Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ashe County

The listing said it had a really well stocked kitchen and sometimes Airbnb listing's say that but they don't. This one is above and beyond. everything about this place is wonderful from the views to the fireplace to the comfy beds and furniture. The hosts were always very quick and helpful in responding to questions. I think it's absolutely well worth the price and we will absolutely be coming back

We enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again. The home was exactly as described. The instructions for check-in and expectations while there were easy to follow. Our fur baby enjoyed the gates for the porch and fenced in yard. The location was ideal— just far enough out of town that it’s peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed mornings on the porch. The home is a short drive from Boone. We even visited Blowing Rock and West Jefferson during our stay. Megan was responsive and made our stay smooth and enjoyable.

What a beautiful mountain get away!! The cabin was very clean, smelled great, and very cozy. We loved spending time on the porches taking in the fresh air. We also loved how secluded the area was with beautiful scenery leading up to the house. Had a great time exploring West Jefferson!

loved our stay! great location, only about 45 minutes from Grayson highlands state Park to go see wild ponies. The property also along the New River, so we brought our inflatable paddle boards and went for a short paddle up river and then floated back down (don't recommend unless you are experienced with river paddling safety). Everything about our stay was wonderful and we hope to stay again in the future

Great spot for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. Owners are great at communication and easily accessible. We can't wait to stay again!

The home and grounds were pristine, private and beautiful. We enjoyed the space for our animals and family to spread out and then come back to together. The fire area outside with the hot tub was a huge win for the grandkids. The inside was perfectly appointed and well stocked. We will return here as a family! Perfect fit for our big growing family.

Home is well furnished and very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with all essentials needed for cooking/meal prep. The property is in a beautiful county setting....lit ooks like a painting. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great stay in downtown West Jefferson. Walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants and stores. Clean and a great place to stay a few days.

Kathy and Jim were superb host who made us feel at home!! Kathy stayed in touch with us throughout the stay and made sure we had everything we needed. She also let us know about places to eat and visit. They were GREAT, even offered to drop us off and pick us up from the Wedding Venue we attended because I was a little nervous to drive on snow and ice. Everything was neat and very clean with your everyday items a person needs when you stay away from home. (Kitchen and Coffee Bar were fully stocked). We would highly recommend this venue and the host. Perfect place to stay in JEFFERSON, NC.

Great new Airbnb in beautiful West Jefferson. The space is so tastefully decorated with great use of space. Very close to charming downtown. Cari even left us a gift card for Blue Deer which was just across the street!

Walnut Hill was wonderful! Its was exactly what our party needed for the long weekend. The rental company was top notch! We had a water issue and they sent someone to fix it at 6:30 in the morning so it wouldn’t mess up our plans for the day. I couldn’t say enough good things about the rental company.

This bottom floor apartment was in a gorgeous, quiet neighborhood that was close to all the West Jefferson places we like to visit. It was clean and organized. I loved the little “extra thoughtful amenities” that were available if you forgot things from home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch drinking coffee relaxing while two hummingbirds hovered for a minute.

We enjoyed our stay, one of the main reasons we choose this location was it is walkable to West Jefferson. Plenty of space to feel at home, very clean with everything you need. Loved the mcm look and the hardwood floors. Mark was very informative with all communication. We would definitely stay again.

This was our second year at Sugar mountain and first time at Allan’s place! The kitchen was well stocked and I was able to bake my homemade treats. Lots of pots and pans for your stay! The place was very spacious and the view well it’s just immaculate. Would stay again! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Definitely a cozy place to stay! Everything was clean and extra stuff were provided. The sofa bed was not as comfortable for older people like me or my friend, but the bed was a dream to sleep in cause our backs didn't hurt by morning! Amazing! And the view out the window is spectacular! We love the balcony which you get to see the summit of Sugar Mountain as well as the town to the north. Easy walk to the ski slope that we did for a day hike in April. The checkout is one of the most simplest to do. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone's trip to Sugar Mountain!

Nicole’s place was absolutely phenomenal. We arrived in torrential downpour in the middle of the night. She’d left lights on for us and getting in was easy. The incredible hot showers that followed, even more so. The master bath has the best water pressure, ever. The resort is stunning, quiet and safe. We were able to go out and explore the property which is so dreamy! About 15 minutes outside of App State made it easy to get in and out of town for the Graduation we were in town for. Nicole’s condo is well-equipped, labels and notes everywhere which is super helpful. Plenty of extras like bandaids, feminine hygeine products and even towels for spills. Lots of communication which was so nice and reassuring. Perfect accommodations, easy to get in and out. The slider and porch were lovely.

Trey’s place hit all the marks for what I needed - clean, cozy, comfy, and affordable. Bonus points for an amazing loose leaf tea selection, gorgeous mountain views at sunrise and sunset, and close to everything I wanted to do in the area. (Grandfather Mtn, Linville Falls, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster were on my list - did them all in a day.) All instructions were clear and easy, and I had everything I needed for an enjoyable weekend away in the NC mountains. Go stay here and support western NC!! I hope to come back again soon :)

A great get away. The condo had everything we needed. Super clean, comfortable and well stocked. Highly recommend for a getaway. So many things to do/see

Though it’s close to the main road, you need four-wheel drive in winter to get to this condo. We got stuck and could not reach the condo- ended up driving to the next town for snow chains as that was the only way to get there. It’s a nice place and very close to Beech Mountain but important to be aware of accessibility in winter.

Fabby is a wonderful host! The beautiful unit was well stocked with everything we needed. I see the care Fabby puts into making guests very comfortable for their stay. We adored being so close to the slopes. We could see the chair lift from the balcony. I highly recommend this location. We would love to return.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.
