up. Friendly hosts. Firewood and fire pit to use. For the price it can’t be beat. A really special place

Enjoy the sol duc rainforest in the comfort of a large set up tent and bed. With no hassle! Enjoy a shower and clean bathroom after a hike at our private wooded camp. Large 12 ft by 18 ft tent, on deck. With a comfy bed ready to go. Located between two bubbling streams. With a personal Fire pit, and 8 acres of private rain forest to explore. Hot shower and flushing toilet at camp. Close to the ONP, ODT, and lake crescent. Sol Duc hot springs is just across highway thru park entrance.
    Rain forest in all directions!
  • This campground is amazing! You have everything you need; nice spacious and warm tents, a clean bathroom with running hot water, a community kitchen with all of the basics, private campsites with a fire pit and table, and even charging stations for your phone! Nearby is beautiful lake crescent, hot springs, and tons of hiking trails! There are tons of small thoughtful touches throughout the campground which overall made the experience just that much better! Logan was an amazing host! He’s very responsive and makes sure you have everything you need! I will definitely be returning!

    Mia2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding for campers! Logan has equipped it well. Tent 2 site is VERY nice. The tent itself is very high quality. And the air mattress had plenty of blankets to be comfortable and warm in the ~30’s degree nights. We brought warm sleeping bags too. Weather was great our weekend (no rain), but we would have had plenty of room to hang out in 2-room tent and stay dry if it had rained. Tent 2 site is great for privacy. In addition to the tent 2 site there is a large common area below (~2 minute walk) with many other campsites that look great for bigger groups. We brought only a JetBoil, water, Mountain House dehydrated meals, instant coffee, flatware, and mugs. Though the common kitchen area in the main campsite area had sufficient pots, pans, mugs, cookware, etc (we just liked staying at our site). We would stay here again! Perfect for our father & son weekend getaway.

  • Amazing location! Short drive from cresent lake, beautiful property, and a perfect access point to the rest of Olympic park. Lots of extra creature comforts but still remote enough to unplug. Hot shower, towels and sufficient blankets provided, grill in kitchen area fired right up. Tent 2 had a a desk lamp, chess board/cards, a loaner cooler, cooking grate for fire pit. Great camping option!

    Laura2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • So close to the Olympic Discovery Trail and a way cool/easy place to crash at the end of an amazing day.

    Daniel2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. Awesome adventure, totally charming.

    Carly2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay! This was more than just a tent in the woods as we had expected. It’s more of a campground, and you have access to a shower, outdoor kitchen, barbecue, and other people to meet. The host and his family were so accommodating and sweet and thoughtful. My daughter had a blast and we’ll stay here again for sure.

    Michaela2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are unsure about glamping, this is the perfect place to start. Logan’s photos don’t fully convey the charm of this rain forest campground. It was thoughtfully planned out and the sites are comfortably sized. The yurt was clean and homey. We wished we could have stayed longer.

    Anne2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Logan’s sites were amazing. Great beautiful little spot. I plan on going back for sure!

