Restored train carriage by the sea

NancyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We've had a lovely week in the train carriage. Long walks and days on the beaches, cream teas and great meals out. My teenage children even forgot about TV and Wifi and enjoyed lots of chess and board games, and star gazing after days out! If you want to switch off and have a relaxing week in a beautiful part of the Isle of Wight, this is the perfect stay. It's a little shabby chic, but full of charm and has everything you'll need - very cosy and lots of space for dogs to sniff and run around.

Lovely location and cosy home. Even in winter there was lots to do nearby and the train stayed nice and toasty with the fire! The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We would happily stay again!

Mevy, A Victorian Slip Coach

CorraineRating, 5 stars69 months ago
It was simply amazing and such a privilege to stay in a converted Victorian carriage. It’s all very laid back and friendly and you are not interferes with in anyway but the hosts are easy to find if you need them. A must for a train lover. The carriage was clean and though fully furnished with the added luxury of fresh flowers and a welcome pack. We will definitely be recommending

UNIQUE HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE IN A RAILWAY CARRIAGE!

JackRating, 5 stars7 months ago
St Austell's hidden gem! We are so pleased we stumbled upon this quirky, off grid stay nestled in the valley. My wife and I, our 3 children 3,4 and 6 and our dog Winnie all fitted comfortably into the carriage. The boys loved the bunk beds and our eldest took the twin room at the other end of the carriage. We had the double! The weather wasn't great so we had the little woodburner on its the morning and before bed, and the kids loved helping us build the fire. It was our first time using an eco loo, which is not for everyone but I loved it! Fantastic warm outdoor shower added an element of luxury to the stay. There was also a lot of open outdoor space which the kids loved cycling around on. Great opportunity to get the kids away from screens, and our eldest is now addicted to Uno! For us, the carriage was a great intro into off grid living and we found the experience good value for money. Thank you Chris & Jo! The Duseks.

Beautifully Restored WW2 Carriage - Sleeps 6

ClaireRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Unique accommodation in a peaceful location. The inside space is quite compact but worked well enough for two adults, a teenager, and a dog for a short break in February. We liked the outlook and it was great to have a private garden space for the dog, as well as a footpath nearby for a quick morning/evening walk. It is a short drive to the Witterings beaches and also to Bosham and Chicester. Lots of great pubs and other places to eat nearby.

Delightful one bedroom converted Railway Carriage

JoeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Very nice stay. Happened to meet Amy when we arrived and she was warm and friendly. Lovely little place with just what you need. Lots of storage under the bed with the microwave, hob etc underneath ready to be pulled out and used. Comfy bed. Slept me and my partner (we’re both 6ft tall) no problems. Nice cosy long weekend away with a fire to keep us warm.

The Bolthole on Pagham Beach + The Hut

Spent a long weekend for family birthday. Captivating location. Beautiful property. Long walks very peaceful location. Despite 12 hour power cut we enjoyed marshmallows around the fire pit and playing cards surrounded by candle light. Can’t wait to return.

Haystore- Luxury Railway Carriage with Hot Tub

AnastasiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stayed at the Haystore for two days at the end of a work trip from Canada instead of going to London and it was unreal. It was a perfect location to relax and the carriage is impressively stocked for the size. So long as you don't mind driving a bit, it was also the perfect homebase for traveling around visiting all the cider farms in Somerset. There is a coffee shop in walking distance as well which was a pleasant surprise. I would readily come stay here again next time I'm in the UK, two days wasn't enough!

Harbour Road — Quirky Beach Railway Carriages

NicolaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This is our second trip to Victoria's train carriages. My sister and I adore staying here with our kids. Victoria's place is fun, friendly, inviting and just so relaxing! The facilities and personal touches are so homely, the perfect place to shut off from everything and enjoy some time away! Thoughtful welcome treats greet you on your arrival and the kids always enjoy the selection of board games. We made use of the fantastic outdoor space this time around and also spent time on the beach, which is just a very short walk from the carriages. Thank you once again Victoria! We cannot wait to return!
