Beautiful, incredibly well stocked cottage. Great place to relax. I barely left the property! Outdoor bath a highlight

We were very comfortable at Wombat Cottage. The amenities were of high quality and the cottage was equipped with an eye for detail. We enjoyed our chat with Stuart at the coffee shop over the road run by him and his partner, which serves great coffee.

Relaxing feel. Comfortable bed. Generous bath and shower with quality products. The kitchen is well equipped and everything has been cleverly planned. Pantry staples are supplied. The wood fire is easy to use and there is plenty of wood available. There is an IGA close by for essentials. The town of Zeehan has its own history and a curious charm. Plenty to explore or a perfect place to not do anything at all. Melissa’s description of the place is so accurate, there’s nothing else to say. A really good, responsive host.

We had a lovely peaceful stay in Waratah. We saw platypus at 10 am the second day! We visited the museum, had pizzas Friday night at the hotel, walked down to the waterfall viewing platform. The short drive to Philosophers Falls was well worth it; the walk down to the viewing point took us through a magical part of Tarkine forest. We didn’t drive to Corinna as originally planned, because the friendly quiet town of Waratah was not to be missed!
