We turned an old stable into an apartment. We tried to preserve the atmosphere of the place. The flat is located in the courtyard of a renovated old farm where we are living ourselves (parents and 2 children). The area is called the Wagram, 3 km away from the Danube and around 50 km away from the center of Vienna. Animals are also part of the family; two horses, one cat and some chicken with whom you are welcome to interact. However, they are not allowed in the flat :-)
The apartment is fully self contained, but you can of course enjoy the garden and visit our horses at the back of the property.
Winkl is a rural village - 15 minutes by car from Tulln and Krems. Not far from the scenic Wachau and in the middle of the wine region of Wagram, we live close to the Danube. The region has a lot to offer - for bikers, friends of outstanding wine served directly at winemakers‘ family restaurants, and those who look for a quiet spot nearby Vienna.

  • Chris and his accommodation really did not leave anything to be desired. The house is in a quiet area with a rural feel, pleasantly secluded, but still with good transport links. The accommodation is spacious, very well equipped, sparkling clean and absolutely beautiful! Even better than the accommodation was the always helpful and trusting hosts. Chris has made my stay in Atzenbrugg (or in St. Pölten and Vienna) with his relaxed, generous and incredibly hospitable way to a more than pleasant holiday trip. I'm just happy to have had such a great host!

Für Gartenliebhaber empfehlen wir die Garten Tulln zu besuchen. Jährlich tummeln sich viele Besucher bei den zahlreichen Messen in Tulln.
    Vom großzügigen Vorraum kommen Sie in das Badezimmer mit Dusche und getrennter Toilette. Weiter geht es über die Küche mit Essplatz ins kuschelige Wohnzimmer. Nebenan gelangen sie in das geräumige Schlafzimmer mit ca. 25 qm. Es stehen insgesamt Schlafmöglichkeiten für bis zu 6 Personen zur Verfügung. Im Wohnzimmer befindet sich eine Schlafcouch für 2 Personen. Im großzügigen Schlafzimmer steht ein Boxspringbett (1,80mx2,00m) und ein Stockbett.
    Einen sehr ruhiger kleiner Ort neben Tulln.

    At approximately 995 m2, this charming log cabin is approx 35m2 with gas boiler / WC / shower and a fully equipped kitchen with oven and refrigerator. Cutlery, dishes, pans, radio, coffee maker, towels, 2 persons down, 4 upstairs. A small TV and an Xbox360 and a SAT antenna now allows access to content such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, Youtube, Twitch, Skygo, RedBullTV, NBA, NFL, OneDrive. There is a small renovated wine celar with 7 different wines from Gernot Reisenthaler to choose.
    You have access to the complete garden in the amount of approximately 1000 m2 and log cabin incl. attic. There is a tripod for grilling , beer benches , sufficient wood , sun loungers , a parasol , several folding chairs and more. All windows have mosquito nets. You will find several seating and climbing opportunities. One can off the evening winding down in a tree house, or enjoy a glass of wine on the mound or leave on the terrace off the evening comfortably, countless adventures await you. The cabin is located about 3.2 km from the "Tullnerfeld" trainstation. From there you will get in 15 min to Vienna capital city.

We have as a self-catering equipment missed nothing: oven, freezer, coffee maker (filter + capsule), etc. everything is available, plus a good base of cooking utensils including oil, spices, coffee and more. Also bedding, towels, toilet paper, shampoo and shower gel, everything was there. These many little things are always very pleasant, because then you do not have to bring everything / shopping. If the weather permits, you also have a totally beautiful garden. The communication with the sympathetic hosts went smoothly.

  • 'The older the better' is just for Elfi and Reinhard and their place. The place is like a treasure house, so we was able to experience lots of old stuff. Reinhard is such a nice guy and Elif is a lovely lady. They did their best to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Especially, the pool is the best place for kids. It was really spacious and well kept by Reinhard. The style of the house is quite old, but that's the strong point of the place. I wanna visit the place again next time.

Die Nähe zur Messestadt Tulln (ca. 10 Min.) , nach Wien (ca. 30 Min. mit dem Auto oder mit der Bahn von Bahnhof Tullnerfeld), dem Wienerwald und auch in die Wachau (ca. 40 Min.) bietet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge.

