This Mid-Century treasure is the perfect location for your trip to Des Moines. Your home away from home is centrally located to Downtown and the East Village, the Western Suburbs and Jordan Creek Mall, and Drake University. It features a super comfortable queen-size bed plus a fold-down sofa, Satellite/Roku TV in the Living room and bedroom, wireless internet, a full kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, and on-site laundry.
“This home is so wonderful! I loved the original wood paneling, light fixtures, and kitchen counters & hardware. So much mid century style! I stayed here for a couple days working from the dining room table. I felt like I was on a work away from the office retreat! It was a perfect setting to work in and social distance at the same time. I was also able to sleep well in the comfortable bed. I could easily stay here again and can highly recommend it! Thank you Jeff & Ingrid for your hospitality!!”
Guests will have a private finished room in the basement. The bed is an IKEA sofa pull-out bed with a mattress and memory foam on top. There is a private toilet and sink in the rooms connected to the basement room. We are located 5 minutes (walk) from some great walking, running, & biking trails. We are also only 12 minutes from the Des Moines International Airport.
“Great place! Stay here! Will be returning if I have the chance. Awesome people. Quiet and respectful. 10 of 10 hands down. 💯”

We live in the rear of the house and will give you as much space as you need.
“Tina and Tom are amazingly hospitable. We also got to share some love with their two sphinx babies, and even their furry, older cat. The place was clean. The hot tub outside was nice and hot, even with the weather only being 10 degrees and snowy! Our room was nice and private as needed, but we also had wonderful conversations with our hosts. I would definitely like to come back in the summer to fully enjoy their outdoor lounge. Their home is beautiful. Tina is a Pinterest fiend and Tom is quite the artist. There were so many things I loved about the house and property.”