BRAND NEW!!! You have found our very special place! This is a little slice of heaven... We are located 10 miles west of Port Angeles, overlooking Freshwater Bay, on high bluff waterfront. Our awesome view is looking over the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island, British Columbia, where Victoria & Mt Baker can be seen. We are nestled in the middle of the gateway to Olympic National Park, and everything this area has to offer. We know you will enjoy your stay, "By the Sea"...
Our lovely tiny cabin, (280 sq ft & loft, with porch), is in the country where it is beautiful and quiet. This cabin project has been a dream of ours for many years. We have furnished it with beautiful decor and furnishings. Our queen bed on the main floor, and our king mattress topper on the floor of the loft, are complete with comfortable luxury linens. We do have WiFi, high speed internet connection. Phone service will occasionally roam to Canada, please check your service and settings. There is an electric fireplace inside that heats the cabin adequately. Leading up to the loft is a pull out ladder for access to the top. There is not a safety gate at the top of the ladder. Because of this, and the fact that we are on a high bluff waterfront area, please be mindful to watch your children. It is not advised to allow your children to be unattended outside. Our kitchen is equipped with most everything you will need. We have a new small refrigerator. There is an instant hot water pot, a large hot air cooker (with instructions), a blender, a coffee maker, French press for coffee, grilling utensils, pans, and most utensils you will need. There is also a brand new propane BBQ grill, (with a gas burner for cooking), outside under the covered patio. Since we are 30 minutes from Port Angeles, it is a good idea to stock up on your groceries prior to your arrival. We are on a septic system, nothing but toilet paper is allowed to be flushed down the toilet. (ALL tampons, personal hygiene wipes (even the ones that say on the package that they are flushable), urinary and menstrual pads, condoms, and all baby diapering supplies need to be disposed of in the provided waste can in the bathroom.) No smoking of any type of products are allowed. Also NO open flames of any type are allowed in the cabin, (this includes open flame candles, burning incense, burning sage, or any other combustible items that burns or smolders.) No pets of any kind are allowed on our property. Our cabin is way too small to accommodate a walker, wheelchair, or a bath bench in the shower.
This is a very peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. The sounds and sights you see and hear are the waves on the beach, the bald eagles talking and soaring in front of the cabin, and the quietness around us. Out on the water, you might see Orcas (Killer Whales), humpback whales, and seals. If you have a good pair of binoculars, bring them. There are also not a shortage of black tail deer in the neighborhood. There is also limited light pollution out here, which allows for nice star gazing at night. Quiet hours are from 10p-8a. Only registered guests may stay overnight in the cabin. No parties or events are allowed on our property.
  • This Airbnb has absolutely everything to offer! From the perfectly constructed cabin to the sparkling clean, cozy and delightful interior, to the breathtaking ocean views and beach, to the amazing surrounding nature, to the incredible Pacific Northwest destinations and features, and of course, the peaceful and quiet nights. Jon excelled in his talents building and constructing this tiny house cabin and porch while Cynthia made every effort to have it perfectly sanitized, decorated with style and thoughtfully stocked it up with everything needed which made it especially homelike and cozy. The stunning ocean views reminded us of being in Hawaii and really set this Airbnb apart from most. The ever changing sky’s and tides were an incredible site no matter what time of day. Best of all, there is beach access with a quick hike down their backyard trail. Not for the faint of heart, it is quite steep and a heart thumper on the way up. Taken slowly and mindfully, it’s worth the effort in every which way. We found a beautiful fresh water river coming out of the mountain just a little ways up the beach too which we loved. Not to mention, the wildlife made their special appearances too which was so enjoyable. Another amazing feature about this Airbnb is the mountain bikes they have available to cruise. We went on two easy bike paths in the area and also got the chance to ride down some of the Olympic Discovery Adventure Trail. Wow, what an experience!! There are many State Parks, beaches, freshwater lakes and local hotspots we visited such as Granny’s Café, which have the best soft serve ice cream on the planet! 🍦There was always something fun and adventurous to do each day we stayed. The quiet nights were especially fulfilling for us. It was so peaceful and silent going to sleep we just couldn’t believe it. Crack a window open and we could hear the soft waves and the light winds coming off the ocean. I wish I could take that home with me. We read our books, worked on a puzzle, jumped on our Cellerciser rebounder, drank coffee with the ocean views, enjoyed the fire pit for s’more‘s, cooked our own meals with the brand new BBQ grill and felt right at home the entire time. We’re so glad we picked this Airbnb for our perfect getaway staycation! 🤗 We will definitely be back soon and will be sending our friends too! Thanks again, Jon and Cynthia (and Ruby)🐶! ❤️ Marc adds, “I had a great time. So peaceful out there. Such a great location where you can relax and still have the option to do stuff. I hiked, went mountain biking, beach every day, finished a balloon puzzle, threw rocks. We did something active every day, but our downtime was really chill and cozy. The hosts were amazing!” 🤗

  • Cynthia and Jon’s place was so much more than we expected!

    Nora2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Simply put, this place was amazing! The cabin was a fantastic place to get away from it all and offered us the ability to really connect with nature! From the wonderful views of Canada and the Salish sea to the proximity of hikes in the Olympic mountains, we were blown away at the viewpoints and activities that surrounded us. With the property right next to the bay, we got to walk down the beach and really enjoy the sun and marine life. Jon and Cynthia were spectacular hosts, gave us great recommendations and even built us a fire in their awesome backyard that had even better views of the bay and sea of which they shared with us! Great time, great stay, and we can't wait to get back!

    Clark2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic stay! The cabin was spotless and very cozy, with really nice warm touches throughout. The views are amazing, and we really enjoyed walking along the beach, biking through the nearby trails, sitting by the fire, and watching the sun rise and set. Jon and Cynthia are outstanding hosts and really went above and beyond to make our stay as positive as it was. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our entire experience here.

    Kayla2020-04-19T00:00:00Z

  • Let's start by saying, wow to the views of the mountains and the river from the bedroom window. My boyfriend and I made just an overnight stay and it was l lovely. He is renovating this house (actually family owned), but the stay itself was quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shared bathroom was easy because we were the only guest that night. Hazel and Diesel, David's dogs...welcomed us and walked from the driveway and all the way in! Overall a grea, wonderful stay!

  • Great location for outdoor activities. The place offers one of the best views from an airbnb I've seen. (I've usually stayed in citites or suburbs.) It has a nice country feel to it and the owners have a lot of family history in the area, which is a plus. Thanks again!

  • I really enjoyed my stay here! First thought is the outside motels had a Bates Motel vibe but the inside was cute. Loved all the animals and was welcomed to explore around. Granny’s Cafe was adorable and I loved all the different salt & pepper shakers! Our morning before leaving the power went out (which kinda only made it more fun) and we had a text notification right away. We’re talking about coming back next time we’re in the area.

    Kaitlin2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay while exploring the park. The rooms are very clean and just what is needed. The barn animals are cute and the cafe is convenient. All in all a good place to stay.

