Had a fantastic stay- our focus was hiking at Starved Rock and it was perfect for that. We’re thinking of a summer trip to kayak now as well. The townhouse is very cozy and the dining table was great for playing games with the family. Beds are comfortable and rooms are large. Our kid was excited to use the big jacuzzi tub for bath time. Plenty of counter space to cook together. Recommend bringing foil or plastic wrap as there is none available. Will need to have all ingredients on hand- there are no supplies left from previous guests with things like oil/Pam. Big grocery options are just a short drive away though. For those with electric cars, the Flying J has good level 2 chargers-not as fast as described in listings though. Saw Tesla chargers at the HyVee as well.

Our stay here was genuinely amazing. The property was peaceful and quiet and my family and I were able to connect and bond through the weekend because the hosts thought of everything. The pergola has a beautiful view over the lake, the hot tub was well maintained, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. Would 100% recommend a stay here, you definitely get your moneys worth!

Second stay here. It is a beautiful space, and the perfect getaway for several people. I especially appreciate the hot tub and game room when staying with teenagers.

We stayed for several days to visit our student at IC. Easy to get too, close to town. Pretty property. Perfect size for 2 people. Pristine and well equipped with everything we needed. Very cozy. Highly recommend. I have already booked 2 future stays. Thanks

The cabin was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. Megan and Michael were great hosts and responded quickly to all questions. It was a perfect little getaway that we needed. We were even able to bring our dog! The very sweetly decorated the cabin for valentine's day and made us feel more than welcome. I would definitely stay here again.

We were needing a private feeling place with a great view just outside of the busy life and this place fit our wants very well. we greatly need a lil vaca in a stay like this. Great hidden gem in our eye's. We will definitely be asking to rent again down the road 😁

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lake Paradise cabin. Everything was very clean and well cared for. There were quite a few games and puzzles that our kids enjoyed, which is super helpful when you can't bring everything with you! The bunk room does have the furnace in it, so it was pretty warm, but the kids didn't seem to mind it. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a little bit. Check-in and out was easy, and Gary helped us out right away when we had an issue getting the Roku working! We'll happily come back and stay again, and would especially like to experience the outdoor space when the weather is a little nicer!

Nice place, perfect for us! Lots to do around the house and outside areas. Our twin 6 year olds loved the rope course, outside slide, soccer goals, foosball table, etc... they just couldn't get enough of all the fun things/activities to do inside/outside the house. Highly recommended from them!

Cabin was a great Christmas Getaway. We absolutely loved the Christmas decor and how cozy it was. We will be renting again in the summer!

We had a great time at the cottage. We loved the log cabin and stone fire place. It was so cozy and peaceful to have a fire going inside. Host was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Christmas in the Cozy Cabin this year was terrific. Clean, convenient, and a host who provided exactly what we needed. This was our third visit... And we'll be back!

This is our third stay at Scout Cabin on Pleasant Farm. There is plenty to do (nature center, fun local restaurants, National Historic Register spots, covered bridges and especially the tranquility of the front porch and lookout observation tower nearby). Didn’t make it to the maze or viaduct near Bloomfield - next trip! Thank you for a lovely, serene stay!

We had a great stay. The cabin was quaint and cozy. It was clean and there was plenty of toiletries. We appreciated the assortment of Keurig pods. Our kids enjoyed the game room as well as the Legos and other random games and cards. We felt safe in the area and the proximity to attractions was great. The host was very responsive. There were bad storms one night and th host gave us a heads up that night and also checked with us the next day to make sure there wasn't any issues. I would highly recommend staying here!

This was a great experience for a mini spring break for a family of four. We wanted to relax and stay in. There were ample kitchen supplies to make cooking in easy. The decor and feel of the cabin was adorable. The trains ended up being a really fun experience! There’s a ton of space outside and if the weather had been better we would have been able to spend more time playing yard games, using the outdoor fireplace and the decks. I would recommend for a unique, relaxing experience.

We stayed at Tammy's place for the first time a few years ago. We fell in love in the cabin. This time around, we wanted a similar getaway and immediately booked Tammy's place again. We love everything about Tammy's place. Clean, comfy, private. We will definitely be back.

This is a lovely location for a vacation. It is a bit distant from the city, but we had a great time there. It has a large lot and provides excellent privacy. There are three levels, including the basement, and we can be out from each level easily. Robyn is very attentive and accommodating. We needed a large pan because we intended to cook spaghetti. We asked Robyn, and she brought a few, but they were still small. To our surprise, she went to the nearest town to buy a brand new one. One of the TVs was not connecting, and she offered to bring a new TV. She is truly kind. Additionally, she arranged free wood and fuel for the firepit in the backyard. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and had a lot of fun with the kids. we would be fine with staying there again.

This was my 3rd stay at Lynda's. I love the river, deck and especially the firepit! The cabin is cozy and well kept. I'll be back for another stay in the spring. My favorite place 😍

outdoors man's paradise!! this place is a "Turn key" operation from the time you walk up the steps and punch in the door code. everything you need and more, it's like your own home. it will survive a tornado because I was in it when it came through st. Charles and the place will stay warm too because the following morning it snowed 🤷‍♂️ I WILL BE BACK!! THANK YOU AGAIN TO MONICA THE HOST FOR PROVIDING SUCH PEACE AND PEACE OF MIND WITH SHARING THEIR PROPERTY TO US. I left some seasoning behind as a small gift for that unsuspecting soul that thinks they have everything 😘✌️❤️
