Located off Highway 80 on 5 acres near the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounded by nearby hiking trails and the gorgeous Celo Knob and South Toe River. Closest towns are Burnsville (15 min) & Spruce Pine (20 min). Super close to Camp Celo, Mt Mitchell, Waterfall hikes, Penland, Arthur Morgan School.

1920's cottage. Relax & enjoy amazing mtn. views, 200 acres of trails, woods, pastures, farm, & fields. HURRICANE HELENE: TRAILS ARE NOT COMPLETELY ACCESSIBLE NOW DUE TO HELENE. Our trails & woods have been ravaged with 100's of trees down. Many trails are still not cleared. Our 1.5 mile upper ridge trail loop and one river trail are now open. Pastures and fields are mostly cleared and all areas around the cottage are completely cleared with amazing long range views of fields and mountains.

Our tiny house is located on our 2 acre homestead, where we garden and raise chickens, ducks, heritage rabbits & Nigerian dwarf goats. As a Super Host, I welcome back all my new and past guests and recommend you come and relax in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina at the cozy Cane River Chalet studio apartment. Now Burnsville is open for business again. This wonderful location has breathtaking views of the mountains. We finally got our road repaired, which was very costly. We have the Bare Dark Sky Observatory in Burnsville. Stargazers are welcome at the Earth to Sky Park when the Observatory is closed.

River Relaxation

Our cabin is in the woods just up the hill from the river. The river is great for wading and fishing. There is also picnic areas at the river with chairs, tables, fire pits, and plenty of trees to hang a hammock. This property has a main house. The parking area and the cabin are on the lower level of the house. There is a sidewalk that goes past the house to the cabin. The cabin has it's own private area with a side yard, outdoor furniture and a firepit.