    Katherine2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our stay at Emerald Valley. The location was phenomenal - close enough to go to Port Angeles for dinner (Next door gastropub - so good!) but also right by the Olympic National Park for Mt. Storm King and Hurricane Ridge hikes. We also had beers out by Lake Crescent Lodge and swam in the lake, which was 10 mins away, so great home base. The pillows and bedding were most comfortable of our entire 10-day PNW trip - surprisingly luxurious for this little inn. We also really enjoyed eating at Granny’s cafe for breakfast and dinner - what a great convenience - and I was so glad you even served IPAs! Your property is beautiful and the room was everything we needed. Thanks again!

  • We had a great stay here during a recent weekend. The space was well furnished and appointed. We didn’t cook in the kitchen but if we had wanted to, everything was provided and well stocked. There was plenty of wood for the woodstove and we really enjoyed how warm and cozy it made the space. The beds were comfy and it was so dark and quiet that we slept amazingly. The one note is that it’s a mile or so back a gravel road so be prepared for that. It was a great place to stay for a weekend exploring the national park and we would definitely come back again.

Wood stove was amazing for the chilly nights and mornings! Our 2 year old absolutely loved the place and had such fun bouncing around on the trundle bed and soft chair. Would definitely recommend for families.

  • I was lucky to be Cindy's very first AirBNB guest, and she is an awesome natural host! She was quick to respond to my messages, interesting to chat with, and prepared a beautiful guest space. Your parking spot is right outside your private locking French doors. Inside you will find a tasteful collection of colourful abstract artwork and decor. Her home has been nicely updated while retaining it's original charm. The brand new mattress is very comfortable and had lots of cozy blankets and pillows. There is an electric heater right next to the bed too. She had recently set up a TV with a big library of DVDs in the bedroom. She currently doesn't have wifi but my phone's data worked fine (my phone even connected to my Canadian towers at times!). The library is four minutes away if you need more internet, as is a coffee shop and grocery store. Cindy provides coffee and tea though. She also made room in her fridge for my food, which was so appreciated. The location is great, a block from the 101 with forest between, so usually quiet but with quick access to town. I stayed for three nights and had time to visit Lake Crescent, Marymere Falls, Forks and its nearby beaches, and the Hoh Rainforest. They were all beautiful and green even in winter, and I didn't have to contend with traffic or crowds. I know I just barely scratched the surface of Olympic National Park and look forward to exploring more in the future. I highly recommend staying with Cindy!

Our house is located within a walking distance, approximately 1 mile, or short drive to downtown and the BC ferry. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood, where you can enjoy some quiet outdoor time in the backyard on the porch. Minutes away from almost everything in town that you might want to walk too. Higher grounds coffee shop is right up the street. The ferry is within walking distance.

Great place for an easy get away with friends and family located at the foothills of the beautiful Olympic national park. Great access to all this area has to offer including hiking, mountain biking, surfing or just getting away from it all, surrounded by wildlife, nature and beauty. A cozy 3 bedroom farmhouse with all the amenities sitting on 5 acres. Close to Crescent beach, Lake Crescent and much more. Property located adjacent to the Olympic adventure trail. Get away and come explore!
  • Wonderful house and yard. Very private. Close to great beaches and general store that has been there since 1911. Had everything we needed. I loved it so much I went there again the following weekend. It is very close to Murdock beach. Murdock has a ton of interesting fossil concretions and is outstanding. Everyone should experience it. Literally thousands and thousands fossils every where you look and walk. The best beautiful weekend you could have close to Seattle.

  • Ian’s place is a wonderful place to relax and spend vacation time. It is close to the Lake and hiking. There was even a Christmas Tree and lights. There was wood for the fireplace and a laundry room to clean our clothes after hiking. I would recommend Ian’s farmhouse for those who like nature and solitude.

  • Cozy cabin in Joyce. Just up the road from Crescent Lake in Olympic NP. Easy Olympic Adventure Trail access 1/2 mile from house. We spent hours on this trail running and biking. Also 10 min from Salt Creek Park/Beach for sites and surfing. We only used the downstairs but noted other rooms up the unique stairs. Fenced yard for the pups too. Can't wait to visit again in the summer.

    Kurt2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location for a jumping off point in the great Olympics area. The house is small but has more than enough room and beds for a friendly group or a set of couples. The woodstove is fun to use and heats the house well. Will visit again soon!

  • Perfect for a quiet weekend at home with the dogs. We love to come here to get away from the city. This house is very dog friendly. Our dogs love the fenced yard and all the wildlife sounds. We love the kitchen table for big puzzles and occasional deer sightings out of the big windows. We will definitely be back!

    Nicole2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic if your looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and reconnect with the outdoors. Zero cell service which I loved but does have WiFi in the house if you need to contact people. The wood stove heats up everything really well and there are clear instructions for it if you don’t know how to use one. The overall location is perfect for outdoorsy people. Lake crescent is really close and port angeles is about 20 minutes away. We loved our stay at this house and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a similar experience.

