Hut vacation rentals in English Channel

I have so many great things to say, so to keep it short I'll bullet point. - Great location/community - Private - Friendly and responsive hosts - Clear instructions and tour - Clean and comfortable - Felt very welcomed - Also a bonus of a cat that sounds like a sheep :) Planning to go again, later this year. Would highly recommend

Fabulous hut in a glorious location. It has everything we needed and was beautifully clean. The host was extremely helpful and answered so quickly any questions. I would highly recommend a stay here.

We loved our stay at Joe's!! We'd recommend to anyone wanting a bit of a digital detox weekend. We don't live very far away at all, but this weekend felt like a complete removal of normal life as we were transported to a beautiful, calm and relaxing stay. The Shepherds Hut was super cosy and warm considering it was around 5 degrees outside over the weekend and colder at night. The sauna obviously was the star of the show for this reason too and one of the main reasons we booked this stay, it did not disappoint!! Lovely touches include the breakfast food in the fridge for the mornings & coffee, tea and hot chocolate all stocked. The privacy and space in the kitchen and bathroom. The walk out onto the public trail to take you into Lewes town centre, a gorgeous walk we'd 100% recommend. Joe was super friendly and available to help with anything we needed, couldn't have asked for any more from a host or stay! We'd love to come back in the summer!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hut has beautiful surroundings which we enjoyed from the hot tub. We walked to a cafe and then drove into the local town and went to a really nice pub. The hut was clean and had everything we needed. Thanks Fiona 😊

A truly stunning location. Beautiful walks in all directions. The hot tub was wonderful to gaze at the stars from. The shepherds hut has all the basics you need. I was a little apprehensive about the pullout bed and shower room being a short walk away but actually both these things were fine and not really a problem. It’s probably a little more rustic than luxury but that just adds to the quaintness of it. All in all a great stay!! A particular thanks to Sharon, the stand in host!!

Last minute Valentine get away with our two dogs. Despite pretty grim weather, you couldn't have wished to be anywhere cosier. Surprisingly spacious and everything you could think of, provided for a weekend away. Basic breakfast foods provided and of course Juliet's famous delicious short bread and doggie welcome treats.Private garden space adjoining a wood and secure field. Dogs roamed and played freely and safety. Bring lots of dog towels if you expect rain. Lovely shower in the cabin. Very well designed compost in a separate cabin. We kept close for dog exercise but there seems plenty of options for walking.. especially to pub...It's between 40 to 50 minute walk away. So many birds. Me and five friends spend New Year’s Eve at Fiona’s huts and we had the most amazing time. The place is even better than what you see in the pictures. It’s cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Fiona has been a completely star, helping us with transport and more. Hopefully we will come back!

The Shepards Hut was lovely, the fact it opens out onto the forest and from there you can walk to Moors Valley country Park away from the madding crowds was really peaceful and enjoyable, hosts were really accommodating and friendly

Had a lovely stay at John and Joan's cabin. Great location with some lovely walks onto the doorstep. Felt very rural but still within easy reach of the local amenities. Wood fired hot tub a real highlight! Would recommend.

We had a lovely stay. It's very close to town and an easy walk to the beach. It felt very private and the orientation of the windows and deck area made it very secluded with beautiful views. We would happily stay again.

Claire was the most amazing host from start to finish, all the beautiful touches in the shepherds hut were just so well designed and thought out, including a lovely bottle of fizz. The hot tub was all lit and ready for us to get in as soon as we arrived., we visited a couple of the local pubs which were absolutely delightful serving beautiful food. I totally recommend the Plough and the Hood inn, both only a couple of minutes away. The location of the Shepherds hut was just perfect far enough out of the way it was so peaceful and quiet but close enough to only be 20 minutes away from the M5. We have recommended this to a few of our friends and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for making the stay so perfect.

It was exactly as we expected. So peaceful and relaxing with Lovely surroundings and amazing wildlife. All you could hear were the birds chirping and the occasional woodpecker hammering away. Clare was really quick to respond to any question or query we had and we couldn’t fault her. We didn’t walk anywhere but we did get a taxi and the local firm turned up in 10 minutes. But we would recommend not leaving it last minute to book if you’re in a rush. We had a lovely afternoon wine tasting at the local Bolney wine estate and we also visited the cider tap which again we could not fault. Especially the Amazing pizza. We will definitely be staying again and can’t wait to get back chilling in the hot tub. Zee & Emily

Thank you for a great stay! it is definitely the best stay we have had. It is the perfect set for a gateway to enjoy the birds signing, walks, wood burner with board games & bbq etc. everything you need is provided and it is the most relaxing place, out the way, super private. its exactly like having your own forest. can't wait to go again.

Brilliant place to stay took my 10-month-old deaf puppy and the garden was perfect for her to run around freely without having to worry and very secure. We highly recommend it! Lovely weekend thank you 🤍🐾

Thank you for an absolutely amazing stay, everything has been well thought out including little details like bread, butter, jam, milk and orange juice for breakfast. Everything was pristine and beautifully laid out. We really enjoyed using the fire pit when the sun went down. We brought our puppy with us and there’s some stunning walks to go on around the property. The little garden you can enter was also a lovely touch. We went for dinner at The Rising Sun which was recommended on the information board in the hut, 10/10 would recommend! Thank you once again for an amazing stay, we will definitely be returning again. What an absolutely fantastic hidden gem x

Had a lovely stay here. Was nice and peaceful, grate communication with the host, we were able to check in an hour early and they gave us lots of local recommendations. Absolutely spotless and the comfiest bed ever! Would definitely come and stay again. Thank you!

Had an amazing time at Rosa and Marks Shepherds hut. They were amazing hosts and so welcoming and lovely and their dog Daisy was very friendly and got on well with ours. The Shepherds hut is fully kitted out and was everything we wanted. We couldnt have asked for a more magical stay and one we wont forget ! Cant wait to come back and stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in the Willow shepherds hut, everything was there as needed and with the extra touch of detail added, milk in the fridge, cereals in the cupboard. The shower facilities really stood out, private, clean and top quality, shower was even better than mine at home. Dog was really happy and able to be off lead. We loved the little deck area with the fire pit, everything was perfect for a memorable stay. Thank you, we will definitely book again!

What a wonderful time we had. Started off with an easy check in with Allison Coming out to greet us. Which is always handy as nothing can go wrong. Made sure everything was alright and asked if we had any questions. Was a nice clean hut with everything you need. It’s in a peaceful area with a couple of lovely pubs around. Which are walkable. We went out for an hour and kindly Allison kept the hot tub going for us by putting more wood in, if it was needed. Very helpful host. Overall our experience was great and definitely would recommend if you want a chilled weekend away.
