Kid-friendly vacation rentals in South Lanarkshire

Enjoyed a great few days at Old Polmadie. Old Polmadie area has been completely redeveloped in recent years. Lots of little parks nearby and swans in the pond. It was a great set up for our three generations of family and very helpful to have 3 bathrooms plus the backyard plus parking for two cars. There was a convenience store and coffee shop at the corner plus the nearby Jenny Burn pub/restaurant was also dog friendly and walkable. For our nights out it was a 30 min walk to merchant city area or an easy Uber. The house was also stocked with the various necessities that are always helpful on arrival to an Airbnb. It was an easy home to walk into and enjoy. Thank you Kevin!!!

My stay here was fantastic! Our family absolutely loved our stay! The space was clean, cozy, and well-equipped and exactly as described. The host was incredibly attentive and responsive. We felt at home during our entire stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend it to anyone.

Great place, photos don’t do it justice. House is lovely and it’s very peaceful and quiet. Very close to Glasgow, would definitely stay again.

We had a good night here with a comfortable stay. Neil was very responsive and keen to make sure that everything was ok. The only thing to be aware of is that the garden is a shared front garden and the neighbour has a dog that spends a fair amount of time outside, we were with our dog who isn’t the friendliest at times so although we avoided any contact between them, this could be an issue for some.

This flat is in a great location for accessing Glasgow city centre. Good bus and rail links. Check in/out was very easy and communication with the host was easy. Once inside we found it to be one of the cleanest and comfiest Airbnb’s we have stayed at. Kitchen was well stocked and a nice garden to relax in. This was a perfect place for our stay in Glasgow.

A beautiful home away from home! The perfect base to explore Glasgow — easy access to public transport, lovely walking routes, and a great way to soak up the charm of this vibrant city. We spent some spectacular days here as two families with kids aged 9 to 13, and it couldn’t have been better!

This is such a beautiful property and the surroundings are so peaceful! The cottage was well furnished and provided a home away from home while we travelled and worked throughout the UK. Cass was a great host and very accommodating.

We stayed at Kevin’s place for three nights and had a great experience. The apartment was spotless and exactly as shown in the photos. It’s conveniently located near bus stops and the train station, making it easy to get to the city centre. Kevin thoughtfully provided a variety of cooking essentials, and we really appreciated having access to Netflix, Disney+, and other entertainment options. He was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Trish was a fantastic host. Place was really nice, I can’t recommend it enough. Trish would respond to my messages almost right away and helped us out with last minute requests as my plans had changed, she was very accommodating. Clear instructions of how to get into the property and was always on hand incase we needed any additional help.

We loved this flat, it exceeded our expectations and was a really special place to stay. The artworks on the walls, decor and ambience of the flat were so welcoming, and it was flooded with natural light and filled with healthy and well cared for houseplants. It was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Hugh was friendly and welcoming and communicated well. The neighbourhood is highly recommended as well, we ate at Lobo a few minutes walk from the flat. The staff were friendly and the food excellent. A lot of local businesses looked good for foodies, we didn’t have time to sample them. The train to Glasgow central was handy and a 5 minute journey.

Lewis is an exceptional host. The layout of the flat was great and the location was perfect for me.

Russel is a great host. Easy check-in and the place has all we need. Since it was a holiday stay he even gave us a check-in gift which was muchly appreciated. The place is in a great location being very close to the train with lots of local places if you need things along with great cafes if you want. We especially like that it is on the first floor (we are getting older) and quiet. We have stayed here before and will continue to use it when we can since our daughter and family live a manageable walk nearby.

This was a beautiful apartment and exactly as described. Anni and Selwyn were wonderful hosts and were helpful and responsive at all times. The apartment was really well equipped, comfortable and well located for reaching most areas of central Glasgow. Definitely 10/10 and highly recommended, we will certainly be back! Thank you Anni!

Our stay was amazing! We walked to the Langside train station every day and went into the Glasgow Central Railway station. From there, we were able to get to all of the shops and sights! We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the place! Also, the trees and vegetation in the front yard are spectacular!! Everything anyone could possibly want was provided by Michele! All in all, a perfect place to stay in Glasgow!!

He had a great long weekend break, the place is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The area is peaceful and there’s plenty to do within walking distance while also being well connected to central Glasgow. Jay is a fantastic host, everything was clearly communicated and responsive when we did have any queries.

Great place for a stopover travelling up to Shetland. Lovely walks from the door. Comfortable annex would stay again.

Vivien is a kind and thoughtful host. There is a certain degree of care and thoughtfulness present from their team which made my experience feel so much warmer. This place has all that you need, so I felt comfortable and right at home. Besides the hospitality from the hosts, the street is quite dreamy, beautiful and quiet. The home itself is spacious, clean and ideal for comfort. Every bnb has its unique feel and I’d say this one is best for people who enjoy simplicity, nature, and quiet.
