Family-friendly vacation rentals in Westerkwartier

Wonderful cottage, no matter which window you look, you only see greenery. We were there with four adults and twins (10 months old). Very clean and no unnecessary stuff which was very suitable for babies. The heating in the rooms takes longer to get warm, in winter you probably have to use the fireplace more heavily. The kitchen is not necessarily equipped for cooking 5-course menus, but everything necessary is available. Too bad it was over so quickly!

We had a fantastic weekend at 't Holthus! An oasis of peace, surrounded by beautiful nature and with all the comfort you could wish for. The cottage was stylishly furnished, sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. The hot tub was of course a highlight. The warm welcome and personal touches of the owners made our stay extra special. Perfect for recharging for a while.

The place is in a great location and offers a silence that is like no other. Really excellent for a secluded getaway! We had booked the accommodation spontaneously for one night, as our actual accommodation was overbooked. The owners responded incredibly quickly after we were able to contact them through the neighbors. Without their intervention, we wouldn't have known where to find a place to stay that night. Great place in a very quiet location The" whirlpool" outside was especially great In the evening, to relax after beautiful but strenuous cycling tours at least 36 degrees under the stars.

Beautiful home with amazing views and location. Recommend walking through the village.. friendly people and wonderful atmosphere.

We had a really nice stay of three nights in Hiaure at the “koetshuis”. The little house is very cozy and the surroundings are so peaceful. We found everything we needed to make meals and we enjoyed the hottub while looking at the stars at night. 10/10 would visit again!

We had a short but great stay in Hein's brinkstee. Beautiful and clean accommodation and fully met the description and needs. super friendly and correct, and gave good tips for exploring the area. Recommended and also good for larger groups. Stefan

Had a wonderful stay with Barbera and Jurjen. Due to the orientation of the cottage, you have the idea that you are staying all alone in the middle of nature. In the morning, you wake up to the stork of the storks on their nests, and in the morning sun you can enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of the area. Earnewald is within walking distance of the cottage and offers the much needed amenities. Wonderful stay, highly recommended!

We stayed here for Christmas and New Year. It is a very cozy cottage. Sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. Marlies had taken the trouble to decorate the cottage in Christmas atmospheres. There was even a Christmas tree. She also had a delicious Christmas turban at the bakery. We really felt at home. We had some bad luck with the weather but you can walk here with various excursions within walking distance. Maybe not the cheapest place to stay but really worth the money.

A lovely retreat surrounded by farm animals. Perfect to start/finish the first couple of legs from the Pieterpad.

This was the sweetest and most charming Airbnb mountain we've ever had. There was so much personality, so much spirit of Kitty and Erik in every room, every item we loved. Obviously flea market goers with an eye for what's special - just like we are! Everything very clean, with even everything on site to make yourself a plentiful first breakfast and more. The stairs up are very steep, but well secured, and our 70-year-old joints were also quick to get out. We really enjoyed these days and it was like coming home every time. Thanks for everything! We had a wonderful stay at this fantastic house! It is really perfectly appointed – everything you need is there, and it is super clean and spacious. The house is a real retreat to relax with lots of great extras such as the boat, whirlpool and perfectly equipped kitchen. The location is just ideal and our children felt very comfortable there – they even fell asleep quickly, which speaks for the comfort. Overall an absolute dream that we would book again at any time. Highly recommended!

Lydia is a wonderful host. Easy to talk with and very flexible. Lovely tiny house outside, perfect to be alone and focus on ourselves. Even if the bathroom is in the house in front of the garden, it's very cosy and clean. I can't imagine during summertime, it seems perfect.

beautiful historic house in the heart of downtown, finely and tastefully furnished, everything as described, excellent cleanliness and excellent check-in experience. The surroundings are very tidy and quiet, a true oasis of tranquility. Excellent communication with the host, really recommended

Lovely few days felt like a home away from home

We had a nice stay on Nova Cura. The place was perfect for us 11 girls and the location is great - restaurants, bars and supermarkets are within walking distance. We highly recommend this:-)

Nice and cozy house in a secluded spot with gezellige outdoor tables. We even managed to take our son out with the sled from the shed on the one snowy day we had. The hostess was very friendly and helpful and always responded quickly.

I stayed with Gerard for the second time. Gerard lives next door and is easy to reach for you, yet you have absolutely your privacy. If you are looking for a break in the rural Netherlands, this is exactly what you are looking for. The listing is also perfect with the dog as Gerard is very dog friendly. The area is great for long gas laps. Then head to the warm jacuzzi. Wasn't the last time there....

It was a great stay during New Year's eve. Very relaxing and very nice cozy camp site.