  • Ian and Lisa offer a rustic paradise in a perfect location! We greatly enjoyed the serenity of the spot, and the proximity to fun activities was phenomenal! We were really close to the Olympic Adventure Trail, where we completed a half marathon (the GOAT run). We were also really close to Lake Crescent, where paddling was available. The best part was being able to bring our dog, Dax, who loved the fenced yard. Thank you so much!

Welcome to our humble abode located on beautiful Lake Sutherland. Built in 1974, our rustic cabin has been used by our family primarily on summer weekends until now. The location is beautiful and convenient for people who are visiting the Port Angeles area or Olympic National Park and are looking for a place to rest and relax.
The cabin is comprised of a kitchen, living room and bathroom on the first floor and a bedroom and den in the daylight basement. The interior of the cabin needs some cosmetic improvements, but we added the beautiful and spacious new deck in 2017 that provides a lovely setting for morning coffee or a glass of wine or dinner in the evening. There is one bedroom with a queen bed downstairs available for use by guests and is accessed by a (*steep and narrow*) spiral staircase. There is also a single bed in the den downstairs. The entire space is about 1000 sq ft. The kitchen is equipped with the essentials: coffee maker/grinder, electric teapot, dishes, pots and pans, cooking utensils, full-size refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, waffle maker and electric griddle. There is a gas grill outside. The bathroom is small and we provide soap, shampoo, conditioner and plenty of towels. Chairs and beach towels are provided. We have two paddle boards available during summer months for guests to use. A trail down to the water is shared with our neighbor and getting to our dock requires walking about 40 feet (partly on the neighbor's property) along the water from the end of the trail. There is parking in front of the house, which is accessed by a steep driveway. The washer and dryer are located in a small shed on the side of the house. We do not have a television at the cabin but we do have books, games, puzzles and a small Bluetooth speaker. There is wi-fi at the lake house, but the signal is unreliable at times due to heavy traffic in the summer and weather conditions in the winter. Cell phone coverage varies by provider and data access can be slower in the summer.
The lake is pretty quiet in the late fall, winter and spring, though there is a handful of people living there year-round. Things get busier in the summer months, when property owners and guests bring their boats and jet skis out for fun in the sun, especially on weekends. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, bird watching and fishing are also popular. The public boat launch, which provides the only public access to the lake, is located just a few minutes from the cabin and requires a Discovery Pass, which can be purchased locally. There is a small convenience store/gas station located across the lake that can be accessed via a 5 minute drive. It is recommended that groceries be purchased in Port Angeles before coming out to the lake.
  • When I booked this space, I thought if the views of the lake were anywhere close to the posted pictures I'd be happy. The pictures do not do the beauty of this lake justice. The lake is absolutely stunning and views from the deck are perfect!

The home is older and needs some updates, but it was very clean and Sara had some really nice touches. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Granny’s cafe is 5 min down the road and has great food.

  • Sara's house is cozy and comfy, stocked with all the stuff you need in a lake cabin: blankets, lots of dishes of any kind you'll need, a variety of furniture to lounge around in, and a bunch of board games to boot. When there was an unforeseen issue with our lodging, Sara's response was quick and responsive. She's done a lot of work to make this house a comfortable place to stay, and it shows. Thanks Sara!

Our vacation rental is located on ten secluded and wooded acres on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, surrounded by lakes, hiking trails, and gorgeous sunsets on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our guesthouse is named The Carriage House as it sits above a three-car garage. The rental has a full kitchen and bath, with a wood burning stove in the living area. It is a quiet, peaceful and great place to relax. Enjoy our quiet yet close location, listening to the wind in the trees, not traffic going by.
It's a charming, spacious (900 Sq. Ft.), quiet, and modern (stainless steel and granite throughout) guesthouse near the Olympic National Park that is the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stocked coffee and tea bar for your convenience. The bathroom is large and updated, along with a cozy bedroom and living area that includes a wood burning stove to keep you warm on those chilly winter nights! There is also a BBQ and fire pit area for your enjoyment. Children love to go on vacation too and we’re happy to accommodate them. Please contact us if the children are under two years old. When booking with small children, be aware that our accommodation is up a flight of stairs and children will need attention and assistance.
The Carriage House offers both a central location and easy access to the great things found on the Olympic peninsula and provides a private retreat from the bustle and noise of other visitors. After that busy day, it’s great to relax in our serene patch of woods. Yet, our little haven is near to the places you want to visit. We are located just 3 miles from Salt Creek Recreation and Crescent beach. It includes a children's play area, volleyball and great hiking trails. If you enjoy kayaking, we're just 15 minutes away from Crescent Lake and Lake Sutherland. If you’re a Twilight fan, it’s just an hour to Forks and La Push beach for a fun filled day! And don't forget the Sol Duc hot springs and Hurricane Ridge, along with Neah Bay, Cape Flattery, Ruby beach, and the Hoh rain forest and many more locations. A day in Victoria is just a short drive away to the Black Ball Ferry in Port Angeles. Don’t feel like cooking tonight, downtown Port Angeles has a wide selection of restaurants to choose from, from family friendly to the elegant. Find fresh local fish both in the restaurants and the local seafood market at the Port Angeles Marina. Of course, you can try catching it yourself at the many local beaches and streams.
  • Joyce and husband are just amazing. The house was much more than what we were hoping for and the fact that they built it themselves over the years added a homely feel. Great stay and you can't ask for more.

