“This is one of the best airbnb’s we have ever stayed in! We will definitely stay here again. We can highly recommend it to anyone. There was so many personal touches and the house is absolutely gorgeous, even prettier than in the pictures. It is nice and quiet, out in the country and not a far drive from either san antonio, austin or houston. We enjoyed cooking in a perfectly equipped kitchen, spending time on the patio overlooking the property, the fire place, beautiful rooms... everything was just perfect!”
Schulenburg (AKA The Burg) is easy to get to. Just hang a right halfway between Houston and San Antonio traveling west on Interstate 10 and you’re here. Need a place to hang your hat? We invite you to stay at Das Meyer Haus (DMH), a lovely and well-appointed 3 bedroom / 1 bath 1905 Victorian home conveniently located in the downtown area.
“We were a group of ladies from Plano’s Garden Club in town to tour the painted Churches. My experience with Jess was extraordinary, from booking, questions and recommendations. I can’t say enough about how exquisite the property is. Suffice it to say that the first 20 minutes were spent wandering the house, exclaiming how cute something was, how the host thought of everything, and that they wanted to just live there. Pictures filled a shared album! Quality antiques furnish a superb restoration. Our linens, robes and towels were top of the line. The house was also state of the art with technology! A “Nest” controlled the temperature and a programmable lock was on the door. (Huge umbrellas in case it rained!). One guest was a light sleeper and a train runs through town at night. We found earplugs for her in the cabinet! There is a very nice yard that we didn’t use. All was immaculate!”
