When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead and enter the Guest Barn, you'll notice the construction materials which were salvaged from a nearby barn and corncrib. The timbers from these buildings were torn down, moved to our farm and rebuilt into a smaller “new” barn. It truly represents a real farm experience you can feel. While here, you'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow, watch barn kitties play, while gazing across the vast farm vistas.

CR Station Train Caboose

Enjoy the restoration of our charming and cozy caboose! Complete with all the amenities you'll need and more! Linens and towels, refrigerator, microwave, a double burner hot plate, dishes for cooking, barware for cocktailing, and even the original conductor's chairs to watch the sunset over the horse pasture. The EJ house was built in 1905 with the original woodwork, stain glass windows and front door. The house is a little over 1600 sqft of living space. The house has 4 bedrooms with three queen beds and one full size bed. Guests will find it to be surprisingly spacious and a comfortable place to work, play or relax. There is a full-size washer and dryer in the house. The house has central air for those warm summer days or enjoy the large back deck. The woodwork is original to the house.

You'll get peace and quiet at Rustic Acres, but we aren't far from local attractions! We are located about two miles north of Seed Savers, three miles from Winneshiek Wildberry Winery, seven miles from Luther College, nine miles from downtown Decorah, and 13 miles from Toppling Goliath.

Cushions Cabins West

Very private, secluded and relaxing spot within 30 yards of walking or biking trail. Enjoy wildlife, plenty of deer and eagles to watch off the large open front porch. Fire pits for each cabin with firewood provided. Grill provided in front yard. Two private bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Kitchen included microwave, 2-burner stove and full size refrigerator. Coffee make and toaster also provided. River for canoeing and kayaking within walking distance.

Hill Top House

Located .5 miles from the Upper Iowa River, Hilltop house has the most perfect view. The house sleeps 8, but we welcome and encourage smaller groups as well. This location has 2 bathrooms, a relaxing loft and the most dreamy porch. *WARNING* When booking in the winter be aware of our driveway shown in the picture. We highly recommend 4 wheel drive. We also have a pack n play and high chair available upon request.

Acorn Cabin
