Cabin vacation rentals in Ben Ohau

This was our return visit to Skylark Cabin and it was even better than the previous! The cabin is spotless, the outdoor bath is amazing, all facilities and amenities that Garry & Liz provide are plentiful and awesome. Already planning the next trip!

Stayed at The Huts, hut 6 specifically which had an AMAZING view of the lake and mountains. So beautiful it felt like it was a living picture frame. Having the tub to soak in underneath the milky way after a long day of hiking was just magic. Even with Tekapo springs within walking distance (which was great), it tends to get busy so it was perfect to also have the option of a quiet and relaxing soak all to ourselves. Great amenities and superb location. Just the right size for 2. Easy and friendly check in/out. Hope to be back soon!

If you’re visiting Twizel, don’t miss this cottage! 友友们真的不要错过这个小木屋！！就是我们梦想中小木屋的样子！！！房东把房屋维护的超好，非常干净！！超舒服！住了不想走的地步！！！房子里的设施都很齐全，想自己做饭或者用咖啡机、洗衣服干啥的都有相应的设施和说明，感觉可以住一辈子(๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

David & Toni's accommodation was just so special. What a lot of care has been taken to make such a unique place to stay. Absolutely top notch, a special gem and we will be back. As for hosts, David & Toni were the best hosts I ever encountered. The outdoor baths were superb! Just the most special weekend ever! Thanks guys!!

An absolutely beautiful little slice of paradise hidden away in the mountains! Well equipped kitchen, luxe linens, and the outdoor tub was just incredible after a long day’s drive! We only wished we had more time here!! Incredible stay!

Peak View Cabin is a perfect place to stay, full of amenities you will need to make yourself at home. The surroundings are beautiful and a totally private space for you to just relax and enjoy the NZ landscape!

We stayed at fantail lodge for four nights as a small getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We were looking for something peaceful and relaxing and within easy reach of the hydro canals for a bit of fishing. The lodge ticked all our boxes. It is a lovely well built log cabin surrounded by pine trees right at the far end of a road about 2km from Twizel centre. The living area is very comfortable and has a lovely log burner that we made good use of. The bathroom was beautifully clean and the shower was awesome. The kitchen area facilities have everything you need to prepare a meal on site which we did on a couple of occasions and the bed in the room we chose was very comfortable. We loved our few days stay at the lodge and it’s amazing to think Christine actually had a hand in building the lodge learning new skills as she went. If you are looking for a quiet, restful place to use as a base to visit the Mackenzie country the lodge is just the place. We’ll definitely be back.

Ruataniwha Hut is such a beautiful spot! Coming from a country area in aus ourselves, we have a special appreciation for the beauty and the peacefulness of this place 😊 The hut was so cosy, had everything we needed and made for a perfect stay whilst travelling around the area. Huge credit to Andrew who has put in so much effort to make this place special!

Great little cabin in an amazing location. Had all the amenities we needed to enjoy the Temple Valley. Incredible views over the mountain ranges and lots to explore. There is one other cabin on the property with views to the North - in hindsight we would probably have gone for that one, so we would suggest looking at both to work out which is best for you.
