Cannot recommend this place enough. Such a relaxing peaceful location, with two pubs within walking distance. The host was very friendly and greeted us on arrival and even helped us with our bags. The place was really nice and had everything you’d need for a night or two away. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return!

Our Stay in Lofthouse brought us lovely weather in April which enabled us to make use of the garden and outdoor space which was great for the children and the dogs! the location was lovely for walks around and How Stean Gorge was a hit with the kids for the Gorge, cafe and play area( plus ice-creams!) The House had everything we needed, and was large enough to accommodate an extended family. We visited localish national trust hotspots which were a little drive but worth it for the Easter trails to entertain shorter legs! We arranged a Tesco delivery as shops nearby are 15 mins away and wanted to be sure we had everything. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore more.

What an idyllic cottage and location! Just like the photos and as peaceful as we had hoped. The views from every window are beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden, the walks, Druids Temple, How Stean Gorge Cafe and The Crown in Lofthouse and then the cosy fire in the evenings. Hamper with snacks, cereal etc and basic supplies were much appreciated! Nice touches such as daffodils on the dining table made it feel lovely and homely. Beds were really comfy and generally the cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. Hoping we can visit again one day!