  • Absolutely the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! Beautiful inside and out, not one complaint! If we ever come back to this area we are staying here!

    Philip2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Joyce & Mike for the lovely stay. The Carriage House was far beyond our expectations, the space is huge, very clean, decorated tastefully and creatively. Joyce has thought of just about everything. The quality of furnishings, bedding, linens, coffee/tea bar...literally everything was exceptional. Their road winds up through the woods to a big, level graveled parking area, the gardens and poted plants were beautiful, everything Joyce and Mike have done here is outstanding. The space is almost a hundred feet from their home, very private and quiet. There are bird feeders that attract local birds. There were deer we could see from the kitchen window. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows divine, bathroom very roomy, big shower too. We would love to come back again. Best Airbnb we have stayed at by far.

  • Joyce and Mike provided a wonderful place to stay while we visited Olympic National Park. Their place is super comfortable with coffee and tea, warm blankets, and the cutest decor! It was also extremely clean. They really did think of all the little details when putting the Airbnb together. Also, their place is a great location when visiting sites like Hurricane Ridge, Lake Crescent, and even the west coast. I would recommend this place to anyone and definitely would stay again! • Great location if you are visiting any of the North Olympic Peninsula sites. Donette has a fun style and adds lots of special touches plus kitchen is well stocked! Thanks!

    Dina2020-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location, close to a grocery store and the main roads needed to get around the area. The house itself is adorable, and Donette really added a lot of of personal touches and care to putting it all together. It was clean and had everything we could ask for and more. Donette was really on top of communication and made it super easy to check in, and answer the few questions we had come up. 10/10, would definitely stay again!

    Colleen2020-04-26T00:00:00Z

    Jessica2020-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • There's so many positive things to write about this place. First thing that stood out was all the little things that made me feel welcomed and like a real guest. There was a personal note, a welcome basket of snacks, free coffee, tv with all the streaming options, and high supply of towels. There was also a binder full of suggestions of places to go, which I ended up using pretty often. All of them ended up being excellent suggestions. Also the location is great. 5min drive to the water and close to the main road to get to hurricane ridge or lake crescent. Literally right around the corner is a grocery store and awesome soup place. Lastly, Donette's communication was great. She was accommodating with the check in/check out times. She also sent plenty of information ahead of time so that there weren't any surprises. Looking forward to staying here again for sure.

  • Incredible, lovely place to stay with modern and stylish everything. Loved the coffee and snacks too. I don’t usually give 5 stars, but this place deserves it. I wanted to move in! Am so grateful for the great communication and welcoming message and atmosphere. Nice massaging shower head after a hike along the water or in the Olympics. The electric fireplace sealed the deal. ❤️❤️❤️

  • Loved staying at John and Rose’s place!

    Leyla2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • John and Rose were welcoming hosts. Enjoyed talking to them about their dogs and their life. Their house was a great location on my way to and from Neah Bay. Thank you!

    Moni Blazej2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • John and Rose were very warm and welcoming. Their place is clean and comfortable. The area is somewhat remote (about thirty minutes west of Port Angeles), but if you're looking for a quiet getaway with quick access to the Olympic National Park, this place is great!

    Koji2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • John and Rose gave us a really warm welcome and we had a great stay there. The bed was really comfortable and they offered a varied breakfast. The location was perfect to visit the Olympic Nationalpark.

    Patrick2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We have a very good time in John and Rose' home. They are a very loving couple, and let us feel very worm all the time. Their kitchen is well equipped and plenty of food for breakfast. Recommended, very good place to stay.

    Melissa2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Rose & John genuinely have hearts of gold. They were extremely accommodating, gave us lots of great info about the area, and really go the extra mile to make guests feel welcomed and taken care of. The continental breakfast had a wide selection and included coffee. No cell coverage, but great wifi. We were able to stream videos in the evening. It really feels like you're heading home after a long day. We stayed here to get to Olympic National Park and were pleasantly surprised at how central the location was given the expansiveness of the park. 1 hour to Hurricane Ridge, and 30-40 mins to Lake Crescent. I'd abolsutely recommend this place!

    Sophie2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great, slightly secluded place on the northern peninsula. Owners are very sweet people, and were extremely accommodating for a late night check in. Also, lovely and delicious continental breakfast in the morning. As everyone else has noted, great homemade blackberry jam :) Definitely recommend this spot if you're looking to stay near Port Angeles, but in a slightly quieter area. And for any other adventures you're looking for on the peninsula! Thanks for hosting us :)

  • The campsite was just as advertised and was great value for how well kept the amenities were. The hosts were very helpful and prompt.

