“This is an amazing and family friendly place for a quiet getaway. Our family and dog loved the thoughtful touches and time away from the busy everyday life. The property is huge and safely fenced so your dog will have plenty of space to roam and run around in. We loved the CD player outside on the decking where we could listen to soft jazz music (there’s a whole stack of CDs and movies in one of the bedrooms) while chatting on the couch. My husband and I also loved sitting on the two chairs around the other side of the decking to gaze at the night sky/stars. The dining table can be pulled out to accommodate 6 people. Please note that this property is further out from town and does not have fast wifi or phone connection, which I loved as it forces you to spend time together with your family rather than being glued to the screen. I now have fond memories of us as a family spending quality time together in this quaint cottage.”

Minimum 2 night stay over the Easter and Christmas period.
“We had a lovely time at Carolyn & Doug’s wonderful farmhouse. It’s incredibly peaceful & having the cellar door so close is really special. We enjoyed a lovely drink and platter there on a very warm afternoon. The house kept lovely and cool in high temps & was equipped with great kitchen gear which made it really easy to cook. We had our 18 month son with us and the house was so child friendly. Lots of space outside to run around too. It’s easy to get to lots of nearby towns and attractions and we really enjoyed exploring Daylesford, Trentham & Woodend. Doug & Carolyn were great hosts and we returned to Melbourne far more relaxed than when we left!”
The Dairy is a beautiful piece of history set in 21 hectares of rolling pasture. Built by Italian settlers in the 1860s, the stone building has been sensitively renovated to create a studio retreat of rustic calm.
“This is a lovely spot! The dairy is beautifully renovated and very comfortable with thoughtful touches like cushions for use outside, loose leaf tea and a coffee grinder and plenty of cookware. The bed is very comfortable and the reading nook is lovely and airy with the windows open. Lovely bath too and no issues with the composting toilet. Fiona was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!”
