Great stay at Catherine's! I highly recommend this place for travelers looking for a family-friendly, peaceful and green place. We were warmly welcomed. Numerous activities are possible even with small children.

Wonderful stay! The house is equipped with all comforts, very quiet and relaxing stay here. Furthermore, you are very quickly on the beach or in cities nearby. There is an organic market on Saturdays. Beautiful domain where you can walk and of course a swimming pool ! We really enjoyed our week here.

Accommodation and impeccable if you have a wife and a child if and very clean the only thing missing is a shower curtain but the rest is perfect

You can come and spend a few days in Martine's house, very well hosted, good communication with the hosts in a well-appointed space

We had a pleasant stay. The setting is relaxing, it is a privilege to be able to observe the wildlife, and to have as neighbors ducks, koi carp, cuckoo, hares... Happiness is at the edge of the pond certainly. An environment to appreciate at its best, with calm and discretion!

Catherine and Michel are available and very kind. We chose their outbuilding as part of the FIBD. Although a little out of the way, their cozy and warm accommodation was quite accessible using buses (15min from Angouleme train station) throughout the festival. A big thank you!

Catherine is a great hostess. She is very friendly and very helpful and has given us valuable tips for day trips, restaurants and attractions of the area. Was always very accessible, either in person or by phone. The apartment is beautiful and very well furnished and very quiet due to its location. Remaining equipment can be reached in minutes. The apartment is absolutely recommendable for guests who are not looking for a standard apartment. The village of Talmot-sur-Gironde is suitable for a relaxing holiday. However, for activities and other activities (bakery, shopping, etc.) you need a car.

Overnight stay with Myriam at Myriam's. Very good communication beforehand. Very welcoming host and available if needed (which was not our case because everything worked very well). Very quiet,very clean and functional studio with everything you need. Very nice bedding. A very nice stay whose contact details we treasure in order to visit the area. Thanks a lot

Accessible accommodation in the city center, pleasant and clean

Almost don’t want to say how lovely, as will make it more competitive to book to go back! In a word - glorious! - The gite, gardens and grounds and pool are kept beautifully. Gite was spotless and very well equipped (including lots of goodies on arrival, garden games to use there - kids were very happy - charcoal ready for the bbq etc), huge comfortable beds, and wood fired hot tub to sit and look at the stars. - Stunning surrounding views (endless fields of sunflowers) and lovely shady woods to be walk. - Lots of pretty villages - particularly Aubeterre with its central square and river beach worth the short drive (under 20 mins). We also loved the big river beach at St Aulaye (c.40 mins). - Meg and Mark are kind, fun and knowledgeable hosts who were perfect balance of around and incredibly helpful - but very much left us to just relax and enjoy the gite/pool as our own. - Shopping v easy at local supermarkets, various markets and nearby village shop/butchers. Thank you!!

Louise and Mickael made us feel very welcome, plus a bottle of white wine and cool beers! Very nice! We had a pleasant week of vacation at Moulin Chaillou. We were able to enjoy the pool, which the kids loved (4 years and 1 year). All shops are nearby, the beach is 45 minutes away, as well as the aquarium, etc. If you need anything, do not hesitate, Louise and Mickael are there to meet your needs.

Great for a short stay in a beautiful part of France! The host instructions re. local amenities and activities are super helpful given the relatively remote location.

Nice place, for those who like peace and quiet... very nice swimming pool

We had an wonderful time. The house was great and the garden is huge with an orchard in the next field which we could access. It is an absolutely beautiful place. We were made to feel very at home by Laetitia, Thierry and family (they were in the main house for some days of our stay and the rest of the time we were alone on the vast property). They were extremely generous about letting us use games and canoes etc and could not have been more welcoming to us. The surrounding area is very beautiful and peaceful. The river is nearby and there are lots of possible areas for swimming as well as walking. We really enjoyed visits to Angouleme and Cognac and other pretty villages. Most of all we enjoyed sitting in the garden reading and relaxing and going running in small largely deserted roads around the house. It was a really lovely holiday and I would definitely recommend this highly and fully hope to go back again.