    Lydia2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved staying here because I woke up in a beautiful meadow on misty mountains. The value is amazing, there was no one around and we pitched our tent. Might be less enjoyable if all of the camp spaces were full, but because they weren’t we lucked out. Cute farm animals and diner right on the land too. Super great for camping in the fall to hike around the Olympics near Sol Duc and Lake Crescent

    Edward2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Scenic, pack accordingly the peninsula can get chilly. Such a beautiful place. The yurt was well kept and everything was clean. Will go back most definitely.

  • No frills camping. Tent 4 was great for 3 adults. Hot water showers were a plus. Great location!

    Melanie2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The bed was very comfortable, there is nothing better than sleeping in the woods of Washington with fresh morning air! This is a lovely campground with some amazing hiking spots just outside the tent! If you bring food with you beware of raccoons! We met a stout raccoon who appears to take advantage of campers often and walked right up to us. Always think about your surroundings and have an amazing time exploring the endless trails!

    Anna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic "secret" campground! Everything was thought of. Nice beds in tents. Lights and electricity inside the tent, even a small electric lantern outside the tent that I imagine we could have used in lieu of a flashlight to go to the bathroom (which was like a regular bathroom.. just in the forest). I recommend bringing things to cook on the grill... or a pizza for the pizza oven. I week definitely come back!

    Bjorn2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great landing pad for the value. It rained for most of our stay and the tent stayed completely dry from outside rain (there is always ambient dampness, nothing to be done about that--it's a rainforest). I was pleased to find a tea kettle ready to go to make myself a warm drink, and the location was perfect for exploring the Olympic Peninsula--about 45-60 minutes in any direction to the major highlights and right near the Hot Springs, which was very nice on a rainy day. I would stay there again.

    Lisa2019-09-19T00:00:00Z

Check in was super straight forward and we really loved the space, its cozy and tidy and has all the amenities for cooking a nice meal or grilling out on the deck. We didn't get to use the kayaks because it was rainy but next time I will definitely take advantage of that feature!

  • We had a wonderful stay on the lake! I am so thankful I read the reviews of the property before getting there, so that we were prepared for the intimate sharing of outdoor space with our neighbors. Would recommend bringing an extra cooler for food and drink and plenty of extra ice in case your neighbors arrive before you (and use the extra food storage space). We were very lucky to have wonderful guests renting the other half of the duplex, and even shared a couple of campfires together! The space is very clean, the kitchen is very well stocked, and the setting of the property is spectacularly beautiful! This was a great home base for exploring Olympic National Park and we would love to stay again. Next time we would probably rent both units of the duplex and come with friends!

  • Beautiful setting. Small space, but perfect for a couple's weekend away from the city (which is exactly what we were trying to do). Access to the lake is easy and kayaks are available and in decent shape. Hot tub is such a gift after a long hike! I felt far away from everything and the stars at night were spectacular. Communication with the host was always prompt, clear, and professional. Bed was super comfy. Would definitely come back!

This Island built Tiny Cabin is located next to East Sooke Park and was purpose built as a vacation rental, positioned at the edge of the forest with glimpses of the Olympic Mountains and Juan de Fuca Straight. The Tiny Cabin sits adjacent to a popular vacation rental, "The Cabin: A Sooke Ocean View Mountain View Acreage", and can be rented in addition to The Cabin or as a separate booking. The main space is 350sq.ft. with a queen bedroom, a queen by laddered loft & twin beds by laddered loft.
This beautiful Tiny Cabin has all the comforts of home including a dining/TV area that seats 6 people, breakfast bar, a kitchen with a 2 burner induction cook-top, convection oven, crock pot, blender, coffee maker, microwave, ice cream maker and small apartment fridge. The main floor has a queen bedroom and full bathroom with shower (real plumbing) and 2 loft bedrooms with a queen bed in 1 and 2 twins in the other. All the beds are made with high quality memory foam mattresses and linens for optimal comfort. We suggest that although the tiny home can sleep 6 it is designed for 4 adults and 2 children. You will share in the peace and tranquility of natures doorstep with an outdoor BBQ, large hot tub, outdoor patio seating for 6 and chimnea fireplace just outside the Tiny Cabin. After a fire and BBQ inside you can enjoy a DVD movie or cable T.V or Netflix. Finish yourself off with a hot tub before falling asleep to the sound of the ocean wind whirling through the trees and the waves hitting the beach in the distance. There is even a second story rooftop viewing deck! ***OPEN IN SUMMER ONLY*** Tips for tiny home living: PACK LIGHT: Backpacks that can be hung from the many hooks are best. FOOD AND KITCHEN: Although the kitchen is well stocked and set up we think its best to bring easy to prepare or simple meals that are easily reheated. Use the open window for cooking ventilation. Take advantage of the BBQ and the crock pot. Bald Eagles, deer, bunnies, grouse, bears, hawks, hummingbirds, turkey vultures, orca's, grey whales, owls, raccoons, cougars, otters, every kind of bird you can imagine and whale watching are all very likely to be included.

