“What a beautiful little house! I stayed with my family as a rest stop whilst doing the great ocean Road and we all loved it. The house itself is styled beautifully with lots of little retro elements. Lovely big open living space, perfect for cooking our dinner and eating around the table. All the beds were comfy and cosy. We also really enjoyed the record player and all the soul records! Would highly recommend and would have stayed longer if we could! Thank you kell!”

“We had a great time staying at Linda's place. The place is a cabin and is separate from the main house so has privacy. Linda's attention to detail in setting this up is outstanding. We had everything we could need. We especially appreciated the snacks left for us. This is an ideal location for stopping over on the Great Ocean Road trip or if you're looking for something authentically Australian and a bit different from your typical airbnb. Communication with Linda was super. We highly recommend staying here.”
A delightful room, nominally the honeymoon suite. Perfect for a romantic stay. You have a most comfortable bed, a charming balcony and a bathroom across the hall for just $85 pn . You also get a café and a self cook kitchen, a bar, a beer garden, a reading room, an events space and of course a relaxing lounge. The boutique hotel is an historical event and so close to the Great Ocean Road. Terang also deserves at least a few days of exploration for its indigenous and agricultural history.
“What a find! I was in town for family reasons as opposed to leisure, and found myself such a soft landing place. The building itself is wonderful, like a time capsule. Everything sparkling clean and so much character and history everywhere you look. There was a very moving photographic exhibition to view and I believe much more which I did not have the opportunity to explore. Les shows films, showcases art and is a passionate supporter of all aspects of art, literature and cinema. A great location for those who are sight seeing and also within Terang. Within metres of supermarket etc. I was arriving by train and Les very kindly met me at the station and deposited me there when I left several days later. The hospitality and warmth shared by Les was totally unanticipated and simply amazing. In between challenging visits with a dearly loved sick relative, Les provided magnificent conversation, kind gestures and friendship to a total stranger that meant so much. I could not more highly recommend all aspects of staying here at the Commercial Hotel.”
