We had a lovely stay at Micaela's cosy and welcoming airbnb. We arrived late but Michaela was on hand to meet us which we greatly appreciated. The apartment itself is cosy, clean and ideal for a few nights' stay. Although it is on a ground floor it is very quiet at night and in the morning there are a few passersby but no disturbiung noise - quite the opposite in fact. The location is terrific. San Polo itself is a really lovely area with plenty of places to eat and drink and feels more an area for locals than tourists. The city ferry is a short walk away with access to all the sights. We had such a wonderful time in Venice at Alesia’s place and appreciated her warm heart and her great efforts to make us feel like home. We were able to check-in earlier, we were picked up at the boat station and taken to the apartment personally. The location couldn’t be better, as Rialto bridge is at heart of Venice and from there we could reach other quarters on foot or by boat of which Rialto Mercato or Rialto station is only a few minute walk from the apartment. The fish market is right downstairs so we went buying and cooking fresh food as her kitchen is very well equipped. The apartment is big and has a cozy lovely interior, clean and well ventilated thanks to a lot of windows. Alessia proactively reached out to us to provide help. We even met for a coffee together that made us felt less like tourists in Venice and felt so welcomed. We definitely visit her and her apartment if we come back to Venice again.
