Liyan's place is very accessible via Japan's main line of transport, the Yamanote line. Since it was my first time in Tokyo, I needed a place that I could easily remember after running around the city, and thank God, I chose the right one. The room is clean and has enough space for one person. The airconditioning and the shared shower work well, the bed is very comfortable, the lighting is good, there are a lot of sockets, and basic amenities are available. Be very cautious with moving around, since noises from other rooms can be easily heard. What I am not so sure of is the security, since the building is quite open and it was very easy to check in and out. Nonetheless, I slept soundly and overall, it was a pretty good stay! :)

This is a shared room in a 3-bedroom apartment. Honestly speaking, I feel that the place is overrated and overpriced! The actual room is much much smaller than it appears in the photo. With the same budget, I've seen much better in Tokyo! Also, it's in a building right above a Chinese restaurant which opens till late. Unfortunately the restaurant has poor ventilation and the odor of Chinese cooking diffused all the way into this room as soon as I opened the bedroom window to get some fresh air. :( Beware that there's no elevator in the building leading up to this apartment - you'll have to duck through the low ceiling and toil up the narrow stairways which can get very inconvenient especially if you're carrying a large luggage with you. The hygiene in the shared area was poor- the kitchen sink was covered in grease and rotten cooking residues. The room wasn't sound-proof; you could easily hear other guests talking or walking in their rooms so I wouldn't recommend this room if you need privacy. The bed is a bit tight if you're traveling as a party of 2 - it's a tatami-styled springbox with sinkage here and there. The apartment is located in a residential neighborhood with 3-min walk from Tokyo's Komagome station(covered by JR) which together with the 24-hour check-in policy might be the biggest draw of this place. I only stayed there for 1 night - can't say how safe the neighborhood is but it was worth noting that I ran into a drunkard peeing by the entrance of the building that evening when I returned from central Tokyo around 9pm, which was pretty frightening to a traveler who was new to the city.

The location is very good. We (stupidly) didn't realise that it was a shared apartment so were very surprised when another guest showed up, but the hosts explained everything for us.

Liyan is very helpful and will assist you with navigating to the rental. The location is wonderful -- a lovely area right near public transportation. The bed is a bit small for 2 people but you can make it work!

We really enjoyed the apartment. It was clen, located in quiet area, but with good connection to other parts of tokyo (10 min to station). The public bath (santo) is an amazing experience, I regret not having something like that in my home city :) Also host was really nice and helpfull with perfect english :) She sent us detailed info on how to get to the apartment and was quick to reply to our messages on airbnb. Recommended!!!

This is the place you want if you're looking for an authentic and top notch stay. The house is beautifullyrenovated and clean, the staff really kind and friendly, it's near basically every major spot in Tokyo. When i said authentic, i was referring for the wonderful Sento (access included in your stay) you'll be using everyday. The hot water is naturally rich in minerals so after a good day, you'll clean yourself and really enjoy a traditional warm bath. The staff is amazing. You'll be receive like friend and family. Be sure to feel at home and at ease. Simply, the perfect stay.

This place is an absolute treasure! While it's in a quieter area, the room is culturally traditional and very comfortable, great wifi and laundromat just on the corner of the block. The futon mattresses are the most comfortable beds we've EVER slept on and we tried hard to figure out how to get some for ourselves to bring home. Bath house is a real treat and the hosts are super nice. Don't hesitate - BOOK NOW!

Although the distance from the station a little distance, but the landlord is very good, English is not good Japanese can communicate! Komagome has lots of nice food and restaurant along the way home. Easy to find, cosy and convenient though have to walk for 15mins. Experienced the public bath and it's great during cold weather. Will definitely be back and it's highly recommended.

I finally found out where I can stay with my dog. The host is very kind and I like dogs. I was saved a lot because I prepared a lot of dog supplies. If you are looking for an accommodation that can stay with pets in Tokyo, please do not hesitate.

