Vacation rentals with a patio in Santo António das Areias

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

We stayed in the “wall”. It is a small but spectacular house, inside one of the most quiet and secluded areas of the castle. It has a walled courtyard, which for us was an added value since we also took our bige. In fact, ALs that accept animals are always to be congratulated because they suffer from the scarcity. The house is in an area where it is difficult to go by car (although it is possible but the streets are too narrow) and Mr Luís was very helpful to take us (to us, to our bags and to our dog) to the house at check in, which was a great help. Even so, walking access is fast. We recommend it.

Luis was very helpful. directions for self check-in were extensive but clear and Luis called to ensure we understood. location is across the river from main area but that worked for us as a bit quieter and still an easy walk or Uber. parking on site a great advantage. apartment is as expected. fresh apples a nice touch as well as some coffee pods. would not hesitate to recommend.

Liliana is attentive and answered all my questions, left us lots of fruit and also cleaning products. The house is large and very well equipped, it had everything for cooking, and to spend 5 quiet days. There is heating in the bedrooms and a fireplace in the kitchen and also in the basement. The house is equipped with games, dishes, machines, utensils, absolutely everything. The surroundings are very calm, the view is beautiful. But there is nothing to do in Pera, in Castanheira de Pera there are already some shops. It is really a house to rest, hike and isolate yourself.

Ghanim was, together with Vera, an excellent host. Very friendly, helpful and seemed to be always on call for our questions. We had some trouble finding the location (due to Google Maps not selecting the right area, Apple Maps worked fine) and Ghanim was very helpful by sending us waypoints and screenshots of the road we had to take. Also the check-in and check-out were very flexible. The location itself is huge, beautiful, nicely decorated and all the amenities are present - from linen to appliances and fresh lemons from the tree in the garden. Morning coffees in the greenhouse were part of our main routine. Can and will absolutely recommend 🙏

It was spacious, well equipped and better than the photos depicted. Alison and Rod have renovated this property with love and care and provided everything you need and more for a relaxing stay.

This was a really cute and nice place. It was as showed in the pictures, even a pooltable! The house is clean with a cozy fire place we used a lot because it was winter. The garden very beautiful and big. Though the outside area and pool is shared with another place on the same property, which was no problem for us but might should be taken into account. The surroundings are stunning, perfect for some peaceful time in nature.

Highly recommended for a peaceful and beautiful setting. Much more than I expected! The photos are very accurate in describing the house.

We absolutely loved Oliver and Arran’s Airbnb! The terrace and the view are stunning, and the house itself is beautiful. Stargazing from the hot tub was an absolute dream. Oliver and Arran are wonderful hosts — warm, welcoming, and helpful. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

A very comfortable and very clean place to stay. I had plenty of utensils . It had firewood available and a very comfortable beds. The accommodation is excellent.

nice place to rest and good gastronomy

Pete and Linda are the best hosts we've ever had on Airbnb. They both went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable, from local restaurant recommendations to pool toys and everything in-between. Our daughter had an amazing holiday! The house itself is charming, with tonnes of space and everything you could need. The pool is fantastic and well kept. The local area is remote and beautiful with gorgeous countryside everywhere and some charming river beaches. I managed a run down from the house to the beach and back a couple of times but it's pretty hilly. In short, we couldn't recommend this place more. Thanks

Beautiful and nice to be close but out of the really busy area across the river

The house is spectacular! Well looked after and decorated! Very clean. The rooms are very large! The room had a heater and closet! Parking is easy and it's easy to find the house as well. The host was impeccable, was very friendly and responded very quickly! We had to change the reservation and stay one night less, for the period allowed, and quickly accepted. We only stayed for one night, but we really enjoyed the stay! Super we recommend!