  • Jamie’s tiny cabin is a new little cozy space in the woods surrounded by beautiful trees and the beach nearby. The power was unfortunately out when we stayed due to weather, but Jamie was awesome in meeting us at the cabin and got us all set up with tea light candles, headlamps and a power bar run by a small generator. It was an unexpected ‘glamping’ experience but we still made the best of it. Jamie was a great communicator and was available to help us out if we needed.

This spot is off the grid with a big woodstove for cooking, heat and generator for power. This secluded location is central to the activities most cherished on the North Olympic Peninsula (NOP) to include hiking, camping, salt and freshwater fishing, surfing, and enjoyment of a pristine river valley permanently protected by conservation agreement.
Solitude is beneficial and during the coronavirus pandemic it will provide an essential benefit. Nestled on the north coast of the Olympic Peninsula, in a wilderness valley with lush forest and park like meadows, the pristine East Twin River rushes by a special place. In addition to modern, comfortable living, feel the good energy hiking the river through sublime valley scenery on ancient trails and deer paths. This area has some of the cleanest air on the planet. The location of this timber lodge is basically an 18 acre camp site that has over a 1/4 mile of wild river frontage. The private place is central to all the cool destinations the North Olympic Peninsula has to offer. It's also a short 1/4 mile walk to the beaches on the Strait of Jaun de Fuca where surfing, crabbing, beach combing, kayak whatever and fishing can be enjoyed. The NOP offers a "where do ya start?" list of trails and hikes to do. The place is off-grid, about 26 miles West of Port Angeles, WA, on Hwy 112 and then 1/4 mile south on the Bear Creek-West Twin Rd. (Forest Service Rd. 30) to Pangea Trail Rd. The Joyce General Store has good stuff; gas, food, laundry facility, etc. and is located right in downtown Joyce and just 10 miles East of property (on Hwy 112). The space is a timber lodge, essentially open and well lit with windows up to a cathederal celing with a peak at 26', kitchen downstairs and bathroom and shower upstairs. Beams, columns, and logs support the engineered loft style 2nd floor that looks up the river. Acoustics are incredible. Heat and cook with wood stove, light by oil lamp and generator for electricity, lights and Direct TV/DVD, Hot water by Instant Hot (propane). Full shower/bathroom, small (propane) fridge, and a outdoor barbeque (propane) grill. You will find what you would find in a normal home - but it is way off the grid and very private in an enclosed valley with one access road. Step back a hundred years. There's no on-line connection out there, thank you very much. Build a bonfire in the one of a half dozen campfire pits if ya want! This private camp site is OK for cooking fires regardless of burn ban. Your pets are more than OK - they will love it! The property was placed in a Conservation Easement Agreement through the North Olympic Land Trust (NOLT) in 2005. This is a pristene river wilderness and can never be developed (or really anything else within eye site) in perpetuity. Very cool, thank you very much. Summer time means drought conditions so you must conserve the water. There are shelves of 400+ non-fiction books that include the best from ancient history to our founding fathers and heroes on land and seas, environmental conservation, Washington maps and outdoor guides, and of course carpentry, construction and cabins. If ya want to fish, rubber boots and hip waders, and even a level wind are there to enjoy. Bring your favorite candle or incense or take a hot shower after Hobit hiking the wilderness terrain and blazing trails along the river. There are plenty of easy trails but my favorite is a real leg burner. "Leg Burner" is a short cut to the beaches located on the north side of Hwy 112. The Twin beaches at the Strait Of Juan de Fuca are a popular surfing destination. There's lots to do at the beaches so head over and surf or hike as far as ya want to find cool stuff - or check yer email as cell phones work fine there. Surfers tell me the Twin is becoming a real popular surf destination. Small and large river rock campsites are numerous in this secluded river valley that has more than a 1/4 mile of trails along the low river bank. Plenty of firewood is available. Groups to 150+ can camp and enjoy the outdoors for parties, reunions, or musical concerts. This place is for conservationist, lovers of outdoors and nature. You don't have to be conservation minded to enjoy this place but understand that like any development, guns and pesticides are not allowed - nor needed. And a new day will dawn for those who stand long and the forest will echo with laughter. Have a wonderful stay and enjoy the outdoors. IT IS REQUIRED YOU PRINT AND READ THE HOUSE ACCESS MANUAL BEFORE ARRIVING. Every complaint from any guest was because they did not read the House Access Manual! REPEAT. Dave Morse Edmonds, WA Go Figure
A few people live around the area. There are a lot of critters and animals of all kinds. Little mice come and get caught and comeback someday and get caught. Don't say the kitchen or bathroom is not clean because there is a few mouse poops. You can't just snap your fingers and get rid of mice. They will be caught and killed. I have a Bat crew that comes in at night to eat bugs, thank you very much. Bat poop is similar to mouse poop and you just need to clean it up like mouse poop. Do not harm the bats. Poisons and pesticides are not allowed on this property.
  • The place is fantastic and beautifully made. The location is remote and offers complete serenity. I highly suggest you do some pre trip research on wood stove usage if you don’t have experience with them.

