The Host Dianne was a great host and very responsive in communications. Went above and beyond and made you feel very welcome. She was never in the way but always there when needed. Perfect mix. The Accommodation There is a parking space for 1 car right next to the accommodation. The whole place was spotlessly clean with ample space, clear instructions and local recommendations. There was a gift of wine and gingerbread cake which went down a treat (thank you Dianne). Every little detail had been thought about in terms of being home away from home which was a bonus and made life easier and more relaxing. There was a plethora amount of things for children of all ages like board games, toys (indoor and outdoor), and also table football. Outside there was a trampoline and a little park for children with the addition of a boat to play on which went down a treat with my 3 year old. Its in the middle of nowhere but easily accessible with views to die for. We will 100% return in the future.

A beautiful, well appointed (spotless) stone cottage in a remote moorland location, but 5 mins walk from a train station and a short drive to Hawes. The host's have ensured that the cottage includes everything you'll need; there's a modern bathroom and kitchen, and the log burning stove keeps you cosy at night. And the welcome pack of provisions was a fabulous bonus. We all really enjoyed our stay in this lovely place. Thank you Sally and Tony.

A gorgeous cottage, spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Hawes is a busy place, understandably with its setting and attractiveness, but Mabels Cottage has the benefit of just being out of the centre enough (but only about 200 yards or so) that it's quiet and peaceful. I have never brushed my teeth with such a stunning view (looking over fields of drystone walls, lambs and towards Buttertubs Pass), that from now on its going to revert to a mundane task rather than a pleasure! Mabels Cottage is highly recommended, and if you are thinking of visiting Hawes then I doubt you'll find anywhere better.
