A beaaitiful secret hideaway, crafted with love and creativity. Very convenient for central York, with a supermarket and take-outs just minutes away, but within the property itself, a chance to rest, renew and be inspired. Wendy and Fynn were incredibly warm hosts, and the number of thoughtful touches in both the design and facilities, were so appreciated. I had an incredibly comfortable sleep, with a generous breskfast in the garden, warm shower and great range of books to choose from! WiFi is good if reqiired. The visitors' book is testament to the number of happy solo travellers who have appreciated the opportunity to unwind. For the price of a Premier Inn, why not add in a magical adventure?

Gavin and Rachel were excellent hosts. They were so warm and welcoming and couldn't have done enough for us, we had some travel issues on our way and they were very understanding and accommodating. Their place is secure, beautifully decorated and cosy. It is clean and has great amenities and resources, it is also very true to description. The bed is comfy and the living room area is relaxing too, the property also feels safe and secure. The location to York town is also excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

What a beautiful place! Just what it said on the tin! Within walking distance of everything you would want to see in York. (Maximum time about 8 minutes to popular destinations) Right opposite a Tesco express and Sainsbury’s for all those little bits you need. Chris quick to respond to texts. Would definitely recommend. Warm, comfortable, welcoming.

Can’t fault this stay. Great location within easy walking distance of the city centre on a street which we would otherwise not have discovered. Independent shops, restaurants and right above Robinson’s, the most delicious cafe with queues every morning. Accommodation and facilities as described, comfortable and clean. Will was extremely helpful and very responsive to queries. Would recommend.