    George2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • David's spot is awesome! As noted, it's off the grid, so heat (mostly) and cooking (again, mostly) are somewhat dependent on the wood burning stove. Location is amazing - close-ish to amenities but peaceful and private. We took day trips to the Olympic National Park and the coastline (Ruby beach!). Stay was great; we very well may try to come back in the summer! Thanks so much, David!

    Jeremy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • David was thorough and quick to respond. The cabin is well off of the beaten path, but easy to find and use with his directions. This is the perfect log cabin getaway from hectic life, and provides excellent access both to town and to the hiking around the coast and Lake Crescent.

    Chris2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • David's place was the perfect getaway. It is close to mountain and ocean hikes. Being off the grid made it perfect. The place was beautiful with a view of the creek. We hope to come back again.

  • We had a blast at David's off the grid cabin. Super cozy and we thought it was nicer than the photos! Highly recommended for some peace and quiet

  • If you're looking for a real cabin experience then this is it. The wood stove, crafted furniture and architecture were pretty cool. Ample firewood, warm and cozy.

    Angela2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the place. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. Quiet and serene and beautiful. David’s place is off grid and exactly what I was hoping for. It was beautiful and well stocked with extras like clothes, sleeping bags, kitchen supplies etc The books and games were fun entertainment by oil lamps at night. Thank you so much David for sharing your wonderful slice of the world with us!!

  • Amazing place, truly exceptional stay. A perfect blend of amenities and rustic cabin. The views were superb. We hope to get the opportunity to visit again. Tim & Rachael did great at providing a “no” contact break during quarantine.

    Trent2020-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this little oasis! Amazing views of the water and stunning sunsets. Fall asleep to the sound of waves each night. Tim and Rachael were excellent hosts. We needed more kerosene for one of the lanterns and Rachel came by with it almost immediately. They were very prompt to respond. Tim also offered us suggestions for secluded walks to take that likely weren’t closed due to the covid outbreak. The cabin is definitely rustic but we loved it for that reason. Our only concerns were that the bed was softer and a little saggy, the shower was very small and never got warm, and the propane stove heated the place very well but made a lot of clicking noises that actually woke us up frequently throughout the night. We tried to turn it down the last night but still it turned on a couple of times which woke us up. All in all, a great place with just a couple small issues. Earplugs would have solved the stove problem.

  • The Barnacle Hill cabin was spectacular. Exactly what my fiancé and I needed for a disconnected getaway. No electricity but using the lamps and stove was very easy. Just a fun way to slow life down. So close to everything in ONP. We loved it. 10/10 will return.

  • Nice and affordable place. My wife, my daughter and I stayed for a weekend. nice place but the toilet is a bit too short and small. do not recommend if you or someone on your party is on the larger side ;-) Overall it was great though! We would definitely stay at their place again.

    David2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hey, this was an amazing stay for our family off the beaten path but still close to town. Ross and Rae did a great job with the amenities, with the sparkling cleanliness, and with the carefree spirit overall for the RV space. We had the run of the backyard, with sitting area, fire pit, and a herd of curious deer in the mornings. We traveled easily between Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge, and Sol Duc Hot Springs. All were within easy reach of our RV Retreat. Slept really well and comfortably, all five of us.

    Kevin2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a wonderful place to stay! I love it very much. Very peaceful, love the apple tree and the deers. We will definitely come back.

    Patricia2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Ross and Rae are excellent communicators. Expect exactly what they advertise: a cozy stay in a cozy RV. My boyfriend and I loved it. They even added some cute touches to make the evening extra special. The only drawback is a lack of hot water in the RV, so we had to take our showers in their house. If you don't mind that slightly awkward interaction, it's perfect for a getaway. We especially liked the backyard aesthetic -- apple trees, a hammock, fire pit... paradise.

    Nolan2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Thank Ross & Rae very much for hosting us. The whole experience is much better than we expected. The RV has everything we needed. The furnitures and decoration are fantastic. We could see deers every morning out of our windows. They also provided tide time book, two bicycles free to use, a small pot of fresh berries in the refrigerator, etc. They replied all our questions very promptly. We highly recommend Ross & Rae's RV to all other guests.

We all watch out for one another and help each other from time to time. We raise hair sheep (they shed their wool naturally in the spring) We raise dairy goats too as well as chickens and a couple of ducks to keep the slugs down. We try to grow our own organic vegetables and fruits, we are always learning new things.

  • Staying in the treehouse was absolutely magical. Feeding the goats and sheep, meeting the cat and corgis, and the wonderful storytelling we’re the highlights of our stay. We will be back for sure!

  • We really enjoyed our stay in the treehouse and the chance to visit the farm animals and corgis. It was the perfect spot for our visit to Olympic National Park. We had a good time chatting with Adrienne & Jim, and they were very accommodating. We will stay again if we travel to the area.
