House vacation rentals in Staunton

We loved using the pool and the patio/grill area. The view and the landscaping are beautiful. The owner was helpful and responsive; she supplied firewood and charcoal. Plenty of dining space both indoors and out. Good A/C.

3 Nights was not enough for our 7 member family. We cooked, grilled, soaked in the hot and best of all had a delightful tour of Barbara's and Mike's Sheep Farm, all fit in around wedding events in Rixeyville. If life wouldn't have been in the way, 2 more days enjoying the massive deck and game room downstairs would have been perfection.

An absolutely perfect weekend at a beautiful home and property. Exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Susan’s farm house was perfect for enjoying a relaxing getaway with plenty of space for multiple families and kids. All of the spices are very large and honestly it’s better in person than in the pictures. We would recommend it to anyone and return again! The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you could need. And it was great being right on the winery.

Great location next to slopes and restaurants! Easy to get to, park out front and easy access to enter. Cozy and comfortable inside and everything available we would need for the weekend. Appreciated the plentiful firewood right out front. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back in the summer! Thank you for sharing your mountain condo with our family!

We loved our stay! The house was beautiful and so thoughtfully appointed. The kids loved the pool and running around outside, the views were beautiful, and Sarah was such a welcoming host. We are looking forward to coming back!

Place was lovely and exactly as listed. Spacious , great views, clean and lots of DVDs and board games. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful location. Room for several family members. Nice pool, deck, fire pits and chairs. Very peaceful and beautiful scenery. Expect to see deer playing in the field. I will say, if you’re a light sleeper you will hear every single board creak with any movement. The only couch is also in the basement, so no room to comfortably sit inside and visit. Plenty of wooden chairs at the dinning table, just not as comfy.

Great airbnb! Had so many amenities especially in the kitchen and bathrooms! Only unfortunate thing was that the neighboring farm has just manured its fields and the smell was extremely overpowering. The host warned us of this the day of checkin and I’m sure there’s no way of knowing this would be the case beforehand but it was just an unfortunate situation especially since the hottub was the main draw for us. Otherwise it was a great experience and the hosts were very communicative with local recommendations and clear instructions! Would come again but maybe not in manure season ;)

Our kids had such a wonderful time! Between the game room, the hot tub, the fire pit and the huge field, they always had something to do. Our favorite part was the sunrise view from the bedrooms. Stunning!

The place is very nice and is located right in the middle of town. But we spoke with Oxana for a few minutes - that was really what takes this listing above and beyond. She was so nice and gave us tons of local recommendations on things to see. Definitely stay here, it's better than anything else you will find nearby.

Perfectly suited the needs for our small family. Cozy feel. Exactly what we wanted for our mountain getaway. Good instructions both through Airbnb and a binder. Outdoor and screened porch was great.

TDLR version: If you have a big group (more than 5) for a ski trip at Wintergreen, and are looking at places to stay, you better book this place fast because it won’t be there later. 100% worth it. No complaints at all. Longer review: This place had everything we expected and more. Big living room area for gatherings, pristine kitchen with huge counter and dining table. Appliances looked brand new as well. There’s a mudroom with a separate entrance to put all your board/ski gear in to keep the house clean. The back deck is very spacious, and the gazebo has a light under it for late nights outside. Internet worked great the whole stay as well. All in all, it felt like we were staying at resort lodging, while having a private host on speed dial. Gina was an amazing host, being very responsive, giving detailed yet not overly complicated instructions and rules for the house, and being understanding when problems arose. 12/10 would stay again.

House was great and close to SVU which is where I was visiting my daughter. I had everything I needed for the week available. Quiet location.

Our weekend girls' trip getaway to Susanne's pastoral family homeplace was absolutely wonderful, as this property is truly its own point of interest! While all bed/bath/kitchen provisions were top notch and well exceeded a typical amenity checklist, the thing that comforted us the most was a warm and open welcoming into the doors of this historic family home. From classic furnishings and sturdy wares, old photos and whimsical trinkets, interesting nooks and mysterious crannies, peaceful porch seating and delightful cow parades, abundant trees and beautiful flowers... we felt like we were right at home. Although we could have been perfectly content staying parked on the property our entire stay (and may plan to do just that for our next visit) we opted to enjoy a lovely drive for a day hike to a stunning waterfall in Shenandoah National Park, and went in to Charlottesville for some shopping on the pedestrian mall. We 100% recommend this historic property and Susanne's warm hospitality!

We had such a lovely time at the ‘small house’! Jennifer was quick to respond with any questions we had (about the property and the town)! We loved playing yard games and hanging out by the water. The kitchen was stocked with spices and all the things we needed to spend time together cooking. We plan to visit again in the Winter!

We had a great stay at the Critzer House. It was just as described and perfect for our two families of four. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out together or retreat to separate spaces for some quiet time. The sunroom was great for starting the day with coffee and finishing with adult beverages. The location was ideal...30 minutes or less to incredible hikes, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Easy walk to Blue Mountain Brewery for dinner after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

Overall was a great location to anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors since the National Forest was nearby with gorgeous views! Or even enjoy all that the resort area offered! House was clean and the host was always made sure to get back to us about any questions that may have come up. Our kids loved that there was a game area as well that they could watch tv or game without having to give up the TV for the adults to watch TV.

We loved the house and the area!! It was so quiet and peaceful. We sat on the porch for hours just staring at the view! Great hiking trails nearby!

It’s a very cute house, we really enjoyed our stay. We had no cell service but there is WiFi so it all worked out great! It’s the woods so there are some bugs inside but nothing too bad. It’s a great place, easy to get to as well. I’d definitely stay here again!

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

We had a great time at Justin's house. It was immaculate, had all the amenities we needed, and is a great location for exploring Shenandoah National Park and the Shenandoah Valley. Justin provided very detailed instructions, which made checking in a breeze. We would definitely stay there again.
