Smoking-friendly vacation rentals in Tulum

The place is very comfortable and spacious, just as displayed in the photos, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. The staff is very responsive and helpful. We had a great time at Alejandro's place.

First, this is not on the beach and not on the city center strip. That is what makes it perfect. It is tranquil and easy. The rooms are beautiful and the complex is awesome. I have seen some reviews complain about construction but best of luck finding something like this where there isn’t construction going on in Mexico - Tulum is thriving and this is where you want to be. Third, Braulio - my goodness you will never find a more helpful, positive, or friendly manager. He can and will do anything. Want an atv in 5 minutes? Done. Run out of gas in the street miles away from a gas station? He’ll get help before you break a sweat. He also knows the best cenotes and thats critical because some are super lame and others are exquisite. Honestly this could be a hole in the wall and I’d stay here again cus of him. Pro tip - no one uses the rooftop pool and it is the warmest and has the best sunsets. Book here.

Stayed for 2.5 weeks and would definitely come back. There’s room for your scooter to be behind a gate, the balcony and roof are great, inside is clean and simple with plenty to cook with in the kitchen. Also had the option of cleaners and fresh towels/sheets weekly. The neighbors dog gets a little annoying, but all in all great stay.

Very nice room with beautiful terrace, hot water!! Everything is made of polished concrete, very very well decorated, very nice! And WiFi at the top, we highly recommend it!

Definitely intimate location to stay in, but accessible to restaurants and other nearby attractions. Pool was nice, wish I was there longer to be in the pool longer.

Florent is an excellent host! Very fast to reply to any questions. The space is very cute. I love that you can open the large glass front doors that over look the street and bring the vibes to you. The rooftop is a nice touch. It was fun to sit up there in the evenings with a beer and talk while enjoying the view of Tulum Centro. The apartment is well stocked with anything you need to enjoy a week or a month in town. They provided extra drinking water! which isn't common in our experience. The only thing I feel obligated to mention is the neighbors dogs. unfortunately if you're in the downstairs bedroom the window directly faces 3 or 4 dogs that bark morning, noon, and night. I feel bad mentioning it, we've stayed in Tulum 3 times so I know Centro can be loud, but I feel it would be a disservice to future renters if I didn't at least mention it. My advice is to use the provided Bluetooth speaker and crank some sleep sounds to try to drown them out. Otherwise it was amazing! 5 stars!

Yep...the other reviewers were right. Amazing superhosts...easy to find and access...all listed amenities; aplenty. It sets you in (to the downtown area) easily. Later I will move elsewhere (larger) but it's great for 1-2 people. Unfortunately, I saw THREE dogs next door and my heart sank thinking the noise is going to just ruin it all. I gave it some time and for being 3 dogs they were NOT that bad; mostly quiet and just when I was going to mention it sometimes, they stopped. Fortunately (jinxproof), that person and the dogs moved anyways after ~2 weeks. It's actually pretty quiet around here mostly. Super cozy place. I'm using the bike a LOT. Unfortunately; the internet went out for an UNGODLY 6.7 days and I'm an online entrepreneur/nomad so it's like lifeblood. I know this was not the hosts fault whatsoever but they did their part AND after the main power grid for it was fixed at 6 days for neighbors, but this wasn't Francisco was a rockstar and hired someone to get on-site-Thx!

We really enjoyed our stay at Yaremis's place, as we felt right at home with its cozy, clean and homey feel. The place was in a nice area where it was walkable to the city center while bike ridable to the ruins. Having a kitchen to cook and store food was extremely helpful. Definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at this place, its truly beautiful and great for a group of people that also want to work from there remotely. Only problem: the internet connection wasnt great all the time, we had some probs with videocalls if it was more than one person at a time. A few things in the apartment were missing (trashbags, cleaning stuff for dishes) (which might have been because we moved in super spontaneously the day of the booking) but were provided after we asked for them. We were able to check in early without any problem. I would recommend renting a car (carrying your suitcases to the house is a lot of work as its not a real street but sandy/stony) and taxi drivers just ask for horrendous prices. If you have a car, its a great area to be in if youre looking for a place to actually spend time in too. Thanks for being so flexible & communicative, would definetely come back!

Excellent place, we had a quiet and pleasant stay, we felt right at home, the house as they publish it very clean and tidy, Claudia was always on the lookout and resolved our concerns very quickly and recommended nice places to have a good time. Over all 10/10.

We highly recommend staying in Nahouse. Despite the neighborhood under construction and the road not yet finished, the Nahouse lodges are a very good setting for a stay in Tulum a little away from the Pueblo. Very good communication with the host who is very responsive.

Great house, super clean and host was very nice. The chef is a must try for the breakfast.

It's a really nice place, neat and comfortable. A little bit far from the center (15min ish by bike)

Jean Paul's condo was a perfect home base for our week-long trip to Tulum. The Xalet community is clean and well-appointed and located (within walking distance) near plenty of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and a large supermarket. Most nights we walked into town for dinner at one of the many tasty options nearby. Jonathan at the front desk at Xalet gave us the contact info for a bike rental delivery, but you could also walk across the street or next door -- there's a ton of options around. If you need a taxi, there's usually a handful waiting for their next fare across the street. The bed was comfortable and the shower was warm (just make sure the circuit for the water heater is turned on). The blackout shades in the bedroom did their magic and the bed was super comfortable. The two ductless A/C units cool the unit perfectly and quickly. Jean Paul was a great host -- immediately responsive and very helpful. We would love to come stay again sometime.

Gabriela is an incredible host- far exceeded expectations! The condo was just like the photos and very clean. It’s in a developing neighborhood with some fantastic nearby restaurants within a short walking distance. There is construction on the street which the host mentions in the posting. It can be noisy most days (except Sunday) but we just put our headphones on and still enjoyed the outdoor spaces. One minute away is a small Cenote! And at least 3 others within travel distance on bikes or a scooter. It is about a 20 minute bike ride to the beach. You can walk to downtown Tulum (15 mins?) from the condo, some directions will lead you through some quite impoverished areas to get there. However, Tulum feels extremely safe and welcoming at all times. We loved our visit and our stay! Immerse yourself in the Mexican culture and you will love it too!

the place was ok, clean , quiet. however, it requires aura by the distance to the place pub to the city. parking under the house. we were happy with the stay. the only thing that does not work is the washing machine.

Guadalupe was always attentive to my questions and resolved the details that came up very kindly. I am so grateful to have stayed there, the place is welcoming, nice, practical and easy to access at all times. Highly recommended :)

This apartment was my favorite vacation. It is perfectly equipped to enjoy your stay in Tulum. We had a peaceful time there, with family and friends. The Amira District residence is very beautiful, fully secured. This ground floor apartment is perfect. We are quiet and the terrace offers us a beautiful outdoor living space. We can enjoy the 4 swimming pools located on the rooftop of the 4 towers of the residence, a real pleasure and a regal to observe the sunset with our feet in the water.

We had an amazing stay at Daniel’s apartment in Tulum! The place was absolutely beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Its location is perfect—close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and beaches, making it super convenient to explore the area. Daniel was a fantastic host, always responsive and helpful whenever we needed anything. We highly recommend staying here and would definitely return on our next trip to Tulum!

Highly recommendable! Very nice stay. Keep in mind that you have no reach here. The roads are very bumpy and there is no Uber. I recommend to rent scooters or bicycles if you do not have a car (if not available by accommodation). Once you know the region, it's super fun!