The first location was good too. It was soon able to walk to the station and easy to use restaurant or convenience store in the immediate vicinity of the shopping center. And the hostel is good, near to quiet. Second, the hostel was clean inside. However, floor heating (ondol) is not come as a bit cold in Korea. Opinion divided: Clean and located in a good place BUT the owner told us to send her a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map before coming to her flat...a little bit weird I could say.Moreover, the pictures of the outside has no point at all with the place...The room is about 6m square which could be a big room for Chinese people but not for regular people, no windows...and at the end the best is that some people came and ask her for Sarah about massages...I could say "massage boum boum" regarded to their faces ??? So experimenting Chinese living in Tokyo downtown could be fun if you like it

Funny story: we actually ran into Midori at the train station on our way to check in and my goodness she was absolutely lovely and so kind. She assisted us with our luggage and showed us all the shops around on the way there. This place was the most convenient especially if you've got a JR Pass because it's located next to a JR station and you could easily get to all the main areas with a JR pass so easily. The apartment was absolutely perfect. Exactly what you see in photos and also very clean and kept in great condition. Midori was a great host and replied to all our messages very quickly which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place because there was lots of food very close by to the apartment, and the supermarket and drug store were all within 3min walking distance from the apartment. I would definitely come back here if I'm back in Tokyo and seriously such great value for money. Absolutely loved it!!!!

I'm really impressed with this place. It's nice and clean (just like in the photos!). Great and thoughtful facilities. The location is surrounded by lovely and convenient neighborhood. Hiro's apartment is located in a very convenient area. We can access to almost everything we need from 7/11, supermarkets, restaurants etc. moreover, his apartment is just 4 mins walk away from a Yamanote Line allowing us to access to many sightseeing places. We would definitely recommend Hiro's place for your stay in Tokyo.

There was only one aircon in one room, and another humidifier (time limit of every 3 hours and will auto shut down) in another room. It was stuffy during summer as one aircon is not enough to circulate around entire apartment. However, Hiro san was very responsive and helpful towards our enquiries before and during the trip. Near to komagome JR station, roughly 8 mins walk. However only accesible by stairs through the east exit. If by the lift option, you'll have to walk a longer route on uphill. Lots of restaurants, 100 yen shops, and convenience stores around the area.

Great apartment. The biggest we stayed in in Japan. We were here with 3 children and 2 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. An easy walk to Komagome station which can get you to lots of places very quickly. Lots of restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacy near by. We had a great stay.

I stayed a week at Liyan's house and I am very satisfied with my stay. The room is located literally 4 minutes from Komagome Station, which is on the JR Yamanote line, which in turn is Tokyo's circle line. This means that you can access anything you want in Tokyo by subway easily. The room is one of three in an apartment, so be ready to share toilet, kitchen and shower with two other guests. The room is pretty small, but I have seen worse so this was good in my opinion. There are several supermarkets minutes away and some chain restaurants, however, I would recommend going to neighboring Sugamo for dinner as there are cheaper and tastier places to eat. 5/5.

I think if you have the right expectations, that this is a bare-bones, no-frills place to stay, then you will be fine with the experience. The location is convenient since it is on the JR Yamanote loop and thus gives you relatively easy access to the central parts of Tokyo and the major transportation hubs. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores in the area. Liyan was prompt in her communication. The pre-check-in procedures were a little more extensive than other places but provided very detailed instructions to help you find the place with ease. Expect thin walls where you can hear your neighbor's movements, though my neighbors all seemed to respect the quiet hour rules and I didn't hear them talking or making much noise at night. The common area is mostly clean, though the kitchen sink does have some stains. I thought overall it was a good place to stay for a low price if you are just one person staying for a night or two.

Because it is in close location from the center of Tokyo, we were able to spend a very comfortable! The room is small, but does not so cramped feeling if one person. Since the private room is also take a key, you can keep your luggage. Since the walls are thin, we have used careful not to make a sound. But, the noise did not even worried about so much because it was also quiet people around. Since the amenities such as towels and cups is not, you need to bring. Since people who the owner is used in English, in exchange of the message was to use English. If you have a chance, you want to use!

The property is located close to a train station in a less touristy area of Tokyo. There are numerous restaurants nearby. The property is modern and as pictured. It was a little tight for the 9 guests that we had however for a family of 5 would be comfortable.

The house was really nice and cozy, I would recommended to other guests. The restaurants around the area were very friendly. It was conveniently located near a JR station for those who have the JR Pass. The only draw back is that the portable WiFi that he provides you is very slow (2G speeds) which made everything time out. It would take like a minute to load GPS directions, I'm glad my wireless carrier was able to provide me with internet.

