Writer’s Block retreat is the perfect romantic getaway for couples or writers and artists. It was selected as 1 of 11 finalists in the 2022 Airbnb Best Nature Stay for Aus & NZ. Set on 27 acres and surrounded by gums and chestnut trees, this private rural retreat is within a 10-minute drive to cafes, restaurants, shops, picturesque walks and the famous Puffing Billy. The Yarra Valley is only a 30-minute scenic drive to local wineries and farmers' markets. Fully functional kitchen and laundry.

Little House on the Hill

The Little House on the Hill at the eastern end of Warburton overlooks the chooks, the veggie patch, the orchard and across the valley to gorgeous 270° views. It is next door to the Big House, set on an acre that slopes down to the Yarra River. A great swimming spot on hot days and a good way to access the town and the rail trail (five minutes there, maybe ten minutes return - uphill). There are plenty of lovely walks nearby including the Aqueduct Trail that starts further up the hill.

You can enjoy your quiet stay with the company of farm animals outside your window. There are many animals on the farm which you can feed, including a donkey, goats and pony. Your very own cottage haven in the heart of the Yarra Valley, surrounded by farmland and abundant nature. Cosy-up in the evenings with the wood fire and rest and reset with your own private two-person sauna. There are country views, free range chickens and a very comfy king size bed. When we can, we love to provide homemade bread and eggs from the chooks. Located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, with Lilydale, Yarra Glen, Healesville and Warburton all 15-30 mins away by car.

Just an hour from Melbourne, it’s perfect for exploring nearby wineries, many just a short drive away, and 2.5 km from the Warburton Rail Trail. The iconic Puffing Billy Railway and Healesville Sanctuary are also nearby, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and those seeking a blend of relaxation and adventure.

Artisans Apartment

Romantic retreat overlooking forest Stylish decor with ambient lighting and original artwork create a modern warm and cosy feel. The zen inspired private garden is for the exclusive use of our guests. The Artisans Apartment is a self-contained dwelling with queen size bed and bathroom. The second room includes a small dining table and a sofa bed that we can make up for an additional guest or two. There is a fully functioning kitchen with breakfast ingredients supplied.

Vintage Caravan, Rainforest & Lyrebirds

Our 1959 vintage caravan is just 12ft long, best for a couple or two friends. Wake up to the sounds of Lyrebirds, enjoy a private walk in our rainforest gully and stroll around the garden, one of the best private gardens in the Dandenongs. Offering a minimum of one night stay for a quick getaway or to stay longer & enjoy the peace, light the fire pit, which is under cover, ideal if it's raining (made from a beer keg), and roast marshmallows.
