Walmer Green is the hub for summer events including the famous Deal Carnival in July and weekly Sunday concerts at the bandstand. From May to September the free open air children's paddling pool is open . Guests will be given their own keys Someone who’s offsite will be available as needed The cottage is located in a quiet residential street just back from Walmer Green and the seafront. A 15-minute level stroll along the seafront promenade leads to Deal town. Buses into Deal, Sandwich, Canterbury, Dover and beyond stop a few metres from the cottage. Deal's award winning High Street and train station are also only a 15 minute stroll away. With pubs, cafés, and local shops selling basic provisions on the doorstep. Walmer Green is a few paces away from the apartment and throughout the summer provides the backdrop for weekly events such as the annual antiques brocante, funfair, vintage car and motorbike displays, food market.

There are 2 bright and airy bedrooms and a sofa bed downstairs. It is a perfect base for couples, family and friends to enjoy all that Whitstable has to offer. Waverley Cottage is opposite a friendly, historic pub that sometimes has live music and tables outside, so may disturb children at night. PLEASE NOTE there is free street parking but no driveway.
