Stuart and Lynda gave us very clear instructions to get to the place and it is one of the most beautiful stays we have been in. The drive is amazing and the walks from the backyard are great as well. It is easy to get to if you drive and is 30-40 mins away from most famous Lake District hikes. Definitely would recommend

We had the most amazing stay at the cottage. We went there after running the London Marathon, for some much needed rest and recuperation, and the cottage and location delivered. The location is so peaceful with beautiful views in all directions. The cottage is immaculate inside, with everything you could need. Lisa was a brilliant host and very responsive and accommodating. We can’t get over how good it was to be honest so we will definitely be back, one of our favourite trips away. Our dog loved it too! The Newfield Inn pub up the road does a fabulous gammon, and had really lovely staff. Only a short walk up the road. Thanks for having us Lisa xx

My family of 4 adults had a lovely stay at Ali's cottage. It is quite original and twee, set in a twee little village but has all the modern amenities one needs for a comfortable stay. You need a car to explore the beautiful lake district especially if you only spend a few days there, and Ali's place is a good cosy base. It suited our family who wanted a peaceful location not over-touristy or crowded. We didn't try the local eateries as we have dietary intolerances, but were able to get our food supplies from a supermarket in Millom (about 7 miles away). We were lucky to have fine mild weather during our stay, but wished we had a longer stay as there are so many lovely places in the lake district we would like to visit. We hope to come back sometime in the near future and will look up Ali's place again. Thanks Ali for a delightful stay!

Lovely stay at Lind end cottage, beautiful scenery and a cosy cottage. Janet was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome and at home, thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with Janet. Nice and quiet and out of the way but still within a small driving distance from Coniston or Windermere. Will definitely be looking to come and stay again.