It is a very big house and everything you could possibly need is there.     Our Stadl is a modern one-family house with an optical characteristic of a framehouse. The terrace has a view to the wine-mountains and is also canopied and furnished (Lounge-furniture and dining table). Of course it is allowed to play or chill in the garden. If you like you can also use a barbecue (Gas-Grill is available).
    Our Stadl is located in a quiet housing complex. We live very "green" and have pleasently and friendly neighbours. Our private parking places are available for you.

  • Incredible place to stay on the country side, surrounded by vineyards with outstanding views!! A fantastic and very friendly host, Gebhard welcomed us with thoughtful touches, it was very special. The cottage is large and beautifully decorated, every possible detail is accounted for. Trotz der Nähe zum Zentrum ist die Wohnung absolut ruhig gelegen.

Tulln is in the center of Lower Austria and offers nice trips to adjacent capitals like Prague and Bratislava. Together with the over-complete infrastructure of the apartment it is ideal both for leisure and work!
    The apartment is in the 2nd floor and offers an amazing view to a garden with old trees. It is completely new refurbished and fully equipped. Upon request, the garage in the basement of the building can be used for 2 bicycles max for a small fee. For parking your car the public garage in the adjacent building offers very attractive rates (eg 1 Euro overnight)
    The apartment is in a alleyway in the historic city of Tulln, a very familial environment. From the apartment to the Danube's riverside it is only 50 m, very inviting for sports (bike, running, nordic walking) or simply enjoying the famous sunset. From June to August you can join the performances of "Danube Stage" (mostly concerts, most of them complimentary).

    This is a cottage with a selfregulating, organic garden, above a pond, not far from a well known castle. The housing is VERY rustic and primitive. Please NOTE: THERE IS NO BATH and NO running WATER inside and ONLY a COMPOST toilet. It is lovely in the summer, though, for people who are secure in taking care of themselves. In my garden the superfood Moringa is fresh and plenty. Also of wild superfoods and edible flowers there is more than enough. You need to book well in advance, since I travel.
    You can choose from 2 beds, in 2 different rooms. 1 room has electricity and wlan. The other room is completely free of all signals. A delight for people who are e-smog sensitive. An air mattress is possible additionally, but only in the summertime. I usually stay around with the guests, but you can also use the cottage alone, for the extra charge of my travel fee (30,- Euros). The region is truly wonderful and quiet. To Vienna it takes 30 minutes by car, or about 60 minutres with the train from door to door. Since this is a cottage, in a natural garden, you will find that nature is very close - actually you sleep in it, and the birds start to sing at 4 o’clock - so bring the ear plugs or get up and enjoy. We have a wild black bird, who lives in the garden. He sings a very special, joyful, recognisable tune.
    There are small Heutigen all over the place and gourmet food just around the corner. My garden also provides fresh herbs and flowers most of the year. The local restaurant is usually open at lunch, and they cook very well a typical local food.

  • Jana has renovated this house herself and left it as far as possible in its originality - a wooden floor, as I know it from my childhood. Walls of unfired mud bricks. In the evening there is light from kerosene lamps. Jana also uses the permaculture garden for research purposes. In a range of other areas Jana has a lot of knowledge, skills and experience. The conversations with her were VERY inspiring. The toilet situation can of course be used to civilizing pampered:) All in all a very cool experience