Eri's hostel is a simple and stylish place. The distance to jr station is acceptable and is near if u take metro. Once u enter the home, good cleaning is noted even the host has busy business. The dining room is not big but enough with an open kitchen. The bed room is large and great with very cozy bedding. However, feel a bit itching with the dry air in japan. It include most necessity u need to live at home, include slipper. But I suggest to bring Ur own slipper if u expect slipper with more soft material. The host is sweet to give us nice reminder before check in out and change the bill for us when my brother is not free to come. The most thing I admire is the immediate reply of the host. He/she would reply u within 15 mins after u ask. Even we guess lost in jr station and has no direction which exit to go. In a word, the cp value is high and the place is very cozy to let u has nice stay in toyko.

The apartment is located very near the JR station on the popular yamatote line which links to most of the tourist spots. Questions of when accommodation was under .. reassure contact immediately answer. Close from the train station, it recommends listing because convenience is also good. Beds are big, there is also a washing machine, I was able to spend comfortably.

A really great location that's on the convenient Yamanote Line, with lots of shops nearby (restaurants, bars, conbini, laundromat, supermarket). only things I'm not too happy about is the amazingly slow speed of the WiFi provided and the not so comfortable beds/sofa bed. otherwise its pretty decent with basic amenities.

Apartment location good if you want to be in Komagone. Close to Yamonite train line. Only negative points are the beds not too comfortable and the smell of cigarette smoke.

It's a straightforward and short walk from JR/Metro Komagome Station and I really appreciated having the convenient Yamanote Line nearly at our doorstep, as wel as numerous eateries and convenience stores. I think it would be hard to beat its location on the Yamanote Line between Ikebukuro and Ueno. Even so, the neighbourhood is pleasantly calm and quiet. It's very comfortable for a group of 3 to stay here, or perhaps a close group of 4! Our landlady was great too - she never fails to respond really quickly.

We had a great time in Japan specially Tokyo! and Natsukis apartment was a bonus! If you want to travel around Tokyo, this place is perfect! The JR line train is perfectly connected to the popular spots in Tokyo! There's shops, restaurants near the apartment and to go to the closest station is under 5mins walk! We went winter and thought we gonna freeze if the apartment was crap but it's cozy and lovely no problem for us at all! The size of it is probably just fine with 3 peeps staying We sure will try to get her place again if we visit Tokyo in the future, that good :D

Natsuki is friendly and very responsive to our request. The room is clean and decent. The area is close to the nearest JR line which is about 5 min walk and conveniently this line can bring you to all the popular areas (shinjinku, shibuyua , harajuku etc). There is a 24 hours restaurant once you exit from the station. You can grab your breakfast or supper if you are feeling hungry! We thank you Natsuki for hosting us :)

Room spacious and comfortable but tall people are frustrated and hasilsu closed while the power key in the key box when departure is otherwise often recommend a 24-hour restaurant nearby and takes only three minutes Margo Tome Station

The apartment is very spacious. Airte conditioning in all rooms. It is opposite the metro line direct to all tourist stops and easy access round. The only problem we had and it was not a serious problem is that the wifi was not going very well. Overall the stay has been fantastic. On departure day put us we had to leave the floor at 12 and came at 11, but not supposed problem as we were going at that time of the room. I recommend the apartment. thanks for everything.

I highly recommend this apartment. We were are a family of 4 adults who stayed in Tokyo for 7 days. We truly had a convenient stay. First of all, it has a great location. From Narita Airport Terminal 2, we traveled for around 70 minutes by train to Nippori station of the Keisei Main line. Then we changed to the Yamanote line where we went down at Komagome station. The apartment is conveniently across (take the North exit). Food places are nearby including convenience stores (Lawson is beside, Family Mart is 3 minutes away), KFC, Baskin Robbins, and McDonald's. A local food place called Matsuya serving cheap rice bowl is also across the street. This apartment is at the 9th floor. There's an elevator. The glass entrance door of the building was only open until 10pm. You may enter through the side door in case you arrive later than 10pm so make sure to bring your keys. The apartment has two bedrooms. The first room has more space than the other (where you can keep the luggage in the huge closet). Both rooms have comfortable and clean bed, pillows, and sheets. It was generally quiet at night except that once in a while we heard the train and some crows but not a problem at all. There were 3 air-conditioning units but since it was already cold in Tokyo at that time, we didn't switch them on. The kitchen was very useful for us. We were able to use the microwave, stove, and rice cooker very well. It had basic utensils (spoon, fork, chopsticks, bread knife), chopping board, kitchen scissors, frying and boiling pan, etc. There's a small TV on the kitchen table but it only had channels in Japanese. The toilet bowl is separate from the bathroom. No bidet but tissue roll was provided. The bath tub is small but hot water worked well. There was also washing machine. Bath towels were all clean. Getting the pocket wifi's password was quite a challenge. Good thing that when we arrived, the cleaning guy was still there and he gladly helped us figure out the password. The internet connection was so fast in the apartment and across Tokyo. But in case you'll be out the entire day using the pocket wifi, you need to recharge it so bring power bank or charge it somewhere. I'll definitely stay here again once I go back to Tokyo. The host Hiroyuki answered my queries right away. When I asked things about traveling around Tokyo, he tried his best to help me.

