Vacation rentals with lake access in Central Illinois

My family stayed at River’s Edge and River’s Edge ll for a family function in the area. Our only disappointment was that we weren’t making the trip to just stay at the properties themselves for a beautiful, peaceful get-away. Everything was wonderful, beautiful decor all throughout the homes and the spacious decks. Updated and well appointed kitchens and bathrooms the most comfortable beds. We will definitely be back to simply enjoy!

Platypus Hills is a superb retreat! The home was perfectly equipped, clean and so comfortable! Danielle, Susie, Nancy & Dawn are perfect hosts! Available and friendly but respectful of your privacy. The setting is idyllic and provided me and friends a peaceful and relaxing get away that left us refreshed and re-energized. Just loved our time! Thank you all!

Very pleasant stay over Thanksgiving while visiting family. Quiet, peaceful lake setting (even though it was very cold out and no swimming in the lake at 20 degrees!).. It was a good place to rest after the noise and activity of our large family 3 day gathering!

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Photos do not do this place justice its absolutely beautiful. Additionally, this was a fully stocked kitchen trashbags, paper towels and coffee it was so nice not having to run to the store immediately. The layout is awesome and the lake view is gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend.

Great place to stay for a long weekend. Very comfortable and had a great wrap around deck and views from the loft of Peoria Lake. Would stay again if the opportunity arose.

What an awesome stay! Karen was an excellent host, giving us local recommendations, leaving lots of snacks/wine, and always quick to message me back! Her place was so cozy and in such a beautiful location, with the beach being just a few steps away. She had great amenities including AC, a smart TV, and a very functional kitchen. We would recommend this airbnb to anybody looking for a beachside getaway!

My little boys and I loved our stay. My boys loved feeding the goats and looking at the chickens and peacocks. We also loved having fresh eggs for breakfast. It was perfect for our trip.

The place as very cute and just what we needed for a weekend away. The neighborhood was very quiet too. It is a short walk to the lake and if we come back in warmer weather we would spend more time at the water. There were some quirky things about the place, but it is a very old building and we didn't mind. We will keep this on our list of places to stay.

Wonderful location outside of Terre Haute. Roomy place for 5 people. We all enjoyed fishing in the lovely pond and playing pool in the large living area. The deck was enjoyable with the fire pit and a grill. We will definitely try to return next year.

Excellent place, very quiet, pleasant, the area is nice. The place has everything you need, it is spacious, and private, easy check in, a kitchen with the essentials.

My family had a wonderful time at this beautiful, magical farm. We loved meeting the animals and enjoying the outdoor space. I was quite taken with a cute family of ducks who would wander the property, quacking cute ducky things to each other. The weather is still pretty chilly, so we really enjoyed the fire pit in the evening. The renovated milk house space was perfect. There were many small touches that made the space feel personal and comfortable. The kitchen was well appropriated and we were easily able to prepare meals when we didn’t want to eat out. Also! The fresh eggs Susan left for us were next level amazing. We’d definitely like to stay again!

Tony was a great host. Communication was quick, accommodations were clean, and the place was very cute. Tony was always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The homemade cookies were a plus. Would recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Neon Dunes cottage. The cottage was the perfect retreat for a quick getaway. It was exactly as described—ideal for a small family—offering a cozy, homey atmosphere with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The location was fantastic: just minutes from the beach and conveniently close to the entrance of the Indiana Dunes national park, making it easy to head out for a hike. We also appreciated how close we were to Chicago, allowing us to squeeze in a quick trip to the city. Overall, the cottage offers a great price, a prime location, and a charming, relaxing space. We would definitely recommend it and would love to return!