    Wer eine Unterkunft für einen Urlaub oder eine Geschäftsreise sucht, für den ist diese kleine Wohnung genau das Richtige. Sie wohnen mit uns am Weingut in einem typischen Weinort im südlichen Kamptal. Sie haben Ihren eigenen Eingang und können den Innenhof gern mitbenutzen. Die kleine Wohnung bietet Ihnen alle Annehmlichkeiten die man im Urlaub so braucht.
    Die Wohnung verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer (mit Vorhängen vom Wohnraum trennbar), einen Wohnraum mit Esstisch, Couch, Fernseher, Kachelofen, usw. sowie ein Bad mit Dusche. Im Vorraum befindet sich die Toilette und ein Billiard/Snookertisch, sowie der Kühlschrank. Eine Kaffeemaschine und ein Wasserkocher sind ebenfalls vorhanden (keine ganze Küche). Kaffee, Tee, Säfte, Wein und Bier, sowie Snacks aus unserem Snack Körbchen können jederzeit genommen werden und werden bei Abreise verrechnet. Mineralwasser stellen wir gratis zur Verfügung. Was wir sonst noch haben, falls Sie brauchen: Reisegitterbett, Kinderspielsachen, DVDs, Kinderhochstuhl, Kindergeschirr, Fahrrad mit Kindersitz bzw. Anhänger, Bügelbrett und Bügeleisen. (je nachdem würden wir eine Nutzgebühr verrechnen, das wird vor Ort einfach ausgemacht...) Bei Interesse können wir, je nach Verfügbarkeit des Winzers auch eine Weinverkostung bzw. Kellerführung anbieten.

  • The accommodation is really perfect. Bigger and roomier than expected. Cleanliness is perfect! And really stylish and "instagram-worthy". In addition, the hosts are very nice. Breakfast was unfortunately not with us, but coffee and snacks are available for a fee. And I slept as well as I did in a long time. Simply a great feel - good atmosphere.

    Das Ferienhaus hat eine Wohnfläche von ca. 100m2 für 2-4 Personen. Es verfügt über einen gemütlichen Schlafraum und eine offene Einbauküche mit anschließendem Essbereich. Im Wohnzimmer steht eine ausziehbare Couch für 2 Personen. Im Badezimmer befinden sich eine Badewanne und ein WC. Auf der großen und gemütlichen Terrasse kann man so richtig entspannen und genießen.
    In der Wagramperle wird alt und neu zusammengefügt. Im Wohnzimmer haben wir beim Renovieren eine Wand aus Urgroßmutterszeiten entdeckt und diese - weil sie so besonders und so schön ist - restauriert. Der Schreibtisch, der Schrank, der Holztisch sind Antiquitäten und gehörten meinen (Ur)Großeltern. Das Bad hingegen ist ganz neu und modern eingerichtet. Aber das schönste sind die großen Glasschiebetüren. Somit kann man immer den Garten und die Natur sehen.
    Unser Ferienhaus befindet sich in zentraler Lage, nur ein paar Gehminuten vom wunderschön gestalteten Marktplatz (barocke Dreifaltigkeitssäule, „Moosbauerhaus“ aus der Renaissance, Marktsäule aus dem Jahr 1636), von der Wallfahrtskirche Maria Trost, von der Schaugartenanlage Alchemistenpark bzw. von der Gebietsvinothek Weritas entfernt. Die Landschaft hier am Wagram wird vom Weinbau geprägt. Vom Frühling bis in den Herbst gibt es Veranstaltungen rund um das Thema „Wein“ (Frühlingserwachen, Weinherbst, Kellergassenfeste, New Vino). Das ganze Jahr über laden Winzer aus Kirchberg und der Umgebung zum gemütlichen Zusammensitzen bei idyllischen Heurigen ein. Kirchberg am Wagram ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderer. Routen führen rund um Königsbrunn und Stetteldorf, von Engelmannsbrunn über Kirchberg nach Ober-, Mitter- und Unterstockstall rund um Großriedenthal, Neudegg und Ottenthal sowie durch die Donauauen bei Altenwörth.   • Beautiful apartment in a separate annex. Everything is completely remodeled and very stylish. Very bright with a great view in the garden. A wood-burning pellet stove is available, so that you can make yourself cozy in the evening. A coffee machine is also available. Right around the corner is the local wine-tasting area where you can taste the wines of the region. By the way, you can also have excellent food. Overall a great apartment, which you can recommend to anyone

    the house is located in lower Austria, but the way to Vienna is not so far away. The house is very modern because we have built it in 2016. The view from our house is great and you have around the house a lot of trees. If you prefer silent you are right at our house! Stockerau and Tulln are 10km away from us. We have a train station to come to Vienna. In our village is also a food store, a bank, a tobacconist and a beautiful wine tavern. If you drive by care you need 30 minutes to Vienna.
    The view is awesome! We have a daughter, so we have a lot of toys which you can use. The bathroom is very big and comfortable.

