“I’ve been going to Okoboji since I was a kid and. Ok take my family up almost every year to make more memories! We rented the Bunk House last minute and for a quick getaway before school stars and couldn’t have been more pleased! It was short walk to Barefoot and had all updated amenities and such great decor! The cabin had everything new needed including 3 bikes that we used to go for rides with kids as there are trails close. Nick and hosts were very accommodating and responsive! Emporium and other regular hot spots just short drive away. We will definitely be back!”

“Joann was so kind and flexible with our late check-in. We didn't check-in until 10pm and she was there to greet us and show up the inn. She even provided us with coffee and breakfast snacks in the morning outside our room door! Her inn is so peaceful, I was able to drink my coffee on the front porch in the morning and I must say it was my highlight! I would definitely recommend a stay at the Railroad Inn! Hope to return one day soon.”
Beautiful rural acreage with private "bunkhouse" located minutes from the Okoboji Iowa Great Lakes, Historic Spencer, and the Clay County Fair, the world's greatest county fair. Enjoy the peaceful setting including outdoor fire pit area, gazebo area, playground, barn with animals to pet, fruit trees, and room to roam. Full kitchen is included. Two private bedrooms and plenty of hang-out space and extra sleeping spaces.
“Dan and Karen were wonderful hosts! The homemade bread on the counter was a wonderful first impression and it helped us figure out what we would do for our breakfasts (toast, of course). This was a last minute Iowa lakes area vacation for us and the location was close enough to the lake to come back for nap time, but far enough away to avoid the lakes prices. We have two small children and between the playhouse in the old chicken coop, the swings and the trampoline, they were never left wanting more. Our 4 year old even got a pony ride in the morning before we left. We would definitely stay here again in the future!”
