The Host Dianne was a great host and very responsive in communications. Went above and beyond and made you feel very welcome. She was never in the way but always there when needed. Perfect mix. The Accommodation There is a parking space for 1 car right next to the accommodation. The whole place was spotlessly clean with ample space, clear instructions and local recommendations. There was a gift of wine and gingerbread cake which went down a treat (thank you Dianne). Every little detail had been thought about in terms of being home away from home which was a bonus and made life easier and more relaxing. There was a plethora amount of things for children of all ages like board games, toys (indoor and outdoor), and also table football. Outside there was a trampoline and a little park for children with the addition of a boat to play on which went down a treat with my 3 year old. Its in the middle of nowhere but easily accessible with views to die for. We will 100% return in the future.

Fantastic location. Kirkby Stephen is a great place for a short break with plenty of places to visit nearby. The Airbnb is very well located with a free car park 5 mins walk away. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the many local cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, we found the people in them very friendly too. The apartment had everything you would need for a short break or even longer (the kitchen was very well appointed) the bed was very comfortable and we slept well both nights. Tracy provided some good information before visiting on the local eateries, there was also a folder full of walks and plenty of leaflets for things to do. Check in was super easy being a lock box. The only slight downside was the shower pressure wasn’t great for the size of the shower head, but that wouldn’t put us off returning and would recommend anyone wanting to stay near the Dales, Lake District or doing the coast to coast to stay there.

Our family (and dogs) had such a lovely stay at Cosy Nook Cottage and wished we had booked for longer. The interior is beautifully decorated, keeping a lot of the nice original cottage features but lovely and modern too. The bedrooms are a great size, we thought the 'shower cupboard' in the big bedroom was so quirky. The garden was our favourite thing and we were blessed with beautiful weather, the dogs loved it. We just had to keep a wee eye on them so they didn't jump the wall on one side, but this was fine to manage. The small touches, like cleaning products, milk and cooking essentials were also really helpful. The location is quiet, a small hamlet/village. It has a wee pub nearby that has a pizza van on a Friday night but doesn't serve food yet and there doesn't seem to be a shop nearby but Appleby and Kirkby Stephen are 15 mins drive away. If you want a peaceful stay in a lovely home and nice surroundings - book Cosy Nook.

The place was great and had everything we needed. We would recommend staying at Leanne’s place. The location was also fantastic, very quiet and close to beautiful walking trails.
