We have reopened with a motif of the famous local peach blossom, "Hanamomo"! ★ Good access to major tourist attractions ★ You can travel to Nikko in the north and central Tokyo in the south in about an hour. Recommended for guests who want to relax and visit tourist spots for a week before returning home. ★ A quiet and safe city with lots of greenery ★ A safe town with many people who have lived there a long time. Parks, supermarkets, and restaurants are nearby, making it convenient for long-term stays. There are lots of fields and the fresh vegetables are delicious! ★ Historic town ★ You can enjoy historic buildings and streets within walking distance. I recommend the only seal engraving museum in Japan, the literary memorial hall, and the castle ruins. I was born at the foot of Mt. Fuji and came to this city to raise my children. I can show you a wide range of tourist attractions and I live nearby, so I can help you. Part of the proceeds will be used to fund Japanese volunteer activities for foreigners.

This is an old house-style building located just off the Nikko Kaido. Close to Tobu Shim-Imaichi Station, you might even hear the steam whistle of the Taiki if you're lucky in the evening. 8-tatami Japanese-style room (bamboo room), 6-tatami Japanese-style room (temple style), 8-tatami living room (retro style) IH kitchen, microwave, toaster, rice cooker, fridge, washing machine, gas dryer, etc. are fully equipped, so you can use this place as a base for sightseeing in Nikko, Kinugawa, Ashio, and Kuriyama. There is also a parking lot, making it ideal for touring with fellow bikers. Breakfast is a free loaf of freshly baked bread (home bakery). Mountain Biking, Calligraphy, Games, BBQ (The usage fee for charcoal is 2,000 yen per use. Dishes are available for rent, so please prepare your ingredients at a nearby supermarket.) Advance reservation is required. In the evening, I also run a tavern next door, so you can enjoy delicious food and drinks.

Richard Flavin's "Washi House", Saitama Pref.

Welcome to Richard Flavin's Washi House! Richard Flavin (1943–2020) was a Japanese paper artist originally from the US. He studied design in Boston and came to Japan in 1970. He later studied woodblock printing and developed a deep interest in the production of washi. He also cultivated the raw material for washi paper, paper mulberry. We invite those interested in washi paper and art to stay overnight and enjoy this space, reminiscent of a washi paper museum, including these unfinished areas.

We have a spacious parking space for 3 cars, and are well-equipped and easy to use.