  • Sabine is a wonderful host with a lovely family. The house is very clean, and the room is big. They are happy to help wherever needed, or just have a chat. Would definitely recommend if you need to be in the area! There are also trains going to Vienna every hour or so, and that takes about 30-40 mins. Nice place!

  • This place is Paradise, Very close to Vienna city just 40 KM if you have car this is the place you should not miss. Hosts are very friendly and caring but at the same time they keep priority for your privacy, they are really social and lively. They have extended the beautiful courtesy and took me out to few near by amazing places. You will find lovely pets around you. I will definitely stay with them for all my future visits.

Pets are allowed by request only and are charged 10 Euro per day per animal. The immediate area is great for walking dogs (or cats).
    The location is very quiet, on a street with only 3 houses and leading directly to the country walks through the fields and local villages. A very comfortable place for walking your dog (or a cat). As it is only round the corner from the beautiful town of Tulln, It is a great stay over for people traveling to the Alps as well as for those touring the Danube or visiting town exhibitions or just for walks, bike rides and site seeing.

  • I made two reservations, there the two reviews. See my previos review. Large apartment on the top floor (5th floor) with elevator. Free public parking next to the building and you can see the car from the large windows. Beautiful and very safe area. Bicycle path (I believe its called E6) aling the Danube goes in front of the apartment. Large bacony faces the Danube river and you see cruise ships and the dock. We went to vienna by driving to P+R Spittelau (30-40min) and took public transportation from there. Another day drove to Krems, took boat and biked from Melk to Krems (easier than doing the route from Tulln although we saw multitudes of cyclists going through Tulln). Overall a sparkling clean, large, well furnished apartment in a great location. Ic we come back to the area, will definitely get it!

  • This apartment is much much greater than the pictures. Modern design, great furnitures, fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom utilities and comfortable beds. The large balcony is the best part of the apartment. You can simply relax there watching the Donau river and beautiful sunset. We all love it. Thank you Martin! Will definitely recommend to others.

Ein Haus mit Seele Altes wurde erhalten, Neues geschaffen - ganz nach unserem Geschmack. Jedes Detail wurde mit Liebe ausgesucht. Wir sind gerne Gastgeber und freuen uns auf unsere Gäste.
    Ein altes Haus wurde liebevoll renoviert. Wir haben Wert auf gute Betten und klare Formen gelegt. Die Zimmer sind mit Laminat bzw. Parkett ausgelegt und für die Wohlfühlatmosphäre liegen Perserteppiche drinnen. Wir haben ganz Modernes mit alten Bildern und Möbeln gemixt. Die Bäder sind alle gefliest und mit großen Duschen ausgestattet.

Stupa in Grafenwörth- ein Friedensdenkmal laut Betreiber soll der Stupa ein Ort der Liebe, der Stille und der Meditation sein. Der Stupa steht direkt in den Weinbergen mit grandiosem Ausblick. Der Platz der Stupa wurde entsprechend der Tradition nach ganz genau vorgegebenen Regeln gewählt. Im Norden das alte Land, im Süden das Gebirge, in der Nähe ein Fluss mit der richtigen Flussrichtung. Die Materialien zum Bau der Stupa werden aus Respekt zu dem Land auf dem er steht ausgewählt. Bei uns ist das hier u.a. der Lehm und das Holz, aus dem auch die Kuppel ist. Ich hatte das Glück einer persönlichen Führung durch den Stupa und war sehr beeindruckt. Kommt doch auch her und schaut Euch den Stupa an. Er steht allen Menschen, egal welcher religiöser oder weltanschaulicher Ausrichtung offen und soll allen Menschen Frieden und Liebe spenden. Der Stupa hat eine sonnige und friedenvolle Ausstrahlung ganz abgesehen von der heilenden und positiven Energie. Leiter des Projekts ist der Buddhistische Mönch Bop Jon Sunim Tenzin Tharchin.
