A cosy self-contained apartment joined to a beautiful 18th century cottage. Nestled in the rural surroundings of the Campsie Fells and Fintry Hills, this welcoming accommodation has been converted specifically as its own independent holiday home.
“The Sidings is a beautiful, warm and cosy place, that’s had a lot of thought and attention put into it. Kayt and David’s communication was excellent and there were a lot of nice touches such as the milk and bread, the draw full of useful items and the many books on Scotland. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The view from the back is stunning, and regardless of the weather it’s very relaxing to watch the scenery with a good book. Fintry is a very nice village with a welcoming and friendly inn just across the road. There are some lovely walks nearby and lots to do within a short drive. The awesome Loup of Fintry waterfall is just a couple of miles away, well worth a visit even in the middle of Storm Ciara! I’d have no hesitation in recommending the Sidings for any length of stay.”
Our home is a beautiful extended cottage with frankly outstanding views and set within a lovely garden, just over a mile outside the idyllic village of Fintry towards Kippen. Our place is nestled in the shadow of the Campsie Hills. You’ll love our place because of the views and we're ideal for couples and solo adventurers. We're also ideally located for the popular wedding venues of Culcreuch Castle and The Tin Shed at Knochraich Farm
“The cottage is wonderful, with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Inside the decor is lovely, our private room was clean and cosy. Our welcome couldn't have been warmer, being made a cup of tea on arrival and the hospitality throughout our stay couldn't have been better. Our hosts Victoria and Richard were lovely, they more than looked after us and gave us tips for future vists, thier son Alistair was adorable. Me and my partner couldn't recommended this place enough! Even if it's out of your way it's worth it and at only around £60 it's a bargain as well.”
Three Berries Cottage is in the rural village of Fintry. Situated in Central Scotland close to Stirling, and on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, it is an ideal base for exploring this stunning part of the world. It is set in a secluded spot, surrounded by fields in the grounds of Culcreuch Castle Estate, and boasts a variety of domestic animals right on the doorstep.
“Our second stay at Three Berries Cottage. Such lovely Christmas touches when we arrived. Cottage so clean and cosy. Our boys love the outside space. Nice walk to The Courtyard Cafe for brunch and browse at their gift shop. Easy drive to Edinburgh. Would recommend Park and Ride Ingliston as from there tram or bus to Edinburgh. Go Karting near Falkirk really good fun. Lovely walks at Carron Valley Reservoir. Maybe even try Meikle Bin for a hike. Such a good base to explore. We had such a lovely break.”
