Our cozy yurt is located within minutes of amazing, hiking, biking, skiing, breweries and much more! Relax around the fire while listening to our resident owls or stare up at the stars through the dome. We're centrally located to some of the best hiking and swimming skiing in Central Vermont. Mt Abe and Bartlett's Falls are the closest options. We're also close to civilization with several towns close by to explore for food, drink, art, and shopping. Or travel a bit further to Burlington..

Cozy Country Retreat Close to Town

Wake up to the sounds of nature, a cup of coffee on the porch, or cozied up by the fire with a book. Prepare simple meals in the kitchenette, or head out to local restaurants within a ten minute drive. Enjoy being comfortable while close to nature. Guests love the comfortable bed, and the pullout futon makes it an affordable option for families. Nearby walking trails, swimming holes, mountain biking, gravel biking out the door, and cross-country ski areas nearby. Fire pit with wood provided.

Grandview Yurt

The Grandview Yurt at Hogback Homestead is nestled into the mountains of Vermont. It features beautiful views, and is a minimalist and peaceful alternative to the more populated resort towns. The kitchenette is basic but provides the necessities, and the restroom is an outdoor sawdust style composting toilet. Electricity is supplied via a small off grid solar array, suitable for light electrical use (charging computers and electronics, powering lights etc). Please provide your own bedding!

Adventure Yurt - Explore Vermont's Catamount Trail

If you're into backcountry exploring & doing things on skis, snow-shoes or mountain bikes, our yurt is a fabulous jumping off point for you. Situated a stone's throw from Section 17 of the Catamount Trail, VT's end-to-end x-country ski trail, you will discover both moderate and advanced adventures here. Rugged but cozy, our yurt warms up quickly thanks to its resident "Aspen" wood stove. Add a charming outhouse, farm pump, deck & picnic table to the picture, and you'll be camping in style.

Remote Cozy Yurt with Sunset Views

Enjoy some time in a secluded yurt nestled in a quiet valley with spectacular sunset views. It comfortably sleeps 4, but can accommodate more. There is a bathhouse with an outdoor shower, compost toilet, and sink. Complete with propane stovetop, grill, and all necessary kitchenware. Stays in colder months will enjoy the warmth and comfort of a wood stove. Guests can also enjoy a small trail system on property for exercise or leisure. The Yurt In The Woods is 30 ft in diameter - 700 spacious sq. ft. It's surrounded by trees and has a yard. 2 night stays required for Weekends. October 6th and 12th are currently vacant if you want a fall foliage trip.
