Excellent communication and instructions for entering Baugh Fell View. Absolutly top class facilities. Including log fire for cosy night in. Lovely location and superb views and walks where by maps are provided. Comprehensive books and literature for walks, places to visit near and far. Highly recommended accommodation for a wonderful stay. Yes a return visit a must.

A gorgeous cottage, spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Hawes is a busy place, understandably with its setting and attractiveness, but Mabels Cottage has the benefit of just being out of the centre enough (but only about 200 yards or so) that it's quiet and peaceful. I have never brushed my teeth with such a stunning view (looking over fields of drystone walls, lambs and towards Buttertubs Pass), that from now on its going to revert to a mundane task rather than a pleasure! Mabels Cottage is highly recommended, and if you are thinking of visiting Hawes then I doubt you'll find anywhere better.

My partner and I stayed in the studio for 2 weeks while working in the area. Viv and her husband Ernie, were wonderful, kind, thoughtful hosts and I had some great chats especially with Ernie. The property is on the grounds of their farmhouse home set in beautiful rural East Cumbria, just a stone's throw across the river from Sedbergh. The property itself was clean and cosy and has most requirements for a comfortable stay.

We stayed over Easter weekend with two teenage kids and three dogs. This place is such a great find and exactly what we were looking for so that we could all spend a long weekend together. The cottage has everything you'd need and we loved being able to light the fire on a nighttime. I'd never been to Deepdale before and wow, it's stunningly beautiful. Sitting on the wall in the fresh air, listening to the sheep, and soaking up the views with a brew is such a treat. Thanks for sharing this place, Nicola.
