Beautiful!!! Very nice traditional house with pool, ping pong table, babyfoot, bikes…. A little piece of heaven! A little far from all tourist attractions, but there are all the useful shops in Tabua. For a nice family holiday, I would highly recommend it. Thanks to Melanie for all the useful instructions as soon as we arrive!

Me and my partner loved being received at Quinta das Águias! Ivone and Joepp are wonderful people and their animal sanctuary is so admirable, beautiful and inspiring to us :) Joepp's food was delicious and Ivone was kind enough to make us the best tea we ever tasted. I would love to come back in the future!

Our stay in this house was really fantastic! The house itself was amazing and offered incredible tranquility. The hostess is one of the friendliest people we have ever met. Upon arrival we could easily park our car in the driveway of the hostess's house. She was so thoughtful in helping us get our luggage to the vacation house. To get to the house, you walk through a beautiful vineyard. This walk is an experience in itself, the surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful. Once we arrived at the cottage, we were treated to an amazing view of the vineyard. The house itself is cozy and comfortably furnished, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a swimming pool within walking distance of the house, located on a hill. The pool is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and it was wonderful to spend time there with the family. All in all, this house was really a highlight of our first holiday in Portugal. We can recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay!

Beautiful place, stunning views, very yummy breakfast every morning. Carlos is very friendly and helpful. the little cabins are comfortable and perfect for families.

This place is peaceful and surrounded by nature with lots of trees and singing birds, includind the chickens that create an "quinta" atmosphere. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and caring. I highly recommend this countryside gem for a relaxing escape.

We loved the stay, the house was beautiful and welcoming. The village had a lot of wood to keep us warm in the living room. The kitchen was modern. I only have 2 things to point out: - had all the amenities required except for a dishwasher mop. - the oven plate was not well washed (we made it cleaner than we found it) Finally, I leave the suggestion to the host that the outdoor space has immense potential and could be better used as for example with a swimming pool, especially in the warmer months.

This place was everything we were looking for. The only disappointment - we had to leave too soon. Our family of 4+dog needed a place to unwind and relax before the busy school and work year. Peter and Kate have a perfect place in a beautiful valley, it’s very secluded, yet only a short drive to near-by towns and scenic points. Town of Tabua (about 10-15 min drive) had some nice restaurants. Everything looked and felt even better than in pictures. The house was very clean, spacious and had everything a family might need. Both hosts greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome and right at home. Directions and instructions were very clear and helpful. Our kids really enjoyed kayaking and stand-up paddling; they also fell in love with all the farm animals. The location of the farm is perfect, easy drive to Serra da Estrela, Serra da Lousa, so many beautiful towns, hikes, and scenic points all around (we enjoyed so many). We would love to make it our tradition and come back soon.

Jorge's space is wonderful, calm, serene and private making them disconnect from the real world and enjoying unforgettable moments. The smell of the lemon trees, the unexpected visit of the animals that inhabit it looks like we are in a movie. Espaço is well decorated it is fresh, light with an equipped kitchen for those who want to cook something fast. The brochure shared by Jorge has everything you need to visit the surrounding area for those who have nothing planned

We were a group of 12 girls spending the weekend in Candeleda and we loved staying here. There was everything and we felt right at home. Javier treated us great, very punctual when handing us the key and very flexible with schedules. The house is very easy and less than 10 minutes away from Candeleda. Although the final lane is not paved, we went with small cars and there was no problem. We would repeat and highly recommend it.

Second time we chose this place and it was great! We feel at home! Enjoy so much nature and animals, the calm and the comfort! It is undoubtedly a very good place to rest and for good times alone or as a family! We'll definitely be back! And Susana is so friendly and helpful! We really liked it!

Great place with an amazing view. The hosts are very welcoming. We had fruit, water, milk and port on arrival Well located near the city of Pinhao. Namely, there is a dishwasher in the apartment not mentioned in the listing ( very convenient). Thank you for hosting us Nathalie

We absolutely loved staying here. Ricardo was super friendly and helpful. Quinta Freiera is a stunning farm with loads of grape vines, lemon trees, orange trees, passion fruit, etc. It was so special to stay in a house that has been in his family for over 200 years. I highly recommend this quinta!

We spent an amazing weekend on Thursday. We went to a more homemade bachelorette party and we had exactly what we needed at our disposal: space, games, comfort. The fact that the rooms are in a different building from the rooms/kitchen helped a lot! Let's go back in the summer to enjoy the pool for sure! A special thank you to Pedro for all the friendliness and flexibility with our plans!

The house was very welcoming and the hostess left some pampering for us! When we arrived we had the warm house, some pampering in the fridge and two fresh breads 🙏 All impeccable . The house is super cozy, with a salamander that heats the whole house and available wood to use during our stay. It was a great option for a weekend two. Repeating!

What an incredible stay we had! Francisco and family were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. As others have said, he even brought us fresh bread in the morning, which we combined with local cheese, jam, and a nice Nespresso coffee. All very good but really it was the breakfast setting that made it amazing. Essentially you’re sitting out on a terrace in the sky overlooking the vineyards and the Vale de Mendiz. Stunning! Everywhere you go is a picture taking. The colours in the valley view are constantly changing with the light. Francisco also made recommendations which were very enjoyable outings, e.g. beautiful Casa de Mateus (we had lunch at Bistro Palcio just outside the main gate, try it), winery Quinta de São Luiz (Francisco’s son João recommendation), Pinhão for Douro river boat tour (the drive there along the valley is incredible). Must not forget the family’s happy-go-lucky long haired dachshund Pappy. What a cutie! Merci beaucoup Francisco! Gary & Suzie

I would sum it up with a wonderful word. I stayed with my group of friends to enjoy a special end. The house is perfect, even better than what is seen in the photos,with everything you need for a deluxe stay.Joao I provide wood to light the fireplace and enjoy the fire during the gatherings. There is even a superb barbecue,to make churrasco on the terrace that we didn't get to try because the nearby restaurants are spectacular. Everything was resolved very fluid and simple thanks to the kindness of Fátima and Joao. The natural environment is spectacular and with many hiking options, a finde knew us little by little. Super recommended to stay in this beautiful home.

The house was perfect. The area around the house was even better. It's an awesome option to stay away from noise and rush. The assistance was also great. All our questions were answered in advance and during the stay. I highly recommend this place, and I'll be glad to come back. Note: there are up to 5 big dogs outside the house. If you're planning to come with your dogs, keep in mind that it will be difficult/impossible to spend time with them outside.

The space was exactly what we were looking for to spend a weekend as a family. We really wanted to come back in the summer. Aníbal gave immense tips and greatly facilitated all the logistics of check in and checkout. We highly recommend!
