Homey Cottage with Glacier View

Our homey mountain retreat used to be my grandparents' place and has been completely renovated just recently. We wanted to preserve the snug and cosy traditional atmosphere with a combination of traditional furniture and a more modern almost minimalistic kind of interior. We kept parts of the traditional furniture and a beautiful collection of my granddad's handcarved portraits on the ground floor and combined it with bright wood and white on the first floor to leaven the atmosphere.

Sit inside this cosy wooden house, or enjoy the garden to have those stunning views on the mountains. Hqve a BBQ, sit around the fireplace down at the stream or relax in the garden. Just a 15 minutes walk into the center of Gröbming with shops and restaurants. Stoderzinken - voted most beautiful place of Austria in 2022 is just up the road. There are lovely walks directly from the house as well. New: Sommercard includes many cable cars in the region as well as many entries.

Chalet Maria is a traditional Austrian mountain retreat situated close to Maria Alm and right in the middle of the fantastic Hochkoenig skiing and hiking area. A freestanding bathtub and our Swiss pine sauna are certainly among the things that are not so easily found elsewhere.