Location is great. Just across the station with restaurants and convenient stores close by. Instructions given were clear but make sure you refer to the email with photo instructions he will send you. I was just referring to his instructions given thru Airbnb and totally missed the key box by the bike racks when arriving pass 10pm co'z this part was only specified in the email. Our flight was delayed and data on my phone was slow so I didn't get to open my email while we were trying to get in the building. It's a highly recommended place to stay.

We found ourselves very well in this appartamento.ottima position, opposite the bus komagone the jr line yamanote. A very nice tiny apartment just next to the JR station (if you are a JR pass holder you will get to this apartment for free). We had a nice time in 4 with 2 little kids. Everything was just as we expected. The view from the 9th floor is nice but what is the best is its localization. 2min walk from the station. I recomend this host and his apartment.

This apartment is right opposite Komagome station with a Lawson convenience store and a few restaurants next to it. McDonald is only 50m away. A very convenient location if you are going to travel via the Yamanote Line. The apartment is big enough for 5 people to stay with 2 double bed size futons and 1 sofa bed. There is a washing machine in the apartment. But unfortunately during my visit, the washing detergent and toilet paper ran out. As Ando was a bit hard to reach, so ended up I had to buy my own washing detergent and toilet paper. My overall experience was good and I recommend this apartment.

The apartment was very conveniently located, right in front of Komagome station. The area itself was very nice, with a nice bakery right in front of it and lovely gardens just a block away. The apartment was easy to find and we had no problems checking in or out. Overall we had a great time and recommend this apartment.

It is very comfortable flat: - tatami room (great for toddlers) - pocket wifi - washing machine - separate air conditional for two rooms - elevator (very important if you use baby stroller) Transport: - just opposite JR and subway station (1-2 minutes) Neighborhood - Lawson nearby - 2 bakery - lots of small restaurants and shops on the opposite exit of JR - great Park nearby - two supermarkets (10 minutes) I wish to have answers from Ando faster. Next time we will seek possibility to stay there.

The house is very nice. It is very comfortable and close to Rikugien which is very nice and very comfortable.

The location was okay It was a little far from the subway station, but it was enough to walk. Yom: It was a rural neighborhood feeling. It was quiet, but there was a drug store, a supermarket to dawn, and Lawson. The room was a little narrower than I expected. I had two beds and I stayed for a week. Of course we could rent one more at 100 yen! Oh, but I did not have a place to be able to do it because of the simplicity of the laundry, I got a lot of moisture and a lot of feelings, but it was okay for the price!

There are several rooms in one room and it is shared with toilet, shower room and living room. Sometimes we meet other guests in morning and evening. It is forbidden to have a separate party for the sake of quiet, but it was fun to meet some people from other countries and share some simple stories. The hostel was very clean and quiet, and the traffic was convenient and I enjoyed my stay for 4 nights and 5 days.

Had a great stay! The house is not far from a station that is part of the JR Yamanote Line which goes through all the central parts of Tokyo

This is a location with the most important things: beds, bathrooms and a kitchen. You won't get in contact with your host, if you not ask for it. You have your own room. The bed was good. The walls are really really thin. I never heard so much of my neighbors before. Wlan was fast. The location is like a hostel with a private room.

Nice place: bathrooms, toilets, kitchen. Really proper. easily reachable (train + metro station closeby). Young was not always present but really reachable by mail if we needed something. The only weak point was the thin wall between rooms. We had a nice stay at StartOne home.

Very nice place and true to listing description. Young in was very helpful about our inquiries. But there was weird humid smell after we left the room for the day and came back on both period of our stays. not sure what that smell was about. We had a great stay, will definitely recommend.

The communication with the hosts was really good, they were kind and helpful. The location is quite good, close to a station, and not too far from the center.
