House vacation rentals in Failsworth

Lynda is a brilliant host and had tea, coffee, milk and fruits ready for us before we arrived. The place was very clean and felt like home. Kids loved the place and the board games. The icing on the cake is the location as, it is next to Ocean edge. She responded promptly for any questions we had. We have enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return back if we visit surrounding places. Thank you very much for hosting us Lynda, we had a great time.

The college condition and feel is a real credit to the hard work Angela and staff put in. It feels like you’re at home from the moment you walk through the door and the views a just breathtaking. The bath towels feel amazing and the cottage is very well stocked with everything you need in the way of equipment and also of a very good quality. We were lucky enough to have some very fine weather and completed some great local walks and running routes. There wasn’t one thing that I could fault with this whole experience and can’t wait to book again.

The house was absolutely incredible and excellent value for money. It was in stunning surroundings, the hot tub was amazing and the exclusive booking system for use of the pool was a lovely addition. The house was spotless and full of character and the private garden was also wonderful. The beds were really comfortable and there was just the right balance of charm, space and comfort. We definitely struck gold when booking this gem. Thanks so much for all of your support in making this a trip to remember!

We had a great stay at knockerdown. We loved the pool and the play park was perfect for the children to play while I got dinner done. Overall it was a lovely environment and so close to local amenities. I am looking forward to staying again soon.

What a wonderful host, and magical place. It was such a lovely time, we’ve booked to come again. Mike is a treat, a remarkable character who exudes a warm that makes you feel instantly at home. The barn is full of charm and the chickens, ducks and peacocks a delight (especially if you see them angling for a biscuit from Mike!) The pool is incredible. Perfect for all ages. We’re half visiting again in the hope the kids will be bored of the pool and we’ll be able to get out and explore more… I don’t hold out too much hope on that one. A real gem of a find.

What a wonderful few days we’ve had at the Round House for our first trip to the Peak District. We loved the house and the pool was a really big highlight - all of our three girls said it’s the best! Having stayed in lots of different Air B&Bs, we want to say how well Izzy communicated. We had a nightmare journey up on Friday from Devon and she let us use the pool an hour after the finish time, which was much appreciated. She was also quick to answer any questions over the weekend - nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back to the Peaks again as it’s a beautiful county and hope to check out their other property Swallows. Highlights included walks along Dovedale, Thor’s cave and of course, Chatsworth only 10 mins away. The house is very comfortable and an excellent location for the sights.

Delanie couldn’t have been more helpful. We arrived to an amazing welcome hamper and balloons for my sister in laws 30th. The house was lovely. The bar and pool area were just wow!! We spent the whole day by the the pool Saturday. It was lovely and warm and so relaxing. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

This is an outstanding property. It was beautifully clean , just as described and as shown in the photos. The beds are really comfortable . It’s perfectly positioned in a quiet residential area, within a 5 minute walk to the high street with plenty of shops pubs and restaurants. Clare was very responsive and gave clear instructions for our arrival, stay and departure. We would definitely stay again. 5 stars.

We had a lovely stay. The house looks just like the pictures and had plenty of space for all of us. The location is great for getting into central Manchester, and Jordan and Tate were responsive and helpful throughout. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is only one bathroom, but this was clearly mentioned in the listing, so we were prepared. Overall, a very nice stay. Thank you!

Enjoyed staying here. Plenty of pubs and restaurants and takeaways nearby. Bus stop round the corner on the main road for the centre of Manchester. £2 bus cap fare and £9 for a family day rider. House was clean and quiet with off and on street parking. All the essentials that you needed were supplied. Easy to find and get in Very impressed, would definitely stay here again.

Exactly what we needed for a night away for a wedding. Usmaan was helpful and flexible and made our stay much easier. Lovely to be back at Danielle’s - just as clean and tidy as last time - exactly what was needed!

We had a great 10 night stay. The house had everything a family could need including everything for a baby like a gate for the stairs, high chair, cot and baby bath. The house also had lots of games and toys perfect for a rainy day. The kitchen had all the appliances you need to cook food for a family of four including herbs and spices and a dishwasher. As well as a great washing machine, dryer and ironing board with all soap and detergents provided. There were plenty of towels, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and hand soap was provided as well as cleaning supplies. Most importantly house was cosy and warm all the time despite the cold weather. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the owners were very polite and quick to respond. Highly recommend!!!

We had a fantastic weekend staying in this property. We were attending a football match at the Etihad and it was a short 10 minute walk from the house. Absolutely perfect for what we wanted, would 100% book in here again if we ever return to watch Man City in the future.

Lovely little canal side home. Communication was excellent & nothing too much trouble. It felt like we were much further into the countryside as it was so peaceful, but then all of Poynton village was very accessible. Thanks for having us.
